I LOVE this office! We travel from Rockwall with our 2 kids and the trip is well worth it. The office is very nice and clean, there is NEVER a long wait, (we're usually in and out in well under 30 minutes) and most importantly, Dr. Frank believes in informing parents but allowing them to make decisions concerning their child's health, vaccinations, etc. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Mehendale seemed very nice and easy to talk to but I had an absolutely horrible experience with one of the nurses. She was extremely unprofessional and even though I like the doctor, calling in with a general question and getting the response and tone of voice that I did is unacceptable. My son is in excruciating pain with the procedure that was done and I asked plainly how long will this last and how do I care for him until it subsides. The response I received was "Do whatever Dr. Mehendale told you to do" and "I'm not sure how long it will last and I'm not sure if anyone knows".

1. I was not told how to care for him which was the reason for my call.
2. How in the world do you do a procedure on someone and not atleast know a round about number of days/weeks of how long the discomfort will last?? Should I not be concerned if a certain number of days go by and my son is still in pain??

I'm absolotulely floored by my conversation with this nurse and will not be visiting the office again.

I have been to Dr. Frank and occasionally Dr. Menhendale since 1997. My children do not have any chronic health concerns and we feel we are always listened to. Dr. Frank is professional, thorough and a great communicator.

We have used Dr. Mehendale with both of our children since birth. They are now ages 20 months and 3 years respectively.

She is incredible and we adore her. However, the office staff is so difficult and the practices established by the office so difficult to work around that we are now leaving for another practice.

Due to how highly we respected and valued Dr Mehendale, we continued to drive half an hour to take our children to her. However, she does not work Mondays and Fridays and that makes it more difficult to get in and see anyone on these days.

I am done with trying to make it work at Willow Bend Pediatrics. The office staff needs to get their act together because the doctors will continue to lose patients due to these kinds of practices, if they don't.

I have 2 children and both are seen at Willow Bend Pediatrics. My oldest child has been a patient there for nearly 7 years. While I have never had problems with Dr. Franks, I do not prefer him. There are three other doctors in the practice--all women. We see Dr. Susan Sickler and Dr. Kimberly Mehendele. They are both wonderful. They listen carefully, they respond carefully and thoughtfully, they take the time to explain things and they are very cautious and pro-active. They are also not antibiotic happy, which I like. They will give antibiotics if cultures etc. warrant them, but they are not writing you a prescription every time your child has a sniffle. They are both very very good, and we can typically get in to see either one or the other on any given day. I am a very cautious, very particular mother and I would recommend either of them without hesitation.

Dr. Mehendale and her associates do a great job. The office is very clean, the staff is mostly pleasant (with the exception of one check-out person). I can always get a sick child a same day appointment. The after-hours call backs are fast and from a doctor.

Dr. Mehendale, her associates, and the support staff are all wonderful! Very friendly and wecloming atmostphere, no long wait times, very responsive to phone calls, and no insurance or payment hassles. Dr. M has been very willing to listen to and accomodate our preferences with regard to our child's healthcare. Her bright and caring demeanor is very comforting to us as first-time parents.

I changed pediatricians because of poor service at my previous Dr Office. Dr Frank at Willow Bend Pediatrics was wonderful. He paid attention to our concerns and the staff was friendly with me and my daughter. The facilities were very nice and modern. I was happy with my initial visit. I will be keeping this Dr for some time.

After 3 visits in a one week period we became concerned that Dr Frank was mistaken about the seriousness of our 2-year old's condition. We took our daughter, now limp and unresponsive, down to Childrens Medical Center. They said if we had waited just 2 more days, she would have lost her lung. I met another woman today who also had a bad experience with Dr Frank that sent her 2-year old daughter to the hospital as well. He had prescribed an adult medication to her.

I love Dr. Frank and all of the doctors and staff at Willow Bend Pediactrics. They are friendly and listen to parents concerns carefully. We never have a wait whether it is a well visit or an illness. We love the new location. Great parking and two separate waiting rooms, one for the healthy and one for the sick. I highly recommend this office!

PROS: Close to Plano Presbyterian Hospital with out the parking problems!
CONS:
