I've been looking for a Zumba class specifically to soothe my dance fix and a friend suggested ClubSport so we could be workout buds...I have to say, I am absolutely hooked! The instructors are flippin' amazing, Kelli and Shaleesha: wow! talk about booty shakin!! They are such an inspiration to me! I can't wipe the smile off my face...it's the most fun in a great environment...all ages, nobody cares if you mess up because we ALL mess up! I know, it's on the expensive side, but I've never seen such a list of classes that will fit my schedule, at any time of the day....hey, if Zumba time doesn't work there's another class on strength conditioning or whatever...just try something new! That's the fun!

Disgustingly high prices that are kept high to discourage the riffraff. Ask about the pricing and you'll get nothing but discrimination and rudeness from the staff. Stay away from this place on principle.

Probably the lamest climbing gym I've ever been to. The staff act like they are super rad, the prices are outlandish and the routes are incredibly soft. The only reason I ever climb there is cause I get free passes at different events in town. I hear you can get cheap punch passes during the holidays, but paying more than $6 per use would be paying too much.

I guess if you lived across the street and wanted to do more than just climb I could understand why you would want to go. I just hope the people climbing there don't take the grades too seriously, especially since the local crags are somewhat stiff.

It all depends what you are looking for - if you are looking for variety and options for your workout, cleanliness, a convenient location and friendly staff members you will want to check out this club.

Been a member for a long time and with the usual price increases decided it was time to leave. I asked about other pricing plans and was told to not let the door hit me on the way out. Not sure about why they are able to get away with such abuse nor do they care to keep people but rather it's all about signing new members. I'll spread word of mouth how not to join this club. Too many others out there that want to keep you happy.

We have been a member of the club for about 5 years now and have really enjoyed the ammenities however the price increases have been incredible so it has us thinking of investigating other places to join.

The nice things about this club are they always keep this very clean and well kept with updates to the changings rooms and rotating great workout machines into the main floor. A club worker continually is coming by while on machines w/ water and always someone on the floor to help out if you have questions. This is a great place if you have kids younger than 8 yrs old since they have a KidsClub to drop them at while you work out. They also have plenty of exercise classes to choose from (ie: yoga, spinning, etc).

The not so great things are even though they have an outdoor pool, which I actually prefer, it is usually so crowded it is not very enjoyable. Our kids are now in the "tweener" stage and there really is no club to put them in while you work out nor can they access the workout area until 13 so really no where for them to go.

It would be nice if they had different packages to offer whereby if you are only utilizing the workout area and 1 or 2 classes, it would be at a certain price versus if you were using the swimming pool, childcare and the climbing wall.

Overall a nice club but far too expensive and the pricing structure is "one size fits all". I guess the advantage in the club is also the disadvantage. Most likely you do not have the time or inclination to use all that is offered and more importantly all that you are paying for. So in other words your paying for stuff that you will never use so you can subsidize the use by others. Why did we pay for an outdoor pool in Oregon, it is only open 3 months out of the year. They have tried to be everthing to everybody which has left us all footing the bill. I was a member for 6 years and just got fed up with the constant price increases and the "one size fits all" approach. When I cancelled, they didn't if try to keep my membership, just said bye. Nicecustomerloyaltyandservice. Enjoy.

PROS: good location, open floorplan, recently remodeled
CONS: too expensive, staff uncaring, pricing structure

We have hosted 2 Team parties for over 130 people each time at Club Sport. We keep coming back because they do such an outstanding job!

It is a fabulous location to host a large or small event. The event coordinator, Jess DeMonte is a pleasure to work with and she completely works within your budget and then goes above and beyond what is requested.

The food was outstanding and there was plenty to go around. We had over 50 hungry high school athletes plus family members and everyone raved about how delicious the buffet was. The first year we did an Italian menu and then this past event was a Mexican buffet.

We also showed several presentations and Club Sport provided us with all of the tech equipment needed which was one less thing to worry about.

In the end, we would HIGHLY recommend you hosting an event at Club Sport. You won't be disappointed!

We held a 25 person team building event at Club Sport. We found the activities to be fun, and engaging. The event was well organized and flowed well. The team building consisted of several team games, allowing for participation by all of our team members. The activities weren't too athletically challenging but they did keep us all entertained. Jessica did a great job of organizing and the events flowed well. We went from team building on the sports courts to the individual challenge of climbing the rock wall. Our evening wrapped up wtih appetizers and cocktails in the restaurant. It was a great event and we would definitely come back for another fun outting.

We are a small non-profit that held our fundraising dinner at the Club Sport Restaurant. It was an overall great experience. Jessica was great to work with, very organized and flexible on the pricing. The food was very good and there was plenty to go around. Everyone that was working there was very friendly and personable. They were able to meet all of our last minute needs. Club Sport is a great place to hold an event, we would go back over and over.

