Look no further. You will not be dissapointed if you chose Dr Acevedo as your vet. I have been taking my pets to him for 10 years. He actually loves animals unlike vets I have been to in the past. He helped me nurse 3 puppys through parvo. He really cares!!!!

If I could give less then 1 star I would! Dr. Acevedo is TERRIBLE! He is cold, uncaring and unprofessional with both owners and their pets. I have never been treated or seen my beloved pet treated with such disregard!I will NEVER return.

I take all my dogs to Mar. I took my pup to get spayed and
she chewed the stitches the first night. They stitched her
again for free. I really like them!

I chose MAR because of my previous experience with the vet a few years back. He did surgery on our dog and it all went very well. So, my daughter and I took her 7 month old kitten to get him neutered. When we dropped him off, there was no pre-op exam, no information given, we were just told to leave him on the floor in his carrier and someone would come and get him. We both had a bad feeling, but I just thought it was nerves at the thought of surgery. When we picked him up, again, there was no information forthcoming about the surgery, or any post-op care, things to look for. He slept all day, the one time he got up, he was very unsteady on his paws. My daughter had to get back home so they made the trip to Los Angeles. The next day he did not seem right, 2 days out, he had a fever and his hind legs were trembling whenever he tried to sleep, he also had not been passing urine or poo. I called the office, and the receptionist was very curt, she said we needed to get a blood test on him at $105.00. I explained to her I had paid for the surgery for my daughter, that I did not have the money up front, but could make payments, could the dr. please see the kitten I was beside myself with concern about the cat having an infection, or worse. She would hear nothing of it. She lied to me and told me she warned my daughter about possible side effects if no lab work was done pre-op to check his blood and kidney function. When I told her I was there when he was dropped off and that she was lieing, she changed her attitude-slightly. I have still not been able to talk to the vet, the receptionist is the WRONG person to have working that place, I am hoping it is not too late for my daughter's kitten.

Dr. Acevedo and his staff are great! They are honest, professional and caring. They are very reasonable with prices and I have had nothing but great service with them. From spaying, vaccines, teeth surgery, and more. And last, having to put down my best friend. They have been wonderful.

Thank you Mar.

I have recently been looking to switch vets after I took my dog to Small Animal Hospital and found out their office wanted to charge me close to $60 for an office visit to get a refill on a prescription for my lab's chronic ear infection. That didn't include medication! My groomer recommended Dr. Acevedo. Although this office isn't "plugged-in" with a website or online means of getting information, I went to give them a try. I do as much online as I can, so I appreciate the vets that have registration forms that I can print and fill out before my appointment. Not only was the office visit $35, but when I paid, the lady (whom I assume is his wife) at the front told me to come back in two weeks and the doctor would check him again FOR FREE. The fact they care enough about the animals to make it easy for their owners to get the proper care says a lot about their business. Dr. A is quiet and reserved, but he loves the animals. We recently got a new puppy and she's already going there for her shots. Also, they don't try to force upon you special dog food or flea protection. They only give you what you need.

Pros: Cost Effective

Cons: I can't think of any other than its not close to my house

I really appreciate the work that they did for me and my pet! They were nicely staffed and with professionals that knew what they were doing at that. It also was a very quick and easy experience.
