5 Stars: Real Actors (by Damon R.)

Lauren W. and alot of these other people are just problematic EXTRAS that wont ever act for real. SO funny how people think they can get by in this industry without the proper investments in themselves. That right there shows you they dont have what it takes to make it. I am from New York and have been working on and off there and LA for 6 yrs. I came down here and I have professional headshots as well as a proper resume and everything I need to make it. I take classes at least twice a month...PEOPLE all that is not free but it prepares me and gets me to my best. You cant even walk into an agency in LA without a full resume speed reel and great pics/portfolio.......I am with 2 agencies here and if people knoew just how hard it is everywhere else they wouldnt be complaining about stupid small things.....goodluck to everyone because most of you will not make it in this industry...go work at Applebees!!!

PROS: they care
CONS: They are new and are building

5 Stars: AVA Talent Rocks! (by Gary D.)

I have been signed with AVA for about six months now. Ali and Sheena have sent me on several auditions. So far I have landed One speaking role and one more booked! I am new to the industry so I know that I am not ready for big parts yet but when I am ready (I can represent the agency as good talent) I will be sent on more and more!

PROS: Great office and Agents
CONS: New Agency

5 Stars: L.W. is a little one SIDED (by R.P. M.)

I have been with AVA Talent for about 3 months and I live here in Louisiana as well as Los ANgelos, they are very personable and comfortable. Not pushy but knows what you need to go further, no person can make it in acting without professional pictures/resume, and classes. He provides all that very very cheap....the pics are good and cost is very low. There are some good agencies in Louisiana, L.W. seems to think Fame is the only reputable agency in town. Break a Leg!

5 Stars: Very Reputable (by Jason W.)

I am with AVA Talent and they have sent me on numerous auditions as well as working on thier own indie films. THe $35 fee pays for ink and paper they reformatt your resume and always print all your headshots and resumes up for you. This saves alot of trouble and money for us talent. Good agency!!

2 Stars: Thumbs Down (by L. C.)

Lot's of fees, major insistence on photography session (reason why i left without signing on). Very pushy, almost high-pressure environment towards the "talent." Have heard from many others once singed up, got very few listings, so appraently, not so-high pressure on doing what they're being paid to do...promote clients.

2 Stars: they take your money and don't get you jobs (by Grace e.)

the guy will take consultation fees and say he's gonna book you and all he really books you on is extra work. Me and a few of my friends fell for this. One even got pictures taken and they're awful and she paid a lot. The casting director is just the owners girlfriend . anways he's majorly unprofessional and he talks so fast (like a used car sales man) so before you know it you paid him money so be careful.

2 Stars: AVA talent not worth it (by Lauren W.)

AVA talent requires a $35 "processing fee" -no reputable agency requires a fee, they make money from booking their talent. They also encourage (persistantly) new talent to have photos taken with their photographer (they get commission from each booking the photographer gets).
