Their red sause is something to be desired. The last time I ate there i had the spagetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good but the sauce tasted burnt. That was the last time i ate there. they also charge to get a side of bread and butter. I will not go back there again

This pasta restaurant is a local chain, and it's a slight step up in niceness and price from places like the Spaghetti Factory. The pastas are fresh and tasty, and they serve delicious garlicky salads and bread, too. A nice spot for a reasonably priced dinner.

Had a craving for Italian food, saw this place while driving around with a couple of buddies, and gave it a shot. Glad we did - we had a great time at Pastini. The food was good, it wasn't spendy, they had some Italian beers, etc.

Saw the whole gamut of people dining here - families, groups of friends like us, people that looked nervous (i.e. first date spot), and more. A diverse set of people for sure.

The restaurant itself was clean and the atmosphere was very laid back and casual.

This is one of the best new additions to inner southeast restaurants. Pasta is piping hot and served attractively and is so very reasonably priced. You can have a salad, main dish, coffee and dessert for less than $20! The portions are just right and made with quality ingredients. Problem with the skinny parking spaces but worth the effort.

We had eaten here before and thought the service was adequate and the food pretty good. Last night we returned to find the host disinterested and the wait staff even worse. We asked for a booth and were told there were none available. Not 2 minutes after we were seated at a noisy table by the door 2 booths were vacated. You would think the host person would at least offer to move us but she was too busy chatting with other employees. We were forced to be proactive in our interests. No need to worry about getting fat off the food in this place as the portions are minuscule. After our tiny portions were served we asked for ground pepper -- the wait person walked around the restaurant at least 3 times to other tables or employees before seeing to our request. Consistent good service and food are essential to a good reputation. This place has neither.

Went with a few friends and had the Butternut Squash Ravioli, it is especially great for this time of year and I crave it. My friends thought is sounded so good that they ordered it too, didn't just want a bite of mine. We shared a bottle of the wine of the month, a great deal and very nice. My friends did consent to share a Bistro salad and they were impressed with all of the flavors, from the Pancetta to the Gorgonzola Herb dressing. The fresh bread is warm and just the right compliment to each dish. We had the Chocolate Tartuffo and the Tiramisu for dessert along with some of their great coffee. Lots of laughs, great conversation and a wonderful place to have a meal!

I recently went to Pastini and was really pleased to see a diverse menu with lots of vegetarian options. They have at least 10 different vegetarian entrees (all well under $10) that offer an amazing variety of choices. Not only do they serve spaghetti, but also zucchini, fettuccine, capellini, polenta, macaroni and cheese. and several other dishes. I ordered their Vegetarian Ziti that was incredibly delicious. The portion was generous and included zucchini, squash, fresh tomatoes, pesto, fresh herbs, and bread... all for $7.95. A really good meal for a great price!

The atmosphere was very clean, relaxing and spacious. The staff was really friendly and attentive to their guests. I would highly recommend Pastini to anyone who loves great Italian food.

Waitstaff was nice and very accomodating to our group - we couldn't decide and they were very helpful in suggestions! They knew their menu inside and out.

Was impressed with the inexpensive prices and our group of five enjoyed our suggested selections by the waitstaff. Thanks for helping us out!

At least once per month I stop by Pastini on Division for lunch. The food is good and filling, especially when you're craving a substantial meal.

I love olives and usually get the assortment appetizer. For $3.50 you cannot go wrong. The quality is much better than the olive bars at Zupans (expensive) and Safeway's feeble attempt to upscale.

Last week I had the vegetarian pasta for the first time, which has olives of course. The weather was too hot for alfredo or gorganzola. I enjoyed the squash, pesto flavor and sundried tomatoes.

If you're in southeast Portland, it's a nice place for casual business lunch.

This is a favorite neighborhood restaurant of ours. We have been frequenting it almost weekly since its opening several years ago. We have used Pastini for catering, purchased gift cards as gifts, and all in all have been very satisfied and happy customers. Tonight my husband and I stopped in after a long and busy week to have a quiet Friday night dinner. We asked for a booth and were told by the hostess that she would clear one and seat us immediately. We were the only party waiting. While the booth was being cleared and cleaned, another couple came in. They asked for a booth and were escorted to the booth and seated. When the hostess returned I reminded her that we were waiting for that booth. She showed us a large, open booth next to the kitchen and said we would be very comfortable there. We told her we weren't interested and would eat elsewhere. I am shocked that this restaurant feels it is doing so well that they can afford to treat customers like this. It will be a very long time before we return to or use the services of Pastini. I am still in shock about the treatment we received with no apology or explanation.

