Great area for downtown Portland activities and for walking to the waterfront. My family recommended this "safe nice" place after we found it online. I DO plan on returning!??

We enjoyed everything... From Willy at the counter to Mr. Pierre taking us to this hotel and back to the airport. Close to everything was perfect. Our daughter will be attending PSU so we will be back staying here again.??

We have found the staff at University Place to be very friendly, hospitable and helpful. We're very pleased to be staying here. I would especially like to mention the (Russian?) lady who has been cleaning our room. She has been excellent. Very much appreciated.??

Enjoyed my stay very much. Nice, clean, comfortable accommodations. Peaceful stay and was able to get a great nights sleep. The desk clerks were always very helpful, courteous and gracious hosts!! I would recommend for others visiting PSU and downtown Portland to consider staying at University Place! Thanks so much for a very enjoyable stay. Though the hotel is not new, I find that it is very well kept and clean. For the price, it is an exceptional value. The rooms are always clean and neat. I am particularly impressed with the front desk staff, who are very helpful and accommodating. My personal favorite is Willie, who goes out of his way to make me feel welcome.

The firm bed is comfortable. Good service at check-in. Reasonable conference rate. Good maid service in room - very clean overall, very fine experience!

I saw this hotel while on a walk during a previous visit in Portland and since it is near PSU - where my daughter attends, I decided to stay here on this trip. I will definitely be returning and will recommend it to friends and family.??
