Family businesses are the best!! LaPorta's is no expcetion.
When I started getting my pizza from LaPorta's, Pat was still throwing the crusts by hand--I rememer taking my nephew as a 7 year old to see the pies flying in the air. So, yes, nostalgia hooked me, but the pizzas clinched it, and I have been hooked ever since the first time.
Try it, you'll be glad you did!! and if Pat's there, ask if he'll throw the crust for you!
Me and my two daughters are from down South, Louisiana, as a matter of fact, and I married a man here in Williamsville, in 2004...we ordered from Laporta's and I honestly believe they have the best tasting pizza and wings I've ever tasted!!...their pizza dough is wonderful, and also their barbequed wings are to die for!!..;)...Since we have ordered from them, we have ordered from other places, but, I always tell my husband if there's any way I want to get it from Laporta's...their pizza's have the best taste, fresh, and so are their ingredients....we always appreciate their prompt service and how nice they are...my husband of course has ordered from them before we married, and has always thought highly of their food....So, Laporta's THANK YOU....we will be moving down South, sometime in the near future, because of my husbands health, but, you will always be our favorite Pizzeria!!...:)..Richard and Bonnie Colletti
PROS: Wonderful Place, it's cozy and a wonderful place to eat..:)
CONS:
My family has been loyal customers at LaPorta's for over 10 years now. It started out as a small pizzeria/take out place on the corner of a shopping plaza, and recently has expanded to add more seating for restaurant dining. The pizza is not really NY style or Chicago style or any style I can name, but their pizza has it's own unique quality which has remained consistently good for over 10 years. They use plenty of fresh ingredients and the pizza is not greasy. Their Buffalo wings are also pretty good too! A great little pizza place - my family has tried other pizza places around Buffalo here and there but we always come back to LaPorta's.
