Upscale and cool, though a bit pricey. It's pretty cool to see music videos playing at the end of the lanes. Bartender MIke is great, and the bar menu is surprisingly good for a bowling alley. A good time if you've got some $$ to spend.

10pin is like bowling for yuppies, but not as obnoxious. They pull off the "upscale bowling lounge" thing well, as it is cool and relaxed without the pretense of many nightclubs. Expect the place to be filled with younger professionals from Chicago, daters, groups of college students and the like. Bowling lanes are as good as any other, but there is a giant video screen playing music videos which is a cool novelty. Full menu restaurant as well, with good but expensive food. Overall, it's not quite a shady bowling alley but not quite a pretensious nightclub, and it strikes a balance well. A good place to get together with friends for a night out, or after work relaxation.

PROS: interesting concept
CONS: expensive

This place tries to combine the bowling alley with a hip, lounge style environment, and does it reasonably well. A great location, and very well designed interior. A relaxed but fun environment, and in proximity to countless other Chicago spots.

The food menu is definitely several notches above a typical bowling alley, but, like most "hip" restaurant spots, it's pricey. Games of bowling are expensive too, but that's all part of the type of place it is. It caters to working professionals, so there will be yuppies, but overall a good crowd. A good place for a night out, since you can bowl, eat, and drink all in the same place.

Very nice equipment, huge video screen that shows videos while music plays, definitely an interesting bowling experience.

PROS: bowling for the hip
CONS: expensive

10 Pin Bowling Lounge moves away from the dive-bar atmosphere that most bowling alleys are associated with. It caters to the urban professionals who can now bowl a few frames while sipping martinis after work. It gets busy and the upbeat music kicks in at nighs which gives it more of a social atmosphere.
