We moved to West Linn in September from Milwaukie ( I know don't get me started ) and on the first night in our new place we "found" this gem! If you can find a single person that works there that has given you a bad experience I can give you 10 times as many stories about our good experiences we have had. And we go there a lot probably more than we should! Jack the bartender is just plain cool and way easy to get along with absolutely no attitude with him or anyone else. I am working on trying every item on the menu and have got about 1/2 down. The food is great with excellent portions and to top it off the cooks are very cool as well. The owner usually hangs out and waits on tables while socializing with the bar patrons. The only con I can think of is they only have a few taps but it is quality beer ( Deschuttes ) but I like variety. Oh and one thing, please don't come on Monday night for .75 tacos as I can barely make it before the place fills up as it is!

Pros: All of the employees

Cons: Trying...........oh! maybe a few more tap beers?!?!

Oh, for the love of the B & B Burger. I think this is the best tasting burger I have ever had. Excellent quality beef topped with blue cheese and bacon. Both the shoe string fries and the side salad are great complements. The service has always been friendly & the prices are good.

Best food and prices in town. People want value and that's what you get at the Linn City Pub. The seating is comfotable and spacious. The service is fabulous, the portions are big and the price is right. My personal favorite is the fish and chips.

We have lived in West Linn for 18 years and the restaurant now known as Linn City Pub is the last in a long line of changing owners. We feel this is the most successful venue of them all. Previous occupants had a more eclectic menu but priced themselves out of the market. Linn City is what you imagine when you hear the word "pub." It is noisy and friendly with good-natured patrons and staff. You see many families, often with kids in their sports uniforms. The draft brews are great and the food is consistently good. Among our favorites are the Halibut Sandwich, all the Burgers, the Steak and Bleu Cheese Salad and the Barbecue Sandwich. The fries are crispy and tasty and the cole slaw is a great blend. For the price, you just can't go wrong. We feel like we now have an entity that will last for a long time in West Linn.

Located right off Hwy 43 and about one mile from 205, this was my first time here and I thought there were some positives and negatives. Starting out with the plusses, the food and service were excellent. I ordered the B&B burger (blue cheese and bacon) and it was a mouth watering tasty burger. The size of that thing was huge! It was reasonably priced at $6.99 and it came with fries. For a dollar extra I ordered a small side salad in lieu of fries. The owner and the waitress came to our table at separate times and they were both really friendly. And our waitress was great at keeping our soda and water glasses full at all times and overall paying a lot of attention to us.

The negatives: the owner said they are known for their fish and chips, but it costs a whopping $12.99. Another thing is the name of the place. Ok, I realize that Linn City used to be the original name of West Linn but the name might give other people the idea that since West Linn and Oregon City are so close in proximity that the pub name is combination of these two cities. Since those towns are huge rivals in sports (and most likely other things), to call it Linn City Pub probably might not make West Linn?ers too happy, especially the people that don?t know the history of their town. And I?d bet the people from Oregon City smile a lot when they eat at or drive by the Linn City.

When you walk in it?s an awkward layout. Entering, you can clearly see the bar, and on the perimeter of the interior are booths, while right in the middle are tables. It?s like walking into a great room of a house. It would seem they need some separation between the bar, booths, and seating in the middle.

I?d patronage Linn City Pub again but only if I?m in the area as I live in Tualatin. I wouldn?t make a special trip to come back.

Pros: Service and Food

Cons: Ambience, Name of the Restaurant

.

The best thing about this fine establishment is that every monday night from 5-10 p.m. they offer fifty cent tacos and two dollar pints. Unfortunatly, they have recently set a limit to the number of tacos one person can order. The other food is rather good as well, and there is a great atmosphere.

PROS: 50 cent taco night
CONS: There is an limit of 8 tacos per person.
