I'm guessing "Jan G." works for Parks or Meadowbook. My assessment of the quality is quite a bit lower than Jan's...

My daughter has attended for more than 2 years (07-09), including summers ONLY because I needed child care for my job, but wasn't able to afford better care.

Meadowbook's child care is essentially babysitting. Little or no preparation appears to put into activities/events; care workers are often seen texting on their phone, congregating outside w/NON-employee teenaged friends or absorbed in gossip sessions while ignoring the kids.

Safety appears to be nearly non-existent: I won't go into detail because I fear it will embolden child predators.

Once I was finally able to afford better care I went to the YMCA and have been HUGELY pleased in comparison to Meadowbrook

The Seattle Parks department offers child care programs at many of its' community centers, but Meadowbrook has to be
the best.
This is an opportunity for kids to get together to learn a little
of everything, from cultural diversity to nutrtion to environmental awareness.
The money benefits the program and facilities, and fees
are very reasonable compared to the 'national chain' type daycares.
For that cost, it is amazing at how many activities are packed into your childs' out of school experience.
Children enjoy field trips, camping, swimming, sports, arts & crafts, even an end of summer BBQ!
Typical summer in Seattle blues (the reality of rain) are eased, as the complex features an indoor pool!
The program even benefits those with an eye on the future,
as kids entering the 7th grade can sign up to volunteer ,
in my own daughters' case, it's less a matter of looking good on college apps, than it is giving back to a program that means so much to the community it serves.

PROS: Enriching experience, wonderful value! COMMUNITY Based.
CONS: Programs fill up VERY fast.
