everything about easy street records is awesome. they staff is all super nice and knows just about everythin, for reals. they have a great selection (especially used stuf and vinyl) and really good prices. they even have a big 99cents section that does (if you look hard enough) has good stuff in it.
they also have free shows every once in a while...definately go.
and, my favorite part...they have a frequent buyer card, so when you buy 15 new cds (or 30 used) you get a free cd. i filled up 3 or those cards so far.

Easy Street is what record stores are trying to become. It's the cool older brother to independent places all around Seattle. They have free concerts here with the top indie artists (I saw Rilo Kiley and The Presidents of The United States of America--okay so they're not indie but they're good). The used CDs range from classical to Hip Hop to Jazz to mainstream pop, and the selection just keeps going.

Easy Street is one of the better music stores out there. They have almost every single new cd available and they also have a used cd and a vinyl selection. What makes this place stand out is that it has in-store concerts every once in a while. They invite a band (doesnt have to be local) and they play on their mini stage inside of the store! This way you get to meet the band afterwards and get the autograph!

How cool is seeing a band at a record store? Pretty cool if you ask me. These guys cater to the local scene and have a really good selection. They also have extremely knowledgable staff. Local CD stores are the way to go, the big chains cater to folks looking to buy the latest disposable album, these places help you find GOOD music.

The Easy Street location that's at the south base of Queen Anne Hill is bigger than their West Seattle location. They have a good selection of used records, especially, as well as new and used CD's. I've also seen in-store shows put on in the show, where they actually had a real stage set up at one end of the store.
