I started this program 7 months ago and I am currently working on the 70-284 test and will hit the last block next week and in the booth by next Saturday. After that test I will have my A+, MCP, MCSA and +messaging Certifications. I just accepted a Level 1 Sys Admin job at a local Tech Database company. This program works for me but I don't think it is for just anyone. I do believe that if you want to get into the I.T. industry and you are willing to do the work it requires to get thru the program then you have to choose this course. I did all the research and this is the only course that makes sure you get certified which is ultimately what makes the program tougher. It's not a sleeper bull#$^ community college course that barely scratches the surface, it is everything it takes to pass the certification tests plus really learn the job. They have a step in the syllabus called a practicum that tests you on all of skills you are suppose to master in a course and every single student will agree, it isn't easy but it makes the difference in being confident with being able to apply the skills. The course is laid out and the structure is built in but it still takes hard work, perseverance and determination. I am living proof that if you do the work it will work for you. I have referred my brother, his best friend, my best friend and my nephew to this course.
I have to address one idiotic thing A.S. wrote below. A.S. you say...
"I would take a test and if I didn??t pass because I saw things on the test about whole concepts that I had never seen before I would just be told that I would always see things on those tests that I had never seen before. To me that sounds like an excuse for the instructors to not prepare you correctly or at least give you the material you need to prepare for it yourself".
Dude!!!!! Didn??t you read the instructions in the postings directly from CompTIA and Microsoft listed on the screen before every test that say...
"Some questions on the exam may be unscored. These exam questions are included in the exam but are not scored. These questions have no impact on whether a candidate passes or fails the exam. Occasionally these questions may test a topic area that is not part of the exam objectives, and therefore is not covered in training materials. Unscored items are generally seeded on an exam to allow for the collection of preliminary psychometric data. Again, performance on these questions has no impact on the candidate??s score" ?? CompTIA / Microsoft
Not only did 3 different instructors explain this to me before I ever took a test they tell me every single time I go into a test and it is right there on the screen in clear English at the beginning of every test. BUT you fail to mention that! You have to be an idiot, I will put money down that there is no way, no matter what miracle fell from the sky you could ever get certified. There always has to be pool cleaners, right? I am with Luis S. on this, you are an idiot.
Like I said before, if you are willing to do the work then this program absolutely leads to certification which equals a job in this industry and I swear by it! World Class!!

I went to this school for my A+ and MCSA certifications and it was paid for thru EDD and Workforce with the WIA Program. After I was done with those certifications I got a loan thru the school for the MCSE and CCNA certs. There was no way I was going to quallify for a traditional student loan but the school has their own programs which gave me the opportunity to get the rest of the courses i wanted. After the A+ and MCP tests I got a job working for Loma Linda Hospital in their Helpdesk Department and 3 months later moved into the I.S. Department. I came into this program with some computer knowledge but it was a career change for me. I have been going thru this program with many other students in the same situation as me. Many of them are moving quickly, some are moving slower but all are passing the certification tests as they go thru the program. That is why i chose this program, it was the only program I could find that the certification process was done as you went thru the course. Of course that makes the program more intense and much more in depth and that is the reason you will find a handful of people like A.S. that can't hang. They aren't ready for the level of training required to pass the certification tests, they are the type of students that belong at a community college or a program that barely scratches the surface or is only theory because they are not willing to take on the self responsiblity that certification level training requires. They want every answer provided to them so they really don't have to learn it. One thing that I realized about this whole course is that it is set up to be completely different then any type of traditional education we have all been thru. It is set up so that you really learn the hands-on and learn the skills and get certified not just the type of program that you can do as little as possible. If your not like me and you don't need a new career or you don't need to make more money or you don't have other people relying on you to take care of them go to a community college. It is true, you really do need to be commited and willing to do the work. And by the way A.S. there is no way you could just buy the materials and complete the same course, I have friends that have tried to do that and ended up wasting months and getting no where and if you really believe that prove it!! I also was in the program when they changed the materials of the A+ course to the new A+ 2010 course and I got switched over as well. Unlike you I was grateful that they trained me on the newest certification available and I didn't have to start over all I had to do was brush up on the new stuff which they had seperated out for me, your an idiot if you started the whole thing over it was all the same information and if you did do it over you should have been able to get thru it quickly. Sounds like you need to go to community college!!! In all of the training I have completed (8 tests) every single concept i was tested on was in the materials I was provided and every single time I wasn't clear on a concept I went back into those same materials and found the information. The training materials we all use come from the same place that creates the certificaiton tests, doesn't it make sense that the information would be in the material? All of the training software, the study guides, the lab manuels all have the Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco seals of approval, why would they leave out whole concepts?? Every single test objective is listed in them at the beginning, did you miss that?? Every single course has the objectives clearly listed and when you take a test it tells you what objective you need to work on, duh some of the questions are worded differently but still the same objective, at least that is how it was for me. Sounds like the excuse is you and you know what they say about excuses! And the testing, they have always worked around my schedule and both Jon and Rich or Mike have stayed late on Friday and Saturdays so I could finish a booth test or so I could take a final and I have seen them do it for other students too so i know it is not just me. A.S., how old are you? 14? This program was everything i hoped for and if you are looking at getting into the I.T. industry I personally believe you have to choose this school but be prepared to work for it!!!

I enrolled at LTS in the A+, MCSA and MCSE courses in October 2008. I am finished with the A+ and MCSA certifications, I have been working for a local hospital in the I.T. department for two and a half months and I have one more test to pass and I will have my MCSE. When I started school I was driving truck locally and my schedule was a mess. I wanted to go back to school for years but there was no way it was going to happen with my schedule. I did a ton of research and looked at several schools before deciding on LTS. I chose LTS because they could work around my schedule but the main iss the fact that they actually make sure you get certified. Every other school I talked to never even mentioned certification but every employer I talked to wants it. Before I enrolled I spoke with a couple of LTS graduates and sat in on a couple of classes which gave me the chance to talk to a bunch of students. I never heard a bad thing about the school before I enrolled or after I enrolled. Six months into my training I switched careers. They set me up 4 interviews and I had two offers within 3 weeks. This course requires dedication and commitment, as long as you have those two things you can do it. It changed my life. I am a living, breathing commercial. I enrolled, got certified, got trained and changed careers and my brother started the same program 3 months ago. He already has his A+ and MCP!!

This school isn't really a school. If you get the right materials you could complete the same course work and pay a lot less. All of the lectures I had seen were just a repeat of what you read in the book. I went there for a while and was happy, but then I was trying to get one certification and they ended up changing the materials and I had to wait for the new ones to come in before I could finish the certification and come to find out that I had to start from the beginning again. That wasted a lot of my time. Then they would let me take some tests on Saturday and when I would go to take the same test for a different section that was the same length of time they told me that I couldn't do that. Also when I would take a test and if I didn't pass because I saw things on the test about whole concepts that I had never seen before I would just be told that I would always see things on those tests that I had never seen before. To me that sounds like an excuse for the instructors to not prepare you correctly or at least give you the material you need to prepare for it yourself.
