We cancelled a cruise to Alaska 6 months ago and have still to receive our deposit. We are a long time cruiser with Princess but, that means nothing to them. Only if you book a cruise and pay them fast..

I have taken Princess on at least 8 cruises and it is a great 4 star experience. The Tahitian Islands was my favorite so far. The food is ok to good, (hint order multiple entrees at dinner and then eat what tastes best; it's all one price), the rooms are nice but small and the ships are well laid out. It's a great 4 star experience and fun to go with friends. The value exceeds what you are paying.

Sherry: Is there some way to find out from Princess WHY these changes were made? We are furious!!! First of all, one of the main reasons we chose this particular cruise is because it was stopping in St. Maarten. Secondly, Tortola doesn't even compare to St. Maarten, so I feel we are getting less. And finally, the times they changed are ridiculous. Who wants to be on the islands until 10 and 11 at night???? Is this a scheme by Princess to save money because they hope people will be eating dinner on the islands instead of the ship? And from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Horrible! People are on vacation and may not want to be up and out by 7, but if they don't they don't get to see the island. This just went from a nice cruise to garbage! And when my sister called Princess they were completely ignorant to her. Maybe legally they can make changes as they wish, but what kind of business sense is that? I will never cruise on Princess again and intend to let everyone know what Princess did. I work in a huge law international firm with thousands of employees who cruise all the time. I will be putting something on our portal about this. Love to hear back from you.

Our last cruise to Alaska (May 4th till May 11th, 2008).

We are four very disappointed travelers. We have traveled before with Costa, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Disney Cruise Line. We have had 8 or 9 cruises before and we have been to Australia, Alaska, Caribbean, Mediterranean and Panama.

We were told that this cruise line was one of the bests but we have our doubts. The first night we found a worm in our broccoli. The personnel didn??t do a thing when we complaint about it. The waiter kept on telling us it wasn??t his fault. He called his boss he offered to give us a complaint letter which never arrived. The worm in the broccoli could have laid some eggs and affect our stomach, gastrointestinal walls, etc. and all we know is that there was a lot of bureaucracy and everybody kept on saying sorry but that was no ones fault. In the third night the waiter brought me a diet coke in a glass all covered with lipstick. It was very disgusting. When we complaint we had this nonsense attitude with the waiter and the head of the waiters. They told us that they were not allowed to put a napkin in the glass to clean it because of healthy reasons. All we knew is that the waiters could clean the glasses with lipstick before they put the glass in the dryer machine and not after. That night head of the waiters told us that his boss was going to talk to us. We stayed in the dinning room and we were the last people to got out of it and no one showed up.

We went to the pursers desk and we found more bureaucracy. The responsible took notes in his personal book and he said that he was going to tell his supervisor and that they will investigate what happened. I??m sorry to tell you this but a client doesn??t want to feel and hear that someone will investigate instead all they want to hear is an apologize and a promise that everything will be taken care of, instead he just said, well they have to investigate first and if what you say is right, they will take care of it.

The next day someone woke us up to tell us that he was in charge of what happened and that he was sorry. But that was it.

After that we felt very insecure about the food and of course it happened one more time. We found a hair in our buffet meal that didn??t belonged to any of us because of the color. It was blond and we all have brown hair. We didn??t complaint of do anything about it because we felt at that point that it was useless.

We also noticed that the level of organization in the way your cruise line handles the tours was very deficient. In other cruises they tell you to meet in a specific lounge at a specific time and they give you a sticker with a number in it and they also give you the preference of disembarking first. In here they just told us, we will meet you at the port 10 minutes before the tour time and there will be a bus. The disembarking is terrible and slow and of course a lot of people arrived late to the busses which made the tour shorter in time.

The last day was the worst one. We didn??t have had any problems with the guy who did our room till then. We paid a pre and post package with your cruise line. Instead of being the first ones who got out of the ship, we were the last ones. They told us to be at the explorers lounge at 10:00 a.m. We knew that we were supposed to live the room early, which we did (8:30 a.m.) but we didn??t expect to be bothered by the guy who did the rooms. At 8:07 a.m. he knocked room E307 and tried to open the door. I swore to god that I am telling the truth. There is no need from us to be lying at this point. We were amazed that it could be happening. When we answer What is it?, he reply: ??You are supposed to live the room by 8:00 a.m.? I know that you have other passengers coming but believe me it??s a very disrespectful thing to do. You dont do that!!! Of course he didn??t care any more because he had his tip.

They REALLY believe in Customer Service. Actually, you don't know what customer service is until you to this place. We (as a family) are really picky eaters, and the dining manager would come to our table every night to show us the menu; if the vegetarian menu wasn't all that he would recommend the chef make us some Indian food.

The rooms were cleaned everyday. The ship was also kept clean. They had a great entertainment team, that wouldn't let us get bored at sea. The cruise was the best vacation I have ever taken, and it was due to Princess Cruises.

They REALLY believe in Customer Service. Actually, you don't know what customer service is until you to this place. We (as a family) are really picky eaters, and the dining manager would come to our table every night to show us the menu; if the vegetarian menu wasn't all that he would recommend the chef make us some Indian food.

The rooms were cleaned everyday. The ship was also kept clean. They had a great entertainment team, that wouldn't let us get bored at sea. The cruise was the best vacation I have ever taken, and it was due to Princess Cruises.
