.

I have 2 children who currently attend the Chemeketa Child Develpment Preschool program and LOVE it. I put my in utero baby on the waiting list per a recommendation from another mom whose 2 girls went through the program! The CDC is actually a lab school for the students at Chemeketa in the Early Childhood Development Program. You can tell the teachers there absolutely LOVE their job and are wonderful with the children, student teachers and parents. Some have taught there for 20-30 years! Because of the student teachers being there as well, the child/teacher ratio is very good. The feeling at the school is that we are one big family. There are even tears (from both parents and teachers) at the end of the year when we say goodbye to the kindergartners who will head off to 1st grade in the fall. Children who have moved on often come back to visit whenever the opportuntiy arises to spend a day at the school where they have such wonderful memories.
