Spear Auctions are the best in town. You can't believe all the reviews that everyone gives. They are just mad because they did not get to purchase the items, and it made them mad. They are trying to give them a bad rep. Why is it they always have a packed out building on auction day??? I believe that everyone has a story. I still will be going to the auctions... They are great!!!!

After many years of knowing Mr. Richard Spear and unfortunately being a part of his family for 14 years I can attest to the dishonest, greedy, calculating, deceitful coward that he is. I have worked for Mr. Spear in his auction business. Spear Auction employs mainly family members who cover of course his unethical practices of conducting his auction business. For example just recently an auction was held where a special edition Harley Davidson motorcycle was to be sold with an estate. His son Justin Spear, who has always desired to own a Harley Davidson cycle had the convient opportunity to purchase this expensive cycle at an extremely dicounted price. The Harley Davidson though listed to be sold some how did not make the newspaper listing that reaches the public. Therefore anyone who may have been interested in this item had no way of knowing it was even at the auction. Richard Spear was behind this intentional missing item to allow his son to purchase this Harley. This is just the tip of the ice berg in his dishonest unethical business. His family has the opportunity to view the items a customer wants to sell. They place workers or friends in the crowd to purchase those items. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spear have a 4,000 sqaure foot warehouse full of antiques, farm equipment, and items purchased from their own auctions. Also a second home full of furniture purchased dishonestly from his own auctions. I feel this is unfair to the customer and the auction goers. Richard Spear is a coward who hides behind his butt kissing buddies who carry political weight in this town. He will lie, cheat, and manipulate to get what he wants. As I said this is the tip of the iceberg. He also holds an insurance license that needs to be revoked. I know for a fact that he has backdated policies for his own benifit and the benefit of his son Justin Spear. He has conducted himself in insurance fraud on several occasions. I feel for the Mr. Jayson S. family. I would like to join you in your pursuit for justice. Mr. Richard Spear is so crooked he will be screwed in the ground and serve his eternity where he belongs.

Richard Spears is a liar in general as a person and a crook in the auction business that I have filed a formal complaint with the State of Arkansas Auctioneers governing board under his license. He was made aware as part of an estate auction including family land that I as a member of the estate had not been informed that their would be an auction by the estate lawyer and then falsified under penalty to the court by the estate lawyer and Richard Spears that I had been notified that I was given notice and agreed when infact I had never been contacted by him or the estate lawyer. I contacted Richard Spears personally when the ad come out in the newspaper by phone and mail which advised him that the family member and the lawyer who commissioned him were not legal nor was I in agreement to any auction. He was rude, unprofessional and so was his staff to the extent that he accused me of threatning him with physical harm and ignored all written correspondance and phone callsafter talking to him once on the phone. Even after costing my mother and me over $5000 in legal expense to get an emergency court order and serving him with it stating that he could not have the sale--he still ignored the Court Order. He let his greed and poor attitude persist to slander me saying I threatned to whip his butt which is a bold face lie and he had the most devious intentions by still putting up auction signs all around and on the land which he had been served a cease and decist order several weeks prior to the scheduled auction. He even showed up and tried to have the auction on the morning that it was scheduled and we and our lawyers and family friends block the driveway and hand out copies to people showing up to the auction copies of the court order and call the law to stop him from trespassing. If the State of Arkansas does not revoke his auctioneers license and make him repay our legal bills then I will file a lawsuit against Richard Spears Auctions of Russellville Arkansas because I have 100's of wittnesses to the deception, lies and burdon of financial expense that this man put our family through. BEWARE HE IS SO CROOKED THEY WILL HAVE TO SCREW HIM IN THE GROUND WHEN HE DIES. HE IS EVIL AND CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!

Spear Auctions are the most superb run auctions I have ever attended. The Spears have a top-notch staff. Every auction is run in a professional manner. They use a high tech system to record bids and you get a computer printout of your purchases when you check out. Because of the high tech system, there is no waiting for the clerk to get the records of your purchases to the cashier if you decide to leave early. If you are looking for a fun fascinating day at the auction be sure to look for a Spear Auction.
PROS: excellent service, fun auctions
CONS: none at all
