    .

I agree with the comments regarding the front office staff. There must be 6 employees working the front office, and they are all too busy to ask about your pet or make a comment. If you try to talk to them they brush you off. I am not talking about engaging them in coversation that takes them away from their work, they just FAIL at the ability to comment about anything. (Oh, they do talk amongst themselves).

I also agree the vet office up charges and up sells everything. That being said, I have yet to find a vet in Southern CA that doesn't. They have a huge markup on prescriptions, and there are some prescriptions I could buy at the costco pharmacy if they would write me a prescription. When I lived in Northern CA, I had a cat vet, a dog vet, and an Avian vet. All three vets would sometimes do something without charging. Like when the cats were in for an exam and shots, the vet or tech would trim the nails at no charge. Or, they would explain the human equivlant in medication and write you a prescription (which is always cheaper). Not here. If you cannot afford certain test that they are up selling, they make you feel very guilty. They are constantly wanting to ultrasounds in almost every diagnostic situation.

Other than Dr. Libel the turn over of vets seems constant. My last vet there seemed like she finished vet school the week prior. (An exaggeration, but she wasn't out of vet school longer than a few months). It seems like it is a training practice, the young vets come out of vet school get a job there, stay a year and move on. An apt with Dr. Libel is usually several weeks out. I really like him, but if your pet is sick you won't get a sameday or next day apt with him. That is why I have ended up with other vets at the practice.

I was dog sitting for a friend. Her dog became lethargic and I took it here. The young vet diagnosed it as 'sad its owner was out of town'. Later that night I had to take the dog to the ER, where is was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer.

This place is just a bad clinic. No one knows what's going on, every time I call I am on hold for 20 mins, none of the 20 front desk ladies know what medication they are even handing you and not pleasant to deal with. Don't go there on Thursdays because it's craziness with the half price vaccines. I normally don't give bad reviews but this place just deserves it. Overall just disappointing.
