So I went to numerous gyms before I found this place. I think it is such a great place with great people. It's not the flashy gym that makes you feel intimidated when you walk in, but a real iron gym. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to Bob and Loprinzi's Gym. There are plenty of good folks with great vibes, which is the key to a good workout. Go there in the morning and meet Dave. Now that is genuine character that you could only find at a place like this. Once again....Salute!

Loprinzi's is the place to go to work out with other like-minded folks who don't care about all the glitz and glamor found at other gyms and in particular, those national clubs that care more about your money and not you as a person.
I have worked out at the other gyms over the years and not one of them equals Loprinzi's when it come to cost, service, and long-term effectiveness.
It's not a place to go for "show" and to be "seen," it's a place to accomplish goals and to enjoy the experience with other folks doing the same. If its good enough for Governor Jessie Ventura, back in the day when he was a Portland wrestler, you know its a great no-frills place!
Bob Hill has continued the Loprinzi traditions and is a terrific trainer, and his training fee is the best in the industry $0.00, can't beat that price anywhere else.

Loprinzis offers the best workout facility in Portland. The ambiance is awesome in Loprinzis. The equipment is old, but in awesome condition, and runs perfectly. Bob Hill, the owner, has more than enough free weights, but also has an excellent cardio section with top quality tread mills and elypticals. I'm a world class powerlifter with a world record under my belt, and I've worked out at all the top rated clubs in Portland, and my opinion is the Loprinzis is the best in Portland. Just a side note, Bob also offers quality instruction for those that ask for it free of charge. Bob is an accomplished powerlifter as well as a marathon runner. You can't ask for more than that.
PROS: Inexpensive, tons of equipment, awesome atmosphere
CONS: limited parking
