Fountaindale Ice Cream started a number of years ago as a little shack on the the side of the then-Exxon. They tore that down and expanded, and it's really nice now, including a large convenience store and restrooms. However, I believe they changed management in the last year. The ice cream menu has changed slighty, and the prices have significantly increased. It used to be a real bargain. You could get a child's ice cream cone for 85 cents. The serving sizes are quite large -- perhaps larger than they need to be, and now their prices are more in line with everyone else -- no great deal. The ice cream is still very good -- we always get the soft-serve. I'm not a fan of the flavor-burst thing, but I notice when I go in about half the time they have a sign saying it is broken. They employ a lot of teenagers, so the staff turns over all the time, but they are always nice and courteous.
