I have never had a bad meal here. Love the cabbage rolls, German pancakes, pretzels, fondue and shepard's pie. They can get really busy on weekend nights so it's best to show up early or late.

The first time I went to Gustav's it was very hectic. I found out if you go a little later-after 7:00 it get a little better. The food is good, the service is great, but they just don't have any German bread, that was disappointing.

When this Gustav's first opened it was nothing short of chaotic to go there. They were disorganized, not overly friendly and sometimes seemed too busy to help you. It's been a couple of years now and they've done a complete turn-around. The staff is extremely friendly, they seem very organized and the food is better every time I go there (the food has always been excellent). I generally eat at the bar because you don't have to wait to be seated. The bartenders are personable and entertaining to watch.
I can't say enough about how well the management has worked on making this a first-class restaurant.
