I don't know where to start.

.... Owner decides to play a adult video on the TV screen right above the sushi bar. The restaurant had about 10 customers. He was asked politely by my girlfriend and friend to turn the adult video off. Owner says "if you don't like it get out"

First off the food is at the best OK not good not bad but just plain OK.

Owner is a a**hole who does not appreciate business.

Pros: none

Cons: owner is rude

I have been going here for 5 years and it is the best sushi in SF. It is not hyped up or trendy - it is authentic, run by a Japanese professional (Gan-san) for decades. The specials rotate and the dependables are always consistently fresh. The decor reminds me of the places we visited on a recent extended vacation in Japan. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous garden in back. You can even eat out there if you like. I have several times and it is a relaxing experience.

Pros: quality sushi, authentic, fresh

The sushi here is really fresh. This is one of the few Japanese restaurants in the city that's actually owned by a Japanese person. The shishamo is one of my favorite items on the menu. The decor is relaxing and has a genuine Japanese feel to it, if that makes sense. The owner and chef is a very friendly and funny guy, as are the waitresses. The service is attentive, and the specials are yummy. This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.

Pros: Service, Food, Decor

Cons: Parking

I have been eating here for 25 years. The food always remains excellent, fresh ingredients aways. The food is not served all dolled up like the trendy resturants. If you want that this is not the place for you. This is traditional Japanese food of the highest quality, severed by a very friendly staff in an intimate setting. View of a well maintianed garden with pond.

Great Sushi made by Japanese chefs. I always like to walk around his nice custom-made Japanese garden just outside the dinning area. Goemon box is highly recommended ($12).
