Kids In Action is the worst it can get. My son attended this school and all Connie (the Owner) gives are excuses. Her staff are no professional, and she isn't either. While my son attended Kids In Action, he always came home with knots on his head and scratches from being left unattended on the playground. When I picked him up, teachers would inform me that my son had hit someone, but never would report what was done to him. Also, my son was potty trained but it seemed as if the staff was too lazy to take him to the bathroom because instead, on numerous occasions when I picked him up he would had poop dried to his butt (like it sat on him for a while) and many bags of wet clothes. When I asked Connie, she simply replied, "Well he's just not ready to be potty trained." As a parent, I know he was because at home he was fine, and after pulling him out of that school and enrolling him into another he wasn't having any accidents. Also, Connie states that it's a learning program, but there is nothing academic about the place, it's just daycare and free play all day. Waste of Money!

In 7 weeks, my son came home severely sun burned for 3 weeks straight (even after a doctors note), to which the GM, CONNIE, simply said: "well kids get sun burned in california, and with summer that's something we're going to have to get used to. It's not like he's going to get cancer or anything"
My son threw up while on the clock at day care, and Connie THREATENED to send us a bill for carpet cleaning, called my wife a liar and claimed my wife "ran out" and said my son threw up while she was holding him. BS! what mother would EVER leave her son throwing up and run out!! When I finally got called an hour later, and I came and picked up my son (2 hours after being dropped of for breakfast at KIA), and my son was acting just fine. We got in the car and he sucked down a bag of goldfish. I didnt find out until dinner, when I opened his lunch bag, that Kids in Action NEVER FED MY SON, and never told me they didnt feed him! Their policy states every kid dropped of before 7:30am WILL BE FED. I didnt pick up my son until after 930am. When I called Connie and asked why my son wasnt fed and why i wasnt told about it, her response was: "Well you should just know not to feed a kid for 4-5 hours after he throws up". In 7 weeks, Connie has refused to accept responsibility for hurting my kid at every turn! How would i know my kid was being starved? How would I know KIA didnt do what their policy states unless they tell me?! My son wasnt sick! he had an oral antibiotic on his way to KIA, and was suppose to be fed when he got there. He wasnt and so the antibiotic bounced and came back up. If they ATTEMPTED to feed my son, he would have eaten - he ate for me as soon as he got in the car. The next day CONNIE handed me a flier on the meds i was giving logan and said "Here you need to know what you're giving your kid". EXCUSE ME! like i didnt talk to his doctor when it was prescribed!? I didnt read the label?! Did she just call me a bad parent?!
Less than a week later I pick up my son, who has been potty training for a month and we paid extra for potty training with KIA...i get home and smell he needs a diaper change. As soon as i walk in the door i open his diaper to find it filled front to back, rim to rim with diarrhea DRIED to his skin. My son screamed in pain for over an hour while he soaked his blaring red behind and crotch in the tub. I called CONNIE at KIA, and made her listen to my son scream and asked why... Her response: "well he just went outside at 330 so it must have just happened. We change the kids every three hours". Once again, CONNIE not accepting responsibility for hurting my son. Problem 1) Poop doesnt dry to the skin in 30 mins. Problem 2) KIA handbook says every child is cared for individually. Problem 3) KIA handbook says REGULAR DIAPER CHANGES. Im sorry, as a parent "regular" means AS NEEDED, not on some set schedule that every kid as to adjust their bowel movements to. Even still, three hours?!?! what if he peed or pooped right after you're scheduled change? He has to sit in it for another three hours till your staff gets around to the next change? And I paid them extra to potty train my son, why are they waiting 3 hours to check his diaper???

There is NO individual care here. every child is on the same schedule and their little bodies all better fit into the KIA schedule or too bad. And, if CONNIE doesn't like you, other parents WILL here about you. I have walked through that office many times and heard Connie talking poorly about other parents and kids!!!! She may smile at you when you came in, but she will talk about you as soon as you leave.

I pulled my son out the day after finding that diaper. I walked in, wrote them a letter to cancel the "contract" DUE TO BREACH OF CONTRACT AND NEGLIGENCE, and demanded a refund for the last week of unused care that was paid for at registration. CONNIE laughed at me at rolled her eyes and said "GOOD LUCK, that's up to the owner". I demanded the name of the owner and contact information, and she refused to give me a name. CONNIE handed me a business card with the KIA office phone and no name.

The teachers at KIA may be capable and polite with the children. But as a General Manager, CONNIE is the most unprofessional rude and self indulgent woman I have ever met. I have been a general manager and owner of my own business for 8 years and I would NEVER treat a customer, even a difficult one, the way Connie has treated my wife, son and I. CONNIE sets the example for her entire staff for what acceptable behavior is, and this is scary!! CONNIE seriously went on for ten minutes about how my wife was a liar and bad mom for "running out" when her son threw up. What kind of general manager bad mouths a parent to their spouse like that?!?!?
The sate is now investigating KIA, and a law suite for a full refund based on neglicence and breach of contract. 7 We
