Inland Valley hospital is the worse hospital ever! Don't go there if yiou don't have to. I was there for 8 days last July and the care I received was very substandard. In the 8 days I could not even take a shower for the whole time because of the "short staffing". I was ambulatory the whole time so I don't know why I was not allowed to shower. Not allowing patients to shower for 8 days is contrary to basic hygiene. My meds were always late in coming. I was supposed to get some meds every four hours but many times it was 6 to 7 hours inbetween. Most of the time I had to keep reminding them to bring them. Here is the best part - I am a diabetic and they would do finger sticks every 4 hours to test the glucose level in my blood. But everytime they brought me food it was sugar laden!!! I do not have to take insulin when I am at home but in the hospital they had to given me insulin injections because the food they were giving me was loaded with sugar. They gave me popsicles, cranberry juice, all heavily sweetened with sugar. Each time, they brought food, I remined them that I was a diabetic and they knew that, it didn't matter. That's all they kept bringing me. I had to keep having insulin shots because the food was raising my sugar level. After 4 days I figured out that I needed to stop eating the food they were bringing me. So I couldn't eat for the next 4 days. This is more than neglient!! Don't go there and don't let your loved ones go there. Very substandard care!! BEWARE!!

on or about march 7th 2008 at11pm a man broke into our home and attacted me and my disabled son. I was taken by ambulance to inland Valley..Omg never again. I'n the ambulance they poked me multiple times to get the I V started. I asked to urinate they just left me in the hall where I was getting bumped into. the nurse came to get my insurance card. Told me I would just have to wait or piss my self. All night I waited till 1:30 am I asked the nurse again. As she was eating ore cookies and spilling crumbs on me. Told me to shut up, So I asked a nurse named Dave. He took me down the hall and ripped my neck brace off ind went for my IV. I had to push him off me. He tried ripping it out of my arm. Called me a f... B.... Finally after I let them know I am friends with higher ups they brought me a bed pan and dumped it on me. Also messed up my exrays and charged me for thier screw ups. I left asap. I will never go back there and have a law suit. Stay away from that place.

OMG this place is the worst place to go if you have any medical hospital! My gr andma had fallen and broke her hip and they said she was going to have surgery later that night so she came in at 11 AM and they did not let her drink or eat anything all day left her in the er room for 7 hours before they got her a room while still in so much pain and they would not make her feel comfortable at all! Once in her room we all thought she was going into surgery so we were all saying our see ya laters only to find out at 8pm that she was going to have the surgery til the morning, so all this time without food or water and still in so much pain but in the middle of the night my grandma ask if the nurse could move her a little bit the lady grabbed my grandma blanket from the bottom and pulled it is hard that my grandma whole body flu up! It hurt her so bad and all the nurse said was i didn't even pull it that hard they have no compassion for patients at this place! The worst came in the morning when she went into surgeryy we were all in the lobby waiting to see if she made it through the surgery and NO ONE came to tell us anything at all so two hours into surgery my aunt got up and asked if there was anything on my grandma and they told her she id out and heading back to her room now at this point we are so mad that no one came to tell us what they did to her or how she did in surgery or if she even made it out of surgery! All I can say is if you have time to go to a different hospital please do even if that mean you will be in pain a little bit longer it will be worth it to go else where they suck her and don't care about patients very very bad place to go worst hospital ever ever ever ever!

My sister arrived in ER by ambulance with severe abdominal pain and had a history of a gastric bypass which they completely ignored! She lay in the ER for 12 hours in excruciating pain while her vitals worsened hour by hour! After discovering that she had an obstructed bowel within 5 hours they SUPPOSEDLY called in a bariatric surgeon to come in to prepare for surgery but he was a no show!! The automated blood pressure machine began to act up and not display her vitals and she had become cold to the touch and trouble breathing so I became concerned and advised the nursing staff numerous times that something was wrong. After a couple hours they did check vitals manually and her BP, respiration and body temp had dropped considerably. She was rushed into the ICU and I was left in waiting room for over an hour when they informed me that she had CODED and would I care to be in room with her when they called her time of death. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY WITH YOUR LIFE. INLAND VALLEY MED CTR IS A DEATH TRAP. NEVER AGAIN WILL MY FAMILY GO THERE IN AN EMERGENCY!!! PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCE EIGHTPAC@VERIZON.NET

It was a little disheartening to watch the RN place my mom's IV antibiotics on top of the commode (portable toilet) because it was the closest surface available before hanging the medication. When my mom got blood, the bag was first set on the dirty linen container. A syringe with saline fell to the ground and was picked up and then used. Granted, I haven't worked as a nurse for 30 years, and I know there's a nursing shortage and you have to take what you get, but I do hope my mom survives this hospitalization without contracting a life-threatening infection.

This Hospital is unsatisfactory! I had my daughter there and the nurses were very rude, they didn't care about anything that was going on with me. They were very unprofessional! The nurse made me have my daughter before the doctor even arrived and didn't do the normal routine of putting the baby on your stomach and letting daddy cut the umbilical cord. I would never go back there again or ever tell anyone else top go there! I don't want to have any more children because my labor was so bad, and it was caused by the nurses!

This place is a nightmare. I could go on and on with my own personal stories or tell you stories I heard from others but the best advice I have is to go somewhere else if you can. Never have a child at this place, they are completely unable to handle maternity cases! I am glad I heard all the horror stories and was able to make my choice not to go here. If you have an emergency do whatever you can to get to another hospital if you can. Inland Valley and Rancho Springs are awful!

PROS: Location
CONS: Incompetent, overpriced, understaffed, never have a baby here!
