First impression was good the store was clean well stocked and looked very professional. After we found the 32 pound bags of cat litter we wanted I asked the young lady at the check stand if they had carts, she answered "NO", con on folks, I'm disabled and it's hard for my wife to walk around with a 32 pound bag we wanted two bags so we dragged them over to the check stand.

My wife hands the young lady at the check stand a credit card, the young lady said that they were faxing an order in and that the fax would not allow the credit card machine to work. What! Why would you set up a credit card scanner on a fax line? You're card scanner is a money machine, it makes you money! Get it! You don't want anything to interferer with it because it can cost you a sale and that's money, $$$ money. She then asked if we had cash or a check. You must be kidding! My wife wanted to walk out, I told her to wait as the young lady went in the office to ask a young man, (manager I guess) for a manual card printer, she writes the card information manually because she can't get the card to print then she asks my wife for her signature on a blank card sales slip, no amounts filled in. I told the young lady that we couldn't accept a blank slip she then filled in the amounts.

Upon leaving the store dragging our 32 pound bags, two elderly ladies came in and asked the young man.(manager I guess) for a cart he said, "No we don't have carts" I guess the elderly ladies have to drag the bags also.

We thought that our first time at Red Barn Feed was going to be a pleasant experience, NOT SO.

We used to go to this place all the time, get all our cat food there. And over the course of several years (5-7) occasionally between 1-3 of our cats (we had about 2-4 at the time) would all suddenly get ""fatty liver disease"" and then about half of the sick cats would die. This happened OVER AND OVER. In the course of using them as our sole pet food store we lost about 3 cats to this, not to mention the thousands of dollars in vet bills. One day we smelled the dry food we were feeding them and it smelled WRONG. \r\n\r\nIt turns out you have to store pet food at the right temperatures and not for too long or certain molds can multiply and turn the food toxic. Our cats weren't all suddenly ,oddly, getting ""fatty liver disease"", we were feeding them poizin food. Red Barn stores their food in an uncooled barn in the summertime and doesn't have a lot of turnover on the products. This is perfect conditions for the toxic molds.\r\n\r\nWhile I love the people there and the free popcorn, that's not enough to make up for improperly storing the food until it turns into toxic, liver-destroying poizin. The food gets too warm in the barn, especially in the summertime. Don't buy pet food here unless you want your pets to die.\r\n\r\nI hate being so harsh on the place, but since we stopped buying food there, our pets haven't gotten ""fatty liver disease"" once, and it used to happen every year or two. The people are great. If you want to support this lovely old business, buy collars and leashes and cat scratchers and pet condos there. But don't, for the love of your pet, buy anything edible here.\r\n\r\nSorry, guys...

Red Barn Feed is a full service pet store carrying supplies for a wide variety of animals. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry all the major brands and their prices are decent. I use them instead of Petco.

Red Barn has a large supply of just about everything you need for your pets. They carry a broad selection of brands. Their service is very good, employees are knowlegeable and helpful. I think their pricing is better than the major chains but I don't know since I know longer shop at the major chains.

Red Barn is a huge pet store that'll make you feel like you're in the country. They sell everything you would need for your dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horse -- even monkeys. Go to the back and you'll see baby chicks. This place is fun and a great change from the generic and poor customer service oriented chains. They even have a vet avaiable for advice from time to time. Check them out!