We are a non-profit preschool in Tigard that looked everywhere for a venue for our annual auction. We needed a site that served our needs in an affordable way, and Club Sport went beyond anything we could have hoped for. Jessica Demonte, Events Manager, was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. She had so many ideas for us!

We held our silent and live auctions in the restaurant and bar spaces. Perfect! We hired a DJ who set up in another area for dancing. Fun! We were extremely happy with the chef and his suggestions for our heavy appetizer buffet. Yum! They allowed us to bring in our own desserts and were given access to refrigerators for our giant dessert table. Accommodating! The bar manager designed a custom drink menu for our group to go along with our theme. Thank you!
The only decorations we needed to utilize for our event on a late November Saturday were candles, linens and white twinkle lights. There really wasn't a need for any other embellishment.
We are booking our event for 2010 as soon as we can!

My nephew had his Bar Mitzvah at Club Sport. The catering staff and chef were very accommodating with the menu, party planning and all the arrangements. We had 100 people (60 kids) and the staff kept them active and having a great time. The highlights were the climbing wall and dodgeball. Overall, the service was great and the party a big success.

Cons: With so much space, your party can get fragmented.

We held a department Holiday Party at ClubSport this month. The venue was great, staff friendly and helpful. The rock climbing wall was a huge hit for our group. ClubSport organized many activities for us, to ease the planning and on-site tasks of our company. We would use this facility again.

Club Sport as hosted Tualatin REI's Christmas party for 3 years now and the process has always been smooth and easy. They are more then willing to accommodate your specific need and have great ideas for the whole group. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. For groups who are on a budget, their prices are very reasonable and they have an awesome rock gym. There is no reason why we won't continue to visit them every holiday season.

I received several prenatal massages w/ Tia throughout my 2nd and 3rd trimester at Club Sport. All where excellent. Various techniques where used. All addressed my need to relax muscle tension and improve blood circulation. I was very impressed.

Therapists at Club Sport can accomodate both side lying AND prone (face down) prenatal massage requests. They have a special prenatal massage table.

If you need a great massage...head over to Clubsport. At most spa's the massages aren't worth the money. The theripists at Clubsport are great! I feel like I'm getting my money's worth when I'm done. I'm relaxed and feel like they've removed the tension I carry in my muscles.

Club Sport was a wonderful event venue for our annual dinner and auction fundraiser. We loved our experience so much that we??ve already booked our 2010 event. We??re a non-profit organization that provides summer camp for children with diabetes and our event incorporates our campers, their families, as well as board members and community leaders.

For the adults in attendance, we utilized Club Sport??s restaurant and conference room space for our dinner, silent and oral auction. The kids enjoyed their own pizza buffet and then enjoyed the rock climbing wall, the dance studio with an instructor, and the basketball courts. Needless to say ?? Club Sport was a thumbs-up for all of our attendees. Jessica DeMonte, Events Manager, leads an outstanding team that helped us host a very successful evening. She is incredibly knowledgeable and detail oriented which made the auction planning and logistics run smoothly. Among the other Club Sport standouts were Chef Rick Huegli and Bar & Restaurant Manager, Scott Henderson, who prepared and served an outstanding banquet for our guests.

I have had a couple of massages at Club Sport and have been highly impressed on each occasion. Staff is friendly and skills are equivalent, if not better, than pricey day spa salons. Can't wait until my next appointment!

As virtually everybody knows, Club Sport has great facilities - go check it out for yourself, it's fairly impressive. A fair amount of little things - free towels, nice locker rooms with no need to bring along a padlock, personal TVs on cardio equipment. It doesn't have everything, however - for example, no tennis courts.

The main problem is that it's incredibly expensive. For a single membership, it's over $100 a month - plus a joining fee that is anywhere from $150-400 depending on promotions/work/AAA discounts.

Family monthly rates are something in the 200-250 range, which is admittedly expensive, but a better deal than the single membership if the whole family takes advantage. They include 3 hours of free childcare, which is quite an amazing perk and makes the monthly fees seem *cheap* for parents with young kids.

So it's basically geared up for families - if you're a single/couple, it's a waste of money compared to 24 hour fitness which is right across the freeway (with discounts, you're looking at less than $30/month there). Doubt that rates will drop much even in this economy, Lake Oswego has ample supply of rich families who won't flinch at $3k/year.

IF you sign-up for Club Sport and it doesn't work out, don't expect a cheerful refund. Phone calls to cancel your membership are not acceptable. Written cancellations are not confirmed. Auto-debits of your personal banking/credit accounts continue even after you cancel.

Many gyms have a bad reputation for this, and Club Sport is no exception.

