I took my cat to Waianae Vet. for suspected constipation. I called in the morning and the staff were able to schedule me in for 1:30. All of the employees I encountered were sincere and friendly. The entrance was held open for me, and they were patient enough to assist me in removing the nuts from the crate so I could lift my cat out rather than forcibly pulling him out the front. I appreciated that Dr. Collier suggested a conservative method of treatment- continued use of laxatives and watchful observation; as opposed to x-ray or sonogram. I felt that she recognized and respected my ability to understand my cats behavior. *Like many others, I have taken pets to a veterinarian under stressful circumstances and once my sensitivities return, I realize that some tests or examinations were exorbitant. Much like when you take your car to a mechanic, you are unprepared to object to the specialists recommendations! I in fact spoke with another vet. office that same morning, provided the same description of symptoms and was directed to contact the sister clinic as it was the location which had x-ray capability.* Dr. Collier was very gentle in her handling of my feline, and explicitly described all of the procedures and their purpose. My cat was administered an antiemetic to ease nausea and digestion. Today, I received a card addressed also to my husband, (whose name was derived from the records I brought in- how thoughtful!) thanking us for choosing Waianae Veterinary Clinic. I am impressed by this gesture as it seems nonessential- the only other vet. clinic is 25+ mins. away! One last note, the clinic is REMARKABLY clean, not even the slightest odor.

I've been bringing my dogs here for a little over eight years, even when I moved to mililani for two years I still took my pets there. You will be satisfied with how much love and pride the doctors take in there work.

We have used Waianae Veterinary Clinic since moving to the island in 2000. My husband came with a lovable Colby Pitt bull. Unfortunately in the Islands the tick disease called eyrlichia (spelling) is a problem. Our dog contracted this in 2004 and the clinic was able to help keep him with us for another 4 years. They discussed treatment options and always kept in mind his quality of life. In '08 it was time to say goodbye to our friend at the fine age of 14.The staff is very thorough and all of the services are priced fairly. Our new puppy came with some free visits to some other clinics on the island that we used in order to keep the warranty. Not only did the clinic in Kaneohe charge for the "free service" they were supposed to give the last round of shots, free of charge. They waited two weeks and than called to say that our dog needed an appointment for some booster shots. Since they pushed them off, now we would have to pay for them.

I have used Wai`anae Vet for almost 18 years, from Dr. Reb (who I still miss), Brenda and Dr. C C. Dr. Reb always made sure that he had the best working for him and when he sold his clinic, he made sure just the right buyer took over. Dr. CC is it! I have 7 dogs and 9 cats (all rescues) and they all go to Wai`anae Vet. The staff is extremely loving of your animal and will go out of their way to take care of your "baby". If you are looking for a vet clinic with heart and who is willing to work with you in the treatment of your pet and provides high quality care, go to Wai`anae Vet Clinic

I am a satisfied Waianae Vet customer, the service is pleasant and professional. My Rottweiler is very comfortable with the staff and doesn't even mind the huge cat seems to be the clinic's mascot.
