I love the physicians at this office. When I gave birth to my child they were at the hospital caring for his needs and ten years later they are still active members of our lives. The review where the woman spoke of the doctors not washing their hands, and the dirty stuff animals in the face (by the way that is my most favorite doctor!) Those doctors have years of experience and they have not become desensitized to their craft/gift of giving medical attention. They are great physicians. When my son is sick we get in right away and even though the well/sick room is not divided using a door or divider, it works in that my child has not gotten sick from being there. Some of the office staff need customer service training, yes and that takes away from the office overall ratings, but Jackie the office manager has always been around and she is just what others described, GREAT!! and ACCOMODATING! She is like the physicians in that they excel and no matter how many patients they see during the day, they make you feel as though you are their first and only. I feel bad for all of the bad reviews they received. If only they had given the physicians a chance, they would never let go. Like I said, I'm ten years in and I will go as long as they see my child!

If you have the good sense to read reviews of pediatricians before taking your children to see them, then this practice is not for you. Where to start.

1. The College Park office is filthy and in utter disarray. Stains on the carpets, something wet running down the wall, papers all over the place on the receptionist counter (some of which was patient health info!). There was blood on the bathroom floor and in the sink. I understand the staff can't go in after every use, but it's a safety issue. It also speaks to the clientele at this office....

2. The other patients and their parents are unacceptable as human beings. Seriously, there is a sick section and a well section for a reason. Don't let your hacking child touch my infant son's face. Don't even be in the well room. Speaking of which, the sick and well rooms in the College Park office are barely segregated. It's literally an open doorway separating them.

3. The facilities are ill equipped and the staff doesn't care. The room we were seen in had a table with used paper on it. It was apparent nothing at all had been done to the room between the previous patient leaving and them sticking us back there. They have medical waste cans that are UNCOVERED. In a pediatrician's office. Who are these people?? There are no sinks in the rooms, just a bottle of hand sanitizer. Literally, the only medical supply in the exam room was a box of tongue suppressors. Not even any latex gloves. Might be because the clientele steals everything, but that's no excuse in my book.

4. Unacceptable clinical practices. The doctor did a few things that really made me cringe. First, he never washed his hands. Second, he had these gross, cruddy stuffed animals on his stethoscope and he waved them in my infant's face. Third, he pulled that ear/nose/eyes instrument right out of his coat and used it on my kid. No disposable tips, just the instrument itself, which I'm sure came right out of the last kid's ears and went into mine. Before I could even ask about it, he had it in there. Fourth, when the nurse came to administer vaccines, she wore no gloves, she did not wash her hands, and she did not even look at that one bottle of sanitizer.

The ONLY reason I didn't walk out of the office as soon as I walked in is that my kid was way overdue for some vaccines due to a recent move. I am seriously considering referring this place to the board of health and medicine, because I am certain there are more than a few issues.

Overall, the pediatrician we saw probably knows his stuff. The office itself is just in dismal shape. I left there knowing that my entire family is going to be sick in the next couple of days, and that's not something I care to pay for.

I looked on this website for reviews, and I saw that they are mixed. I do not know why there are any positive reviews on here. Maybe they are meant for other locations, since they all feature different doctors and offices. My review is for the COLLEGE PARK OFFICE ON GREENBELT RD. It is timely as of SEPTEMBER 2012.

I brought my son to this office from the time he was 1 until he was f5. It wasn't until I went to another office that I realized how sub par this office was. My other office was like going to a doctor in Hollywood compared to this office. The office itself is old and cramped. The well rooms and sick waiting rooms are hugely open to one another and you have to walk thorough one to get to the other. The staff is accommodating, at best. There are FAR too many patients booked at one time as wait times are LONG and the waiting room is packed. It is hot. I have no problem with most of the doctors, however, Dr. Berkowitz was a horrible disappointment. One evening, my son and I were eating across the street. He started coughing violently and could not stop. I ran across the street and knocked on the door to the office. (It was 5 minutes after they were to close.) I told Dr. Berkowitz that my son was in the car and I suspected he was having an asthma attack. I asked if he could come to the car (parked 5 feet away) and listen to him to let me know if it was something I needed to bring him to the ER for. He said no. I asked if I could carry my son to the door and have him listen to him for just 2 seconds and tell me if he needed emergency treatment. He again said it was against office policy. As this was my first experience with an Asthma attack I had to decide on my own what to do even though I was speaking to my doctor! I ended up bringing my child to the ER where he was given 3 nebulizer treatments because his oxygen levels were so bad. Since this time I have been to two other doctor's offices and have been thrilled with their exceptional care, friendly staff, clean environment and short wait times. Do yourself a favor and find another office! There are lots of choices close by that are wonderful.

