This museum is great for young kids. Many of the enhibits are aimed for kids about 6 and under. They have so many hand on activities that are great for young ones!

I have a 9 year old and a 3 year old. Sometimes it's hard to go somewhere to please both kids, but they both enjoy the Seattle Children's Museum. So do I.

From learning about different cultures, to running a drive thru restraunt, acting out a play with wonderful props, or simply painting, your kids are sure to find something fun to do.

The Seattle Children's Museum is definately a great, inexpensive way to spend the day in the heart of Seattle.

I had a joint membership to the Children's Museum with my Pacific Science Center membership, but something got messed up along the way. The Science Center was able to confirm that I indeed had a joint membership, but it was not showing up on the Children's Museum side. After spending a long time discussing this (which really bored my impatient nephews), we were able to get in. Next time, I'll go with something else besides here.

The Childrens museum is very small, the number of exhibits is limited to toys designed for children 4 or under. My 10 year old wanted to leave after 25 minutes.

If you have children and they're getting bored with your trip out to Seattle, then you have to take them to visit Seattle Children's Museum. They have so many attractions here which is fun and at the same time educational for the children. They always have dfferent exhibits which I noticed after the few times I went there.

I have taken my kids here and they really seem to enjoy it. The prices are reasonable, and its a fairly cheap way to spend a fun evening with the entire family. I like the parking here, its a breeze to get in and out. The staff is always friendly, and seem to like children which is always a plus. The building is always maintained nice, and sometimes the management sends out coupons for specials.

I love to take my son to the children's museum. There are lots of exhibits and there is alot of interaction. He always has a blast. It is also reasonably priced, which is always good with kids.

When you're anxious to occupy the kids' time for most (if not all) of a day, you'd be hard-pressed to do better than a museum that's just for them. They can learn about Northwest forests, "sail" to foreign lands, play fireman, explore their artistic sides, see how well they can act in a faux theater, and many other things sure to delight them (and the kid-at-heart in you).

We are members of the Children's Museum because my son just loves going there. He has a wonderful time exploring there. The exhibits are changed often, and there are age appropriate areas for all children.

Get the dual pass with Pacific Science Center to save money. The kids LOVE going to this museum. There are so many things to do and the staff is very kid-friendly.

In the basement of the center house, the museum is not at all like a museum. Everything is hands on, climb on & play on! There is a theatre with costumes and a working lightboard, climbing wall, science experiemnts, toddler area and multi-cultural village. My favorite was a traveling exhibit of My Neighbor Totoro - the full sized furry cat bus was fabulous! The museum is a great day out!

PROS: Always fun!
CONS: Needs a bit of sprucing up - getting a bit worn.

It's actually quite cost effective to get a year's membership by which you can take up to four other people with you. There are many hands-on exhibits to explore, from the grocery store and the theatre to the radio room and the discovery maze. Upstairs, you can get a bite to eat at various kiosks, and there are child-sized chairs as well as grown-up chairs in which to sit.

Located in Seattle Center, the Seattle Children's Museum is a world designed for children. Kids can play in kid-sized houses or act out scenes at the Bijou Theatre. There is a special baby/toddler play area with a fun nautical theme for the youngest members of the family. The changing exibits offer hands-on exploration and sensory stimulation for all children! Don't miss the great gift store with high-quality games, books and toys.
