I can't say enough good about Dr. Berger and his staff. Everyone was so personable and very informative. Dr. Berger and the staff put me at ease about the procedure and answered all of my questions. The best part about the entire ordeal is that, because of Dr. Berger's clinical expertise and precision in doing this procedure, we now have a beautiful baby boy just one year after the reversal! I could never thank him enough for giving me a child....I didn't think it was possible and was skeptical about the viability of tubal reversal as an option for having another child. Well, now I would definitely recommend Dr. Berger to anyone who is considering it and are skeptical. He is an excellent surgeon and has great bedside manner...I don't think I've ever encountered such a caring physician....

I was a patient of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center (CHTRC) and had my procedure on July 23, 2009. My situation is probably different from most women who come to this clinic because I did not have a tubal ligation. After my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage due to a blighted ovum in August 2008, an HSG test misdiagnosed me with having blocked tubes in March 2009. Then, after a failed cycle of IVF this past May, my husband and I decided to take care of the root of the problem and have my tubes repaired by Dr. Berger at CHTRC. During a laparoscopic procedure, Dr. Berger found out that both my tubes are actually open so no surgery was required. Due to this finding, Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center refunded almost 43% of the fee. This proves that Dr. Bergers primary objective is to help women have a baby and not to run a business. Only 6 weeks after my procedure, I found out that I am pregnant! Thank you Dr. Berger for making this possible!

In looking at the reviews on Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center it shows many happy patients. If a surgery was cancelled it seems it would be for good reason. One of the major factors is the health of the patient which needs to come first.

If you look on the message board you will see very many happy couples that have been given the chance to become parents.

From personal experience, I would say dont expect the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center to do much, if any digging, into your prior medical conditions to help the process move forward. My wife had a procedure canceled literally 2 hours after a concern was raised, no exaggeration, no joke. The doctor and/or staff never bothered to contact my wifes doctors about the condition or suggested an updated test (the results they were working with was multiple years old, we didnt know this was a concern and they would take such a drastic action or we might have gotten another test before sending it to them). And the concern was about anesthesia, something my wife just had not 4 months before we scheduled this appointment. While we feel like there was some other reasoning behind this cancellation, I wont speculate with this review, only give the facts. We have tried to resolve this matter directly with the Center and through mediators; they have been unwilling to work with us on the matter. The responses we have received started with statements that we signed a contract and have dissolved into blatantly making inaccurate statements that can easily be proven false with the documentation they attempt to use as proof for their untrue statements.

Part of the reason Im posting this is to let potential clients know to watch your back, and dont expect much help if you hit a bumpat least that was our experience. The other part is Im curious to see their response to this as they will know who I am. Are we bitter about this situation? Absolutely, but not for the reason they assume. My wife and I tried to roll the dice with a reversal and knew going in that the reversal might not be successful and that there might even be a reason to not move forward with the procedure. We are not disputing that the doctors decision might have been the right one in the end; we disputing what a contract means for both parties and the effort, or lack thereof, that the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center put forth to honor their side of the contract. This lack of effort has ended up costing us an administrative fee that, while directly specifies the effort of scheduling an appointment and paperwork that is required for a procedure, is implied that the Center puts forth a reasonable effort to honor their side of the contract. The Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center did not make a reasonable attempt to honor their side of the contract, thus they have rendered the contract void and the payment be returned, in full. That is our issue and what the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center will not acknowledge. My wife and I came to them for an elective procedure, for help, and they are using a contract that they did not attempt to honor, they couldnt even pick-up a phone to try to help us with a concern, as the right for charging a fee.

Whatever method you decide to give a try, my wife and I hope you have success, but as I said, watch your back with the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.

To Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center: Im sure youre going to post some type of response saying look at our successes or they signed a contract but reviews also include situations that your doctors and other staff create, good and bad. They arent just about your successes, its also about your mistakes and, even more importantly, how you deal with them. Please make sure you re-read what Ive stated before you respond, theres no disputing the facts Ive presented; I have the documentation to prove all of it. A contract always has two sides to it and a critical component is that both sides make a reasonable effort to complete their side of the contract. We had two doctors that were ready, willing and able to talk to your staff about my wifes situation that will state for the record that they were never contacted. The procedure was over six weeks away when it was canceled, that was more than enough time for my wife to have had the test redone so that we would have been working off up to date information. Im sure your staff will have no problem identifying me, so give me a call, drop me a email, Id be happy to discuss this situation further and theres nothing more than Id like to do than to retract this statement. Your Center seems to have great results, but you have made a mistake in this situation and my hope is that youll own up to it and make it right.

Dr. Berger and his group of medical professionals are committed to helping patients conceive through their state of the art tubal reversal surgery. I had my surgery in 1997 and, after a quick recovery, today have three beautiful and amazing children ages 3,5 and 7. The caring staff are amazing and make you really feel important and special throughout the process. They provided the most wonderful gift of all to women like myself who never thought they could conceive again ... hope! I would highly recommend them to any and all women struggling with infertility after tubal ligation. The results were nothing short of miraculous for me!

