Visited Alooosions for the first time today! It is such a hidden little seceret! I love their cucumber water! I had a facial, eyebrow wax, and manicure. All the services were excellent and the girls that worked on me were adorable! Very smart and friendly you felt like they were your best friends by the end of the treatment! I think I found my new hangout!

As a guy it's very hard to find a salon that not only caters to the male client but also cuts great hair. Men if you ever want to go to a place that has hot women all around, check out Aloosions! They are all over the place in there!

Love this salon! Love the people! Love the feeling! Go Check it out! Everyone is so friendly and outgoing! These girls all educate you on what's best for your hair and skin so your hair actually does what it's supposed to do when you are not at the salon! I have never felt so good about myself! You must check this place out!

Purchased a similar voucher for mani, haircut, massage, etc. Came in and was told that card expired after six months -- as indicated by a mere (6) on the back panel... I had to come back the next day for another appt, since "you can only utilize one service a day", and they hadn't even made the appointment for the right day...

In the end, the services were okay, but they were NOT worth the stress and frustration. I don't recommend the place. After I got my manicure, I went to an actual nail salon to get a pedicure, and that was so much better.

Hands down Aloosions Salon and and Spa is the best waxing place that I have been to in AZ! I moved out here from Florida, the home of Brazilian waxing and i have tried so many different places for waxing since being out here in AZ! This is the first place that actually knows what they are doing when they are giving Brazilians! Kim is awesome! There is no pain and they are super fast! Also she knows how to arch a brow perfectly! If you need waxing you need to go see Kim at Aloosions!

Warning to those before buying an Aloosion's salon card deal. I also bought a card for the salon and spa that included the facial, haircut, massage, pedicure. I was told there was absolutely no expiration date when I bought the card and that was the selling point for my purchase. This sales pitch is false. I bought mine at the P.F. Chang's marathon expo. When I called for an appointment at the spa, I was informed that the card is only good for 6 months after the purchase date. There is no expiration date anywhere on the card. Aloosions blamed the company selling the card, BDBG Promotions, for making such statements and did not own up to the terms of the card, which has no expiration date. Buyer beware.

I purchased a card from a Smart Circle sales rep. For a bargain rate of $50, I got the following as an intro to Aloosions: 30 min. facial, min. massage, manicure, and haricut. One of these pays for itself - very good deal!

However, I can tell you I will NOT be going back for the following reasons:

Haircut: I upgraded to do highlights as well. I went to Charlie. He seemed a little awkward/inexperienced for his age.
PROS: He picked a fabulous color to highlight my hair with.
CONS: He used A LOT of product. He also used a round harsh, bristle brush to blowdry my hair. I am way low maintainence, but I could have styled it better - and trust me, I am no expert! He also blowdried to the MAX, I couldn't even pull my fingers through it when he was done. Overall, I would NEVER go back to this guy. He was the first hairstylist that was so awkward, I barely said a word to him. It was an uncomfortable situation for me and my hair.

Manicure: This was the only one I didn't do an upgrade on. I used Peggy (?). She was great, really personable, really chatty. My only complaint with her was that I requested a french manicure and she did it by hand, not correcting the squiggly lines with a nail polish removal brush. Overall, I would not go back. I have enough chatty girlfriends that I don't have to pay and I could do the same manicure myself and save the $25.

Massage: I upgraded to the hour swedish massage. I don't recall who my massuase (spell check!) was, but she was a younger female who used the room on the right hand side of the salon. She was okay, but she didn't really relax me that much. To make matters worse, as I was checking out she commented on my back breaking out (I think there were about a half a dozen spots on my back as a backlash from tanning). Thanks for bringing that up in front of everyone in the salon! She even went as far to talk about my 'backne' in the lobby of the salon and trying to pedal push the salon's products in front of me. THANKS! I couldn't have run out of there faster. Overall: NEVER GOING BACK. A massuase (spell check again!) is exposed to your naked body - something most people are never fully comfortable with. They should never discuss your personal business in front of others, or ever really. I didn't come in for someone to criticize my flaws. Maybe if I went back, she could give me some tips in the lobby on how to minimize those love handles too. Thanks, dear! (P.S. You were no 10 either hunny).

Facial: I upgraded to the "Gifts of the Sea" facial. I can't remember this chick's name either, but she is adorable, has fabulous skin (very comforting - she must know what she's doing). This was the one service I was very pleased with. She was great, not very judgmental but honest. She was happy to answer any questions I had about skin care and she was great at making me feel relaxed. The only complaint I have is that she also was pedal pushing the salon's products (this must be a rule or they get some bomb commission). OVERALL: I would go back to her.

IF YOU TAKE AWAY ANYTHING FROM THIS REVIEW:

1) The whole product sales process is very bizarre, because typically the massuases, aethetisians, manicurists, hairstylists, etc., tell you to take your time getting dressed/meeting them downstairs so that they can line up products at the register, basically trying to shove these products down your throat. They explain to you why you need them (see the massage story on why this can be incredibly embarrassing at points!) and then leaving them at the counter while you check out. The cashier will then ask you if you were "able" to purchase those items (you know Scottsdale, no one wants to look cheap!).

2) Because this is a smaller salon, there are a lot of people who are not very 'specialized' in their area of 'expertise.' Think about it - if you were a hairstylist, would you work in a salon where there are only 2 haircutting stations or would you hang out in a happening salon that specializes in hairstyling with other hairstylists where you can all bounce ideas and tips off each other. Talk about 'learning new things everyday.'