Great practice. My children have been patients for a while. The physicians are great and I trust them with the medical care they provide. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Always able to get a same day appointment for sick and can generally get the day and time I want for other schedulued visits. I would highly recommend this group to my friends and family. Many of them bring their children here too!

worst office ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time I call their office first no one picks up the phone and by chance if some one answers the call they put you on hold for at least 15-20 minutes and then they disconnect. the receptionists are so rude!! I can't believe that people in a pediatrician's office can behave like that!!!!!!!!!!!!
and their lunch is usually from 11:30am to 1:15 pm. and sometimes they give you appointment for 12pm and you go there and the office is closed!

The physicians of this practice has been seeing my children for the past 10 years. I am very pleased with the entire staff. The front desk has been helpful and pleasant even when I have had an insurance problem. I like the fact that I can make a same day appointment if my child is sick. Jackie, who has been there a long time is always pleasant and most helpful with any concern I may have. She goes the extra mile to fit me in for appointments. Overall, I find this practice to be good in providing care for my child.

I have learnt how to ignore and go pass those nasty receptionists with their abrasive personalities. Their turnover rate is high and they are just like rolling stones gathering no moss who don't care about establishing relationships with us patients who make their financial lives easier. The doctors need to refine their interview skills and hire older, more seasoned, caring and pleasant individuals and leave those nasty children alone because they are truly some nasty people. Jan has been there fro a long time and she is nice after you establish a relationship with her. That problem is quite a pervasive one and I do wonder if it has something to do with the salary that they earn.As far as the doctors are concerned, there are three of them that I really like and Dr. Glaser (the small framed doctor) is my favorite. In 13 years I have gotten 1 bad diagnosis but I went back the next day and Dr. Berkowitz found the what the true issue was. I call that a benefit of having more than one doctor because they are not God and like everyone else they do make mistakes. I like the fact that I can always get an appointment the very same day if I call early enough, I have been very pleased with the response when you make an after-hour call. An on-call doctor will call you back and you will be called very early the next day to see how the child has progressed. The Laurel office has more pleasant employees and I am making a change to than office.

I have been using Children's Pediatricians for my daughter for a few years now. I was originally recommended to see Dr. Berkowitz but wanted to explore all 5 to see which I was most comfortable with. I thought I found one until he misdiagnosed my daughter's breathing problem. Although I expressed a concern about my daughter's breathing, he told me that I had nothing to worry about then sent her home. He in turns, gives my daughter's school information saying she has a mild form of asthma. When I called him and asked why we hadn't informed me of this finding he got defensive and said he did (although no one else in the room heard it) but again told me there was no precautions that I needed to take. It was only about 2 weeks later when my daughter and I spend a night in the hospital due to an asthma attack!! The nurses and doctors thought I was crazy because she didn't have the proper medication for her asthma. I never spoke with that doctor again. I began searching for another doctor's office when I found solace in another one of the doctors there and decided to stay. He is absolutely wonderful! He is very knowledgeable, shows a genuine concern for her (i.e. will call to check up on her when she is sick), and quite friendly.

The administrative staff was another reason why I had begun to look for another doctor's office a year ago. They are the worst! Besides the fact their phone system sucks and you have to wait 10-15 minutes before your call can be answered, once you get one on the line they are generally rude. I think over the past few months they have gotten a new system and it has gotten a little better.

I trust the doctors. That should really be enough (I work with a lot and although I am not a perfect judge, I think I'm pretty good). The short guy and the black woman seem not only very competent but have a great bedside manner as well (I can't be positive on their names). Some of the MDs have 'prescribing to please the parent'/'reflexive prescribing' issues that pervade all peds offices (e.g. albuterol for a child who is breathing fine but comes in with complaint of cough). Late night calls have been returned promptly with excellent direction and helpfulness. Generally, they've been on top of things.