We went to Pastini and had a great lunch! First, we were greeted warmly by our friendly server. The menu has so many choices of pasta that are around $8.95, which is a great deal for lunch or dinner. We had a large Spinach Salad and a large Gorgonzola Chicken Insalata. Both were plentiful and delicious. The sandwiches sound great too, like the Grilled Portobello Panini and the more classic Meatball Sandwich. We are definitely coming back for those soon!

Seriously, this place is disgusting. I ordered rigatoni in a vodka sauce and the dish was worse than expected for a chain restaurant with little soul. The vodka sauce was watery and runny and the rigatoni was slimy and overcooked. My boyfriend got the baked ziti and the sausage was gray and rubbery. It was more like a hot dog than a piece of sausage. The ziti was mushy. The salad and bread were the best things we ate and they were mediocre at best. The decor is tacky and the meals are way overpriced. If you are looking for Italian food, try Serrato instead.

Best italian place in PDX that I have found! Awsome food, we usually get appetizer, main entry, dessert, and wine. Its always excellent and a good price! We have always had excellent service and the only thing I can think of to complain about is the parking - or lack of parking I should say!

I've been to several different Pastini locations in and around Portland and I have to say; each location has superb Italian food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Some chains, you can definitely feel the quality wane from restaurant to restaurant. It's not like this for Pastini.

Anyway, I thought I'd write a review up for this Division & 21st location since I went there for the first time a couple of nights ago.

First of all, great location. The restaurant itself is easily accessible. Second, the atmosphere - very classy, nice strong colors, good Italian vibe.

The food was awesome. First impression when my fettuccine with creamy chicken sauce was placed on the table - that's a LOT of food for not a lot of money! And it isn't just slopped on the plate either - presentation was really nice. My fiancee had a really big salad and she seemed satisfied.

If you're an appetizer person (or not, it doesn't matter because) you NEED to try the bruschetta classic or something like that. Some of the best bread I've ever tasted!

So this location of Pastini does not disappoint: same great food, nice price, lots of families eating there but also romantic enough to sit in the corner with your significant other. Very much recommended!

I've sampled Pizza from all over the US and found only one pizza that compared with Pierre's-in Amesbury, MA. Are there any pizza lovers in Portland that rember the Pierre pizza sold from his deli on 39th & Powell? I would certainly love to find pizza that good again.

My partner and I went here for lunch today. We were seated promptly when we arrived at 12:15pm. Our order was taking and our food arrived quickly after. The drinks were okay. The food was really good. I love the bread too. My complaint is with the parking availablity, not with the food. Parking is TERRIBLE! Other than that a great dining experience was had by all.

Pastini is a pretty good little pasta shop. We must have beat the dinner crowd because we were promptly seated, but after that only mediocrely attended by the waitress, though she was quite nice when she did manage to stop by. What bothered me more was the very uncomfortable booth seat my wife and I sat on. Not that I expect fine leather, but it was a stained piece of wood, could have at least had a cushion. None the less, the food made it worth it. Tasted great and a damn good value. Not the best restruant ever, but a good place to stop by from time to time.

Our family visits Pastini at least once a week for the best food at a great price. But the service is what really keeps us coming back...the wait staff is outstanding and consistent!

The food is yummy and a good value, but don't go there for good service. The hostess was non-exsistant and after having to hunt a waitress down to see where we could seat, the service only got worse. Wait time was very long, two parties (3-5 people) seated 20 -30 minutes after us received their food before us (we were only a party of two). After the food received, we were ignored by the server until AFTER we finished our meal, and that was only to fill water glasses, despite our empty glasses DURING the meal. Once the check was received, we were than once again ignored by the server and had to beckon the "hostess" if someone would please take our check. I attempted to make a complaint with the company, but no comment cards avail. nor is their website accomadating. Very disapointed.

Our Portland, Bend, and Corvallis Italian restaurants feature affordable fresh and authentic pastas. As owners, we are personally involved in every aspect of our restaurants. We know that using fresh, local ingredients makes a difference to our customers and to our community. Unlike the big, corporate chains, we handcraft each entrée to order. We begin with sizzling garlic and olive oil, add fresh, local ingredients, and finish with fragrant herbs and grated parmesan. We create all of our soups, sauces, pestos and dressings fresh every day. We hand-form our authentic meatballs. We make our own croutons. We bake the butternut squash that goes into our Rigatoni Zuccati. We roast the balsamic onions for our Spinach Salad Balsamico. We whip the creamy mascarpone that is layered into our handmade Tiramisu. And, we source fresh produce, dairy, artisan breads, coffee, and meat locally. Come in and experience the local difference! Complementing our pastas are authentic antipasti, crisp salads, rustic sandwiches, and handcrafted desserts. Our well-priced wine list includes bottles from both stellar Oregon wineries and small, family-owned vineyards in Italy. Or you can sip a Pastini Italian Cocktail or quaff a local microbrew.
