I go to the Clybourn Costco because Lu is there. She is a ray of sunshine every time I see her. She is the definition of customer service. She always has a kind word and a big smile.I hope no other business steals her away.

No matter what time or day of the week I go to this Costco there always seems to be a traffic nightmare in the parking lot. When you are buying in bulk you don't want to have to fight for parking or walk miles to your car with an awkward overflowing cart. The same problem goes for the lines in this store. Unfortunately, the cashiers are really slow or they just can't keep up with the number of customers at this location because there is always an unbearable wait.
I was disappointed that an item I recently saw wasn't there when I went back just four days later. If you have a Costco membership, a trip to the Niles location is worth it because they are better stocked and not nearly as chaotic with the crowd problem.

I find lots of deals at Costco - toilet paper and paper towels are better in the Kirklands (Costco's brand) versions than "name brand" in some cases! We have started buying fresh meats there too when we entertain and it's always been wonderful. I also buy a lot of gifts (books, children's clothes) there. We usually go once a month and earn the cost of the card in savings within two or three months.

Costco has everything - from good quality meats, to delicious baked goods, wine, beer and even grills, swingsets, Televisions, DVD players, and clothing. Best Prices for Diapers and Formula. Just be prepared to buy in bulk.

Recently, I can't seem to find some of my favorite items at this Costco location. Rumor has it that they won't be carrying Pampers any longer. And I can never find the "costco size" jar of capers anymore. Also, some fruits and vegetables have gone bad after just a few days in the fridge, and when you're buying in bulk, you hope stuff can last long enough for you to enjoy the quantity. Don't know if it's a regional thing or not, but this Costco in particular hasn't seemed all that great.
PROS: convenient location, good parking
CONS: dropping some popular items

If you haven't been to Costco yet you should check it out. A paid membership is required but it's well worth it over the course of a year. Shopping at Costco is an experience. There is clothing, books, electronics, furniture, coffee, a bakery, fresh produce, household items, and more. They have great flowers: a bunch of 24 roses sells for $14 and come in many amazing colors. There are usually lots of free food samples, especially on weekends and before big holidays. The cafe offers great deals on pizza.
