Reviews for Blue Smoke

Ratings_icons upscale bbq yum

Great spot for upscale bbq. I actually love taking the kids here. There aren't too many kids around usually, but they treat them very well (crayons, etc) and it's a fun place to go. Food is fabulous too.

Fabulous veggie burger! I know, I know, Blue Smoke is for the meat lover but this cow-friendly meal is worth a try. And the desserts are amazing! My favorite is probably the chocolate cake. Or the banana cream pie. Or an ice cream sundae. I could go on....

Ratings_icons Great bbq

I recently had a great meal at Blue Smoke. The pulled pork was really great. I loved the hush puppies. They were my favorite. The beans were a little too sweet for my taste. The beer selection was great.

Ratings_icons Best Ribs I have ever had...

Johnny N. | insider Insider | Rank: 22,726

This place specializes in slow cooked ribs and they do it to perfection! They have several varieties, and I can never remember which one I like best... St Louis, Memphis, Kansas City... Actually, I've had them all, and they are ALL good. But I think St Louis is my favorite.

My only complaint is the sides. I love good ribs with mashed potatoes and thick brown gravy. But their gravy is of the lighter variety and not that tasty.

I have also gotten take out from them twice. I will try to avoid that in the future. I'm not sure if I'm just paranoid, or if they get "damaged" in the packing, but the takeout ribs just dont compare to the eat in ribs. They are smaller and they dont seem to come from the same slab. My paranoid side says they are tossing odds and ends into the takeout orders.

Still the ribs are just so good they override any other flaws. Try to get their before 6:30 PM, else you might end up waiting for 45 minutes or more. The place is packed every night.
