My PCP in this Total Care Physicians in Glasgow office left, so I called in one day asking the staff to transfer my medical record to the new PCP I have selected in a different facility. Then the staff actively suggested me to come and visit one of the doctors in this facility. That is normal when they try to keep the patients. However, she made it sound like it will be a very simple transfer and I do not need to do anything, but what she did not or chose not to tell me at all is that my insurance company will charge a big chuck of money if I visit a doctor other than the PCP even in the same facility. Now I end up having to pay that amount out of my own pocket. Had I not found this hidden charge earlier, it could be even worse.
Be aware of their staff and their suggestions/information. I have been misled and misinformed several times including the pre-approval forms required for my tests from my insurance company that I probably could have been charged thousands of dollars due to their unprofessional and irresponsible attitude towards the patients. Not sure what things their office manger will do towards this. Will NEVER go back to this facility again. There are a lot more medical centers to choose!

I have been really happy with Total Care Physicians, not sure why some negative commentary. I've always been able to be seen by somebody, and the doctors I've seen at Omega are very friendly and smart. Some of these other reviewers complain about waiting times, visits every 3 months, but I've switched from other offices with the same issues and it just seems to be what happens in a doctors office. I'd rather them be a little late and take their time than rush me out. Overall I'm very satisfied with TCP.

First of all, it is always freezing when you enter their waiting room, I understand why it has to be cooler, but really. Twice they have cancelled appointments for me and I have shown up not knowing because they call my home, hello!!!! I work all day, how am I supposed to get a message at home. Take the few extra minutes and call me at work to tell the doctor has cancelled my appointment. I get charged the $50 if I don't show up, do I get a credit when I don't get personally notified when the doctor cancelled. They can never see my son for last minute appointments, as only certain doctors can see the young children. It seems to be only about the money and not the patients, as it should be.

I am very frustrated with Total Care Physicians and have been forced to changed my Primary Care Physician after many long years of seeing Dr. Goodman. I am on 2 maintenance medications - one for blood pressure and the other for my thyroid. Those jackasses make me come in for an appointment every 90 days - EVERY 90 DAYS! They will not give me enough refills for the year. Did I mention I've been on the same 2 medications for 6 years!!!! So I did some homework, lots of homework and every other doctor out there will see you in his office only once a year and give you enough refills for the year. For maintenance medications where nothing changes, going in every 3 months, sitting in that waiting room for 45mins to an hour because they are ALWAYS OVERBOOKED, for them to take my bp, take my temp, ask me how I'm doing then give me a new prescription for another 90 days is bullsh*t. It's all about the money. Not only are they getting my copay every 3 months, they are billing the insurance company for alot more. My advice to you, if you are required to take daily maintenance medication for the rest of your life, stay far away from Total Care Physicians. Unless you don't mind going in every 3 months and handing them your money.

With my experiences at Total Care Physicians, I have found the staff and physicians caring, patient, thorough. My one negative comment would be that I am now with my third physician--the first two left to open private practices. I would definitely recommend them. I h ave never had an appointment and had to wait an extraordinary amount of time.

It is ridiculous that you cannot talk to a person. Even when you leave a message or send an email to the doctor's secretary, you never get a response. It is a terrible situation to be in when you are sick or have a sick child. I feel like there is absolutely no relationship there at all. If anyone can refer me to a good family doctor in the Bear, DE area that you can actually have a relationship with I would appreciate it.

I am switching since every time I call for an appointment I am told the DR I was seeing has left. The reason that one gave me was that he was not allowed to spend adequate time with each patient. All the doctors and PAs have been good but I want to establish a relationship with one doctor not have a new one each time.

I have used T.C.P. for many years. Once there, the quality of service is excellent. Contacting T.C.P., however, requires an act of congress to get through to a live human being. Most WORKING people have lunch hours that occur between 12 and 1 pm. When does the entire T.C.P. practice take lunch, You guessed it, between 12 and 1.They give out bogus email info, hold times are excessive, and there is an answering service after hours that tells you to call back during regular business hours? If it is an emergency, go to the emergency room.People get sick at all hours and need help or advice. My customers can call my company anytime day or night and get a live human response. It isn't like these people don't get paid well.When was the last time you looked at one of your medical statements. Something as simple as getting a refill prescription should not take three days to happen. Many medications don't allow one to stop taking them abruptly without severe medical repercussions. The procedural methodology employed by T.C.P. is at best lacking a form or format that makes any real sense. They should have at the very least, a refill phone line that is separate from the main number. Their main number takes the entire volume of calls for every issue. That means extended hold times and getting placed in perpetual phone limbo, only to continue tying up the lines while trying to figure out the next answering machine message. Meanwhile, anyone else trying to call, gets a busy signal. In reality, who is getting assistance.

It is very difficult to get through to speak to someone.
I spent 45 minutes on the line waiting for someone to answer the call. if you have a sick child, you should not have to wait 30-45 min. on the phone to speak to someone.

My daughter has been going there since the death of her first pediatrician at the age of 6 and she is now 13. The office staff are terrific and the doctors are wonderful and caring. I've never had a problem getting an appointment. If your child is sick and needs to be seen they will usually try and get them in that day or early the next. The doctors really care about your child and will do tests and exams to make sure that there isn't anything serious with your child's illness. My daughter feels very comfortable going to these doctors. She seems to really feel comfortable with Dr. Williams. The office is clean and very pleasant. You certainly have to make sure you are on time because they have a busy office but being on time shouldn't be that difficult for adults at least is never was for me. When you arrive for your appointment, there is a short wait time and thats a plus when you have little ones. Thank you

It's hard to find a good pediatrician these days! I've been to this office for three regular visits for my daughter and seen three different doctors. The other staff is nicer than any of the doctors. It's hard to get through on the phone, and the wait is often long even when you have an appointment.
