I abosolutely love this store. I am fairly new to Maryland and Baltimore and this store is the only store I have found so far that has really pretty, feminine one of a kind clothing that I think almost anyone can wear if matched up with some thing nice you already have in your closet. I think it is expensive only because I am a bargain shopper too, The catch is I have bought several pieces from this store and I have worn them repeatedly. They have held up so I know I got my money;s worth. I always get compliments on the pieces when I wear them. I love Cloud 9.
Cloud 9 gets 4 stars from me. Not 5 because I haven't been around the world. :) The clothes are beautiful. I wouldn't "classify" them as any particular syle, just nice and very well made. I'm 30 yrs old and I'm a contemporary dresser, but I like to stay "stylish" and I think most of the clothing can be dressed up or down. The styles are original and the prices are a good fit for the quality. The clearance racks are always full of goodies which is also a plus!
now, im only thirteen, and i already love this store. its fantastic to say the least. a little pricey, but hey, who doesnt like a good splurge every now and then? it has really cute, unique stuff, and i thought that the worker was nice and i really couldnt choose what to buy! overall? great shopping experiance!
Cloud 9 seems a little out of place in Baltimore - it's a larger city shopping experience. The selection is varied and fashionable and is updated regularly. The prices are not unreasonable, though high enough that I shop there just for the occasional splurge (then again, I tend to be a bargain shopper in general).
This place is mostly just another over-priced boutique. The sales are steep, but usually only knock the prices down to what they should have been anyway. The staff is usually pretty snobby or totally disinterested in thier job. The clothes are ok, not too well made but not poorly made either. Occasionally you'll find a good deal or a great piece of clothing, but I never go out of my way to go here.
I'd peg the target age for this women's clothing store at about 20. Clothes are sometimes funky, sometimes a little too kiddie, and accessories tend towards the glittery/studded. Sales often offer great deals, though, so it's worth stopping in here on a walk down Hampden's Avenue.
Cloud 9, recognizeable by its ostensibly large blue sign, is situated on the Eastern end of Hampden's "The Avenue." Customers should base their tastes on the display manekins, as these are usually the best looking pieces in the store. The one thing that separates Cloud 9 from its competition in neo-hippie attire are the sales. Sale racks knock off huge chunks, ranging from 20% to 75% off of retail.
