Silvio is a great host and sets the warm and inviting tone. The food is good, the coffee is hot, and it's fun to hang out there, especially at breakfast time. If you want to make a change from the menu it's no problem. Pleasant service.

Pros: good food, caring service, informal neighborhood atmosphere

Patrick's Roadhouse holds some kind of sporadic appeal for my husband. We tried it a few years ago, but when he wanted to try it again, all I could remember was that the the dining area is narrow--which meant the food was not memorable.

Today my boyfriend and I went to Patrick's Roadhouse for the first time, here were a few highlights to summarize our experience:
* We were seated outside (away from everyone) and had to rush inside to escape the most uncomfortable chairs ever and the large swarm of bees that began advacing toward us about 15 to 20 minutes after being outside.
* The bathroom was clogged and the toilet was leaking.
* My Omelette tasted like plastic and the swiss cheese like rubber.
* The toast was stale.
* The hashbrowns were made of another rubbery substance.
* My boyfriends burger came solo, no fries, nothing and when he requested a side order of fries we were told they "were all out"
* They must have found a secret stash of fries for all of the surrounding guests that had arrived and ordered AFTER us
* Both surrounding tables were brought multiple baskets of fresh french fries.
* We noticed the owner was coming around greeting all the guests around us, guess where he forgot to stop? Yea, at our table. Not even a nod or a hello, how are you... We were 2 feet away yet DID NOT EXIST!
* I saw some guests come in and since all of the tables were occupied they were sat at a large table with cushioned seats and given a board game to keep them entertained while waiting.

I am not making any assumptions but what a coincidence that out of all of the other guests none looked to be hispanic, except us and all seemed to have been served well, EXCEPT US. The couple at the table across us even offered us some of their fries.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AND EVERYONE I KNOW WILL BE INFORMED OF THE DISAPPOINTING SERVICE WE RECEIVED.

SORRY FOOD NETWORK, YOU MAY HAVE BEEN RIGHT BUT LOOKS LIKE THIS PLACE DOESN'T WELCOME PEOPLE OF ALL ETHNICITIES.

I have been coming to Patrick's Roadhouse for 6 years and it's my 2nd home. The employees are my 2nd family and the breakfast is the best in southern California. Especially the Governator special. The coffee is the richest I've ever had,

Patrick's is a must for all of our out-of-town visitors. We love it, and they do, too. The breakfasts are superb (our favorite) and lunches are delicious -- often named for the Hollywood stars who frequent this restaurant. Eclectic, fun decor.

Had breakfast after seeing the restaurant on the Diners and Dives (or something like that) and it was fantastic!

Had an Alison scramble, one of the best breakfasts I have had in my 48 years.

After waiting in line to get into this place for 30mins, we finally were seated to see about 15 empty tables. So not off to a good start. It took another 20 mins to place our order, which they messed up. How do you mess up an omlette? I

I Love to have breakfast at Patrick's Roadhouse. It has the charm of an English tavern in the country side, yet right off PCH in the Santa Monica Canyon. ALL the food is excellent, my favorite is the mozerella omlette with sun dried

Patrick's is quaint, cozy and ideal for a lazy late-morning meal. Service is friendly and the place is usually packed with joggers and couples toting newspapers. Eggs are good, but pancake dishes and specials are usually more exciting.
