Unbelievably RUDE employees! My husband and I are both military and we're stationed at Hurlburt Field, so when my family decided to come visit, we thought of the Gulfarium. We enjoyed the shows and the animals, but at the end of the day we decided to get an ice cream cone to finish it off and while we were standing in line waiting on our order to be filled, one of the employees yelled at me and all the kids that were standing there with me to get out of the park because they were closing. Mind you that we are a multi-racial military family across the board and our five children were some of the best behaved kids in the park. The employee waved her hands at us and said "Let's go, peace out!" I was appalled and I did not like my family being stereotyped as "hood rats!" I complained to the manager and vowed never to bring any of my family or friends to the attraction again. I feel so terrible for the animals if they are treated the way that employee treated guests!

The GULFARIUM is the last of the great oceanariums that sprung up in the 50's. The only other one left is the Miami SeaQuarium. To have this marine attraction still with us is wonderful! I am nostalgic. And I get emotional visiting these older attractions over the new "high tech" theme parks. Greg Seibenaler has done a great job carrying on his dad's legacy. I strongly feel the GULFARIUM should be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Greg May, Orlando SHOULD BE PLACED 3ersa

Way over priced! My children were so upset when they didn't get to see the big fish tank. I was told to bad because there were other fish tanks they could see. The other fish tanks they were talking about 2 had nothing in them and one was being cleaned all were 5 feet off the ground. So I had to hold a sleeping 7 month old and a 35 lbs 2 year old! Not only were my kids crying my back was KILLING me! I asked for a partial refund and I was told I was expecting to much and the Manager hung up on me!!!! So $56, two upset kids and sore back do not make for a fun afternoon!!!! We come to Destin every year for the EOD Memorial but will NEVER return to the Gulfarium.

If you do go, bring your nose plugs for the bird 'exhibit' I almost threw up when I went in. My daughter said, "let's go this stinks" all while holding her nose!

I read the other reviews that said great for the money, we are a Military family of 5 and I found it hard to be happy with spending $56 for what we got! They do offer a military discount of $1.

I have been going to the Gulfarium for about ten years. I speak most of the shows myself. My children still like to go, but they don't watch the shows anymore. I think they know them word for word two. The kids just like to look at the animals. They really like to watch when someone is in the tank cleaning. We love the animals, but the gulfarium is either going to step it up or start loosing buisness. I have seen dolphins in one pool that is way too small. I assume they were there for a special reason. The last pool is way too small. I used to think that the dolphins that did that show had another pool that they lived in. I asked the trainer once. He said no. It broke my heart to think of those two big dolphins. I also went there once and the had this military netting over the sting ray pool. It was tacky, but my kids noticed that the sting rays seemed to be a lot more pink than normal. We assumed that they were getting sun burn and the net was for some protection. It seemed a bit shady to me. With the cost of admissions and the price of the food and gifts, we don't go much anymore.

The gulfarium is great, the animals are awesome. Initially you expect a larger place but it isn't. It is reasonable for what they offer. The kids love the shows. Store is pricey but most are.

We really love going here on the weekends when everyone is home. They have many animals to see and sometimes touch. We love watching the dolphins. It is somewhat expensive, but it's so much fun you kind of tend to forget about how much you paid.

Me and my family have been to the Gulfarium many times, and have always enjoyed it. They have a very impressive dolphin show, with many different tricks. The dolphin tank is also see through on the lower levels. The seal show is very awesome too. Admission is a very price, but the gift shop is kinda pricey.

        PROS: Really Fun
        CONS: Gift Shop is Pricey

Go get wet with the dolphins and see the sea lions strut their stuff at the Gulfarium. It's a great place for kids of any age and adults as well. Go feel a horshoe crab in the "hands on" area of the park, watch the sharks swim and check out their huge sea turtle. The gift shop is also a great place to find the perfect suvenier for anyone.