I have hosted several business events at Clubsport Oregon, using their conference room, and it has been so easy!! Working with Jessica is one of the main reasons I choose to do business there. She is so efficient and easy to work with, and wil ldo her best to accommodate all your needs. The location is fantastic, the price is extremely doable, and for a casual event, a great venue. Catering and beverage services are there on site, and arrangement of the room is done for you as well as clean up.
And just in case you are looking for a great family or singles place to work out, Clubsport Oregon is one of the finest in town. Their trainers and goup ex classes are second to none!

I have had awards breakfasts, appreciation lunches, holiday dinners and classes at Clubsport and have never been disappointed.

I have paid more, at other venues, for these types of events . However, I have yet to receive a level of service that meets or exceeds my experience with Clubsport.

For the first time in my life I like going to the gym. Although calling ClubSport a gym is really an understatement. The club is so full of great energy that just walking in the door inspires me to workout, even on the days that I really don?t feel like it. There is always something going on, basketball, racquetball, group fitness classes, rock climbing and of course the equipment is great. Even at peak times I can always get a treadmill or other cardio equipment.

ClubSport may be seen as a little pricey, but honey, you get what you pay for! The staff is so attentive and nice. I was on the treadmill and forgot my towel and a staff member noticed and brought me one, then offered to refill my water bottle for me, now that service. Before ClubSport I had to get a babysitter for child care so I could get a few minutes to myself, now I go to the club, where I get 3 hours free every day with my membership, and my kids love it. I don't know what I would do without ClubSport.

I can?t remember if the membership reps name is Kerri or Terri, nonetheless her behaviour and attitude was appalling. The we are better than you gym which therefore is why we can and WILL charge $100 a month and continue to price increase is a deal breaker from the get go. The front desk boy named Beau wanted to know what I did for a living, which is irrelevant to joining. I refuse to join a gym and pay a fee of $100 when there are plenty others out there that are less pricy. However, when I told membership services Kerri/Terri this, she told me I just wasn?t the type of person who could be part of their gym because of my status. This is coming from a person who makes less than most of the members. The main point is that just because a person isn?t willing to fork out money like this, doesn?t equate to not having it. To the contrary, smart business people don?t frivolously throw money out the window. Poor business tactics and lost me before I even came in. I may have tried a few days to see if it was a fit, but after being repeatedly insulted by Kerri/Terri/Beau, you can bet I will take my money, business and body somewhere where they don?t feel the need to belittle someone to gain business. My Naturopathic practices deals with a lot of different personalities and never have I come across such arrogance and intolerance than this Club Sport. Club joiners BEWARE.

Pros: Didn't JOIN

Cons: Self absorbed sales staff looking to increase prices, because of the name Club Sport

I have been a member for about eight years. The prices HAVE gone up, but it is definately worth it! The locker rooms are very nice, with a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. My favorite part of clubsport is the classes. My favorites are Group Kick, Group Groove, Group Power, and Zumba Fitness. The instructors are awesome and I always push myself so hard during the classes! But, I am glad to know I can work out individually, too! The people at clubsport are so nice and friendly, it's just a great environment. When I was away in Spain, I grew homesick for my home, but also for Clubsport!

I have been a member for four years and watched as the prices have gone up and up and up. I appreciate the fact that ClubSport continues to upgrade and take care of its facility. I also appreciate the fact that this is the best place in town to belong if you have kids. However, the monthly dues are getting out of control. We will likely quit the club at the next rate increase.

The variety and energy level is great at ClubSport. Just what one needs to carry them through a workout. I have workout equipment at home, but find it easier to make it through a tough workout in the ClubSport environment. I've belonged to other clubs, they too have many people, but not in as nice of facilities or space.

Club Sport of Oregon is definately a health club to join! It is well worth the monthly dues with all that is offered. Its staff is friendly and helpful. The club is clean and very well maintained. It has thee best rock climbing wall in Oregon as well as others I have visited in California. I can use a variety of muscle groups on alternate days with the work out equipment, bike classes, yoga classes, pilates, lap swim pool, playing some "hoop" or enjoying the recreation pool in the summer! Many families are seen together by the pool in the summer. You can even "top" a day or evening off at their restaurant with appetizers, meals or your favorite beverage.

The staff in the climbing gym is generally first rate, but when it comes to the rest of the staff they are like power hungry nazis. All they seem to care about is enforcing the rules for the members and not following the rules themselves. The facilities are nice and well done, but they took on their expansion to aggressively and the cost of membership increased to fast. When I was a member when it was Sport's Nation my member dues were about $30 per month (back in Nov 1996) now they are $83 per month (almost triple in 7 years times). The only reason I am still here is because it is convienient for me.

Cons: Too expensive, Rest of the staff

The spinning classes have all been fantastic. The majority of the instructors very motivated and fun. Some of the other exercise classes seem variable in instructor guidance or at least not very inviting for beginners. The new lockers rooms and showers are a true benefit and have encouraged my impromtu visits to the gym. The climbing wall is a definite plus.
