4 Stars: great japanese food (by Cherilyn A.)

Great japanese food that specializes in their ramen. The place is kind of small, but the service is really good. The chicken katsudon is good too. This place is open late, so it can be a better & healthier alternative to mexican food after a night.of drinking.

4 Stars: Yummy Ramen! (by Jenna K.)

I love the miso ramen. It is the best! This place has some of the best udon and soups. I like going here late with friends for some good Japanese soup.

4 Stars: Tajima Restaurant #2 (by Tyler L.)

Ever just want to chow down on a bowl of udon? Or maybe just relax after work with some co-workers while eating some chicken karaage? Well if you have then Tajima #2 is the place to be. Located off Mercury Street in San Diego it is a nice little Japanese restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and good service. They cater to large or small parties but it's based off a wait list system where you sign in with the number of people you have. I've gone with groups of three others and also once with fifteen others. Both times we ordered the chicken karaage. Their servings are appetizer like and the prices range depending on what you want. The sushi is pretty good, I'd recommend the salmon sashimi. If you go with a big party I'd try the shobu shobu, or split it with another person as it will make a great dinner for two. They also have Kirin on draft, something most Japanese restaurants don't carry. Overall I'd rate it four stars, just make sure to get there early as it tends to fill up quickly.