Our Son was born on 7-6-09. We couldnt of conceived him naturally without the help of Dr. Berger at the Chapel Hill tubal reversal Center in North Carolina. We live in California and the Drs around here discouraged me from having the tubal reversal done because of my age (41). After reading the testimonials and talking to people on the message boards. we decided that Tubal Reversal at Chapel Hill with Dr. Berger was the right choice for us. We made the long plane ride from California to North Carolina and had the surgery the next morning.The Chapel Hill staff was friendly and very organized. We met with Dr. Berger first and then they prepped me for the surgery. They answered all my questions and I felt like I was in good hands. After the surgery, a nurse came to our hotel room and checked my incision and gave us instructions on how to care for it. The next day we were back on a plane to California. I healed pretty fast. It took us 6 months to get pregnant.

I had my tubal reversal done in Nov. 05 after my infant son passed away. I just gave birth to my first tubal reversal baby on July 13, 2009. Thanks be to God, and Dr. Berger and his staff. I never thought I would see the day that I would have another baby. This has truly been a blessing. I would recommend Dr. Berger to anyone looking to have another baby after having their tubes tied.

I chose Chapel Hill after considering many other facilities, even in my own hometown of Houston Texas. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. After one phone call I felt as if I had known them forever and they had known me forever. They worked hard with me to be able to prepare for this journey and it was truly incredible.I had my tubal reversal in 2003, and became pregnant 8 months later. I have to admit I was hesitant at first, because I am from Texas and I would have to travel to North Carolina. But I spent many wonderful phone conversations and emails with Dr. Berger and his staff, that by the time it was time to go, I felt I had friends there. The treated me very well, and took good care of me and my husband. I gave birth to my son Victor in April 2004, and he is my pride and joy-all because of Dr. Berger's expertise and the hope he gave us. God blessed us truly with my son. Not a day goes by that I don't recall the journey we made and the successful outcome. I would recommend them based on his experience and expertise in that area and that his staff holds the same convictions as he does. Do your research on others and then call Dr. Berger. He is well worth the trip. I have my son to prove it.

Dr. Berger has hands given as a gift from God. I am now on my 2nd pregnancy. The 1st one resulting in a beautiful baby boy. I would recommend going to him over any other tubal reversal Dr. in the world!!!!

Dr. Berger and his staff were very helpful, very understanding and very caring of our needs and wants in our endeavor to have our tubal reversal surgery. Three months after our procedure we conceived our baby boy and 9 months later we welcomed our son.

My name is Christine 'Tina' Kachmar and my husband Mike and I welcomed our son, Maxson on March 26, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 ozs. and was 22 inches long. I had my tubal reversal in August 2004 after being hulka clipped for 9 years. I had a miscarriage in 2006 but the wait was well worth it. Our son is perfect and he is very healthy. I would recommend Dr. Berger's facility because everyone there was so nice and obviously the procedure was a success. I was very nervous about having a Tubal Reversal, but after entering the doors of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center I knew that everything would be O.K. The staff was great, they made you feel comfortable and made sure you knew everything that was going on. Dr. Berger was great, he told us what would happen during surgery and gave us advice on how to get a positive pregnancy sooner. I had my reversal on Dec. 31. 2008 and got my positive test on Feb. 13, 2009. I am now 10 week. pregnant and doing great. I would recommend Chapel Hill to anyone hoping to have another baby after a Tubal Ligation.

I traveled to Chapel Hill on 4/10/07 to get my tubal reversal. I was very nervous, but once I got there Dr. Berger and his wonderful staff were very kind and considerate and very professional. I would recommend Chapel Hill to anyone who was looking to get there tubes reverse. Everyone there was so nice and helped me with any questions that I had. I had my TR on 4/10/07 and was pregnant on 7/12/07 and had my son on 3/12/08. Just want to thank Dr. Berger and his great staff you all are wonderful people.

I travelled to Chapel Hill to have a tubal reversal performed by Dr. Berger in January 2009. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at his surgical center! Everyone we encountered was amazing, caring, knowledgeable and professional! This facility is of the highest quality. The individual care given to each patient makes you feel like you are the only one there! I would recommend Dr. Berger and his center to anyone considering tubal reversal. Although there is one Doctor in my hometown that performs tubal reversal, we traveled from Canada to have Dr. B perform the surgery because we wanted the best! And that's exactly what we got!! We could not be any more satisfied with the whole experience. I highly recommend Dr. Berger and his Tubal Reversal Center in Chapel Hill NC!!

My Wife and I went to this Clinic after 2 Years of researching the possibility of having her TL reversed. This Clinic was our 2nd Choice because our 1st Choice closed. It was the best Price available for the Procedure and his Reputation was what made us choose him over others we were considering. The Staff was curtious and friendly. We met the Doctor briefly and then the next morning had Surgery. Everything went smooth and 1 Year and 5 Months after the Surgery we welcomed a healthy little Boy to our Family!
