oregon city medical; a good place to go  4 Star Rating - Very good

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the office. yes, it's small, but it's comfortable small. much less daunting than the starkness of the larger, hospital like clinics where doctors see so many people that they don't remember you. and have you ever been to the county clinic?! rooms just as small, but have no warmth or personal feeling. each patient is pushed in and out within 20 minutes as if taking longer means your visit is free. barbara lawson is one of the most gentle and kind womens health doctcrs there ever was. your bound to be uncomfortable in those type of appts., but she takes care to ease the discomfort. dr. earhart is excellent with kids. she believes in a mother's instincts, and listens without patronizing. and danielle is the absolute best doctor I have ever had. she is compassionate, and straight forward and she will stay with you as long as it takes.she believes in problem solving. she understands the demands made on a mom and she cares about her patients. i am so greatful to have her as my doctor. i do have 2 complaints however. it is nearly impossible to get ahold of my doctor when I need her. I can leave messages every single day for a week and still hear nothing back. also, there is a $20 no show fee. I am mindful of this, and I ALWAYS call, usually having to leave a message. but I do. and I still get charged. 9 times out of 10, i get charged for that visit i called in to cancel at least a day in advance.

Danielle is the best!  4 Star Rating - Very good

They might not have the best looking waiting room, but that's not why I'm there for is to judge the way the place looks. Danielle is the best because she would take care of a baby with no medical in a heart beat for FREE and she did that with my newborn Gr. neice. She never charged a penny and didn't stress the point of wanting money to take care of her.I have been going out there for 3 years and I couldn't ask for better care with NO insurance. She does whatever she can giving people samples for months because she knows they don't have the money to buy the medicine.DANIELLE IS THE BEST! She remembers every patients name and their families problems, she's always concerned with helping anyway she can. She should be very proud of herself. The only thing is I was put on hold the entire time I wrote this to ask for my appt time. Her office staff is the worse and its not her fault she's so busy with patient care the phones shouldn't be a concern to her she's busy. I am a MA and the girls she has working in the office a lot of them are on their graduation training and they should not be given a passing grade for front office. They leave you on hold for anywhere from 5 to 22 mins at a time, prescriptions are left on hold for up to 4 days sittin on the fax machine with medications that are suppose to be taken on a reg. basis without missing your dose is another bad thing with her front office.

Don't let them put you on hold  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Love the medical staff, the office staff however leave a lot to be desired. Danielle is the best, but if you are put on hold you will die of old age before you get a live person again!!

My Experience  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I called yesterday to explain I had been in emergency for a coughing condition. My boss actually asked me to get it checked he was so concerned. I called OMC and asked if they could call in some cough medicine till my appointment in February. They said no. I offered to have them contact the ER room, fax the notes, everything. They said no. I asked if they would call in a new prescription to Walgreens because my current prescription at Emanuel Hospital refused to switch because they said it was against state law. I believe it was Kim who said NO, again. All I wanted was some help for my coughing condition which if they had read the charts they would have been aware of. Furthermore, they started arguing with me about the refills on my prescription. When I said I had one left but couldn't pick it up till the 26th, they still argued and said I should have more left. I said perhaps, it was the pharmacist, could they call him as he said he had no probem explaining my situation. He even asked me if I would give his wife a referral for Danielle. Which I did. But now I realize that probably noone probably told Danielle I was coughing my head off and incidentally still am. I am very displeased and hope I never have to deal with your staff again. It is too bad because it seems that since I have been a patient for three or more years, I shouldn't have to explain everytime I am having a health crisis and have to deal with suspicious, rude staff. Sincerely, Elaine Gentl

Not sure if I love it or hate it!  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I'm new to the area and picked out this Dr. from my provider directory. I wanted a female and someone close to my home. When I walked in I felt like I was in a dirty welfare clinic or something. It was a business suite converted to a tiny dr. office. There were all these really grossly sick nasty people in there and I wanted to bolt. But I already paid my co-pay (they make you pay BEFORE you see the doc - weird) so I stayed.

I am confused what to rate them because the staff and Dr. are all SUPER nice people and did their job well. It's just the surroundings are questionable.

PROS: Good service, friendly staff, open 6 days a week
CONS: Environment could be more presentable
