Some people may feel im being really picky on mexican joint in Denver... but it it really that hard to get a salsa thats NOT SWEET?! is there some sort of chemical reaction to salsa and the altitude? I havnt found a good salsa in Denver, its really disappointing.

On a side note, I ordered the Chile Colorado... good flavor, not even a spec of spice, and it was cold.

Where do the real mexicans go to eat in town? necesito un compadre que me diga dnde puedo comer bein, porque ya basta con todo esto!

For starters... The food is cold... The plates are ugly... And that wouldn't matter if it were yummy... Sadly no. But try going to Las Delicias or El Tejado!!! Muy Bueno!!!

We probably eat at Casa Vallarta three times a month. They've got great Queso and the chips are made fresh. The meals are always good. The to go service is great and will typically be done by the time we've made the eight minute drive to pick it up.

We ate at Casa Vallarta for the first time in January 2010. Overall, I liked it although I was not brought the combo meal I had requested. I didn't say anything--just went ahead and ate what I got. My meal wasn't quite hot enough, but the taste was pretty good. The meals are big. My husband, who can eat quite a bit, couldn't finish his plate. Our children liked what they got. My older son got the same meal I had. The two little ones ate for $1.95--kid's eat for that price on Saturday and Sunday. They did have the cabbage salsa that we have enjoyed at another Mexican restaurant. Not quite as good as the other restaurant's, but still pretty good. Our server was helpful and friendly. They bring you complimentary sopaipillas at the end which were very tasty. Overall, we liked it and we would most likely go back.

We love Casa Vallarta! As a family, it is one of the first places that we typically consider to eat at when we are going out for dinner. The staff are always friendly and the service great. Typically from the door to food on our table is 15 minutes or less. The food is always wonderful.

If anyone ever asks us about our choice for a mexican restraunt, Casa Vallarta is it!

One of the problems with karaoke in Denver is that it's usually a flat out bar scene. What is wonderful about Casa Vallarta is that it offers karaoke for families in a setting that is not only bar food. Mind you, there is drinking (it's a Mexican restaurant after all), but there is a separate bar for the hardcare drinkers. Usually in the karaoke room, it is a mix of families and groups of folks who (often want to drink) but are there to have a good time and sing. There is a dance floor which is usually used for group dancing (a la the Casper Slide, electric slide, and newer dances, too).

The food is good -- better than On the Border -- but not great. Definitely order the shrimp fajitas, delcious. However, the one thing about being in the karaoke room is that they charge for drink refills! The bar room or restaurant room does not charge for drink refills, though.

If you have kids or even just enjoy karaoke, it's a non-threatening, fun place to go singing. :-) See ya there!

Pros: Karaoke room, family-friendly, good dj's, fun atmosphere.

Cons: Often absolutely packed on Friday night. Reservations for the karaoke room a must!

If you are ever stranded overnight in Denver, this is the place to go.
My wife and I were not disappointed when driven to this authentic Mexican delight while stranded overnight due to snow.
This appears to be a family owned and run business that has everything you want for an enjoyable experience.
The food was delicious, and the portions beyond you stomachs capacity. My wife ordered a fried Tilapia (fish) that literally filled a very large plate. The prices are reassonable, and be ready to carry home the leftovers.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, topping of the drinks at every turn.

This restaurant is the best place in town by far (and we have been many, many places.) They have awesome food and great service. The owner does recognize regulars, however he greats everyone like a good friend at the door almost 7 days a week. They truly seem to appreciate your patronage! We love their Unique Pico De Gallo...we take some home in a 'to go cup.' We live in a small town out east and will drive over 70 miles to eat at this establishment even though our small town just got our first mexican restaurant just weeks ago...
I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone!

Pros: Great food, Large servings, Awesome service

Cons: None

Casa Vallarta is a GREAT mexican resturant. They are even starting to bring in some Italian food to satisfy more of their customers tastes. The owner is awesome, he seems to know who the regular customers are (my husband & I are very regular). The service is very very good. We get seated promptly every time. They are pretty busy on the weekends, of course like all other restaurants in town. Food service may seem a little slower than a week night. We can get our food in around 10 mins. most nights. LOVE Casa Vallarta.

It seems like there are so many bad or just 'ok' mexican resturants in Denver...but luckly we found this place one night....the food is fresh and everyone is very friendly...its a family owned business and they make everyone feel like family.
They also have a kareoke bar that is a lot of fun as well.