The admin staff and phone system are another matter. The phone system is maddening (sometimes you get hold music, sometimes it sounds like you got dropped, sometimes you do get dropped). Add to that the fact that it can take upwards of 10 minutes to simply answer/acknowledge your call and you have a very frustrated parent. The admin staff is hit or miss, sometimes they are simply competent, other times borderline nasty. The office manager has been gracious with the two complaints I have made. I should note that some phone changes have just been made (easier to get your call answered). Also, if you call in the afternoon, things are much more smooth.

The doctors are great but the front desk staff is horrible. I have a really hard time getting through when calling for an appointment. They don't even pick up the line and ask you to please hold, they just click you over to hold. You're often on hold for long periods of time or it's busy all the time. I just hate to see what would happen if it was an emergency and I needed to talk to the doctor.

Great doctors but they may lose my kids if they don't make serious changes to the admin staff.

This has been the worse experience with the doctor I have ever experienced. With have only been going to this office since April We've been there about 6+ times for the first visit of the day and they haven never taken us on time. We are consistently waiting to see the doctor atleast 45 minutes to an hour. They have no consideration for anyone's schedule. The staff is slow and is very rude. I agree with the prior reviews I have read. The staff is nasty (this includes the nurses too). I did like the doctors but the lack of consideration for my time and the inability to get them on the phone or get into the appointment in a timely manner is forcing us to leave. Stay away from this office.

I find that this practice provides high quality care and all of the physicians extremely competent and involved. I do see different ones unless I request a specific doctor. The administrative staff has gone out of their way several times to help me with various problems. They might not be gushy nice but they are pleasant, helpful and efficient. Two of my three children are old enough now to switch to GP although my youngest still sees these doctors. I have never had a doubt regarding the quality of care they've received.

If this is the same group of pediatricians which were formerly called "Berkowitz & Associates", they are horrible. All but one pediatrican in this group consistently misdiagnosed my children. My daughter had pneumonia and was sent home with cough syrup (after having 3 prior weekly visits).

I now take my children to Primary Pediatrics and am extremely pleased with that particular group of doctors.

I trust the doctors with there knowlege however I never see the same doctor. Even for reoccurring problems. This is frustrating when I get 4 differrent people suggesting I do 4 different things. But all in all I trust their medical advice.

HOWEVER, I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING TO SWITCH DOCTORS FOR MY SON DUE TO THE ADMIN STAFF AND NURSES! THEY ARE RUDE UNHELPFUL AND COLD. tHEY DON'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE MY 2 YEAR OLD FEEL COMFORTABLE. THEY DON'T TALK TO HIM, SMILE AT HIM, AND IF THE STICKER BASKET IS EMPTY WHEN WE COME OUT FROM SEEING THE DOC, THEY ACT LIKE I'M BEING A HUGE ANNOYANCE TO THEM BY ASKING FOR THE STICKER THAT MY SON EXPECTS TO GET FOR BEING SO GOOD. tHEY ROLL THEIR EYES AT ME CONSTANTLY AND I REALLY DON'T THINK ANY OF THEM SHOULD BE IN THE BUSINESS OF CHILD PEDIATRICS.

It's difficult enough when your child is sick, but to have to deal with administrative staff that are so harsh, abrasive and rude is horrible. Doctors seemed nice enough but the admin staff was horrible the 4 times I needed to interact with them. I stopped going back.

This place is very close to my place and really depondable. the doctors are always nice and friendly. the front desk people are excellent in service as well as they have unused coupon basket at the counter which might be useful for many of the parents. The waiting time would be less in early mornings as to my experience...

This place has five doctors team and they are very knowledgeble. They schedule us according to our flexibility and really concerned about all our queries. they take the time to respond in phone if we call them and are open six days a week. this is one of the biggest advantage of parents is it not. they are open on saturdays as well!

Children's Pediatricians and Associates are highly recommended:
They've got 5 qualified and friendly doctors. They're usually patient with any doubts you may have about your child's health.
The office staff is friendly too, they try their best to accommodate any scheduling requests you have.
There's a separate well child and sick child room.
Wait time, in my experience, has been around 15 mins past my actual scheduled appointment.

PROS: Very friendly and knowledgeable doctors and office staff

Children's Pediatricians and Associates are highly recommended:
They've got 5 qualified and friendly doctors. They're usually patient with any doubts you may have about your child's health.
The office staff is friendly too, they try their best to accommodate any scheduling requests you have.
There's a separate well child and sick child room.
Wait time, in my experience, has been around 15 mins past my actual scheduled appointment.

PROS: Very friendly and knowledgeable doctors and office staff
