I've tried about 20 Pliates places in the city, and this is the best.
OK, I soured on Pilates a couple of years ago, because so many of the studios were "precious,' pretentious and insincere. Then I injured my back last year, and I realized (with the help of my MD) that I'd need rehab. One of the studios my doctor suggested was Centered Body, and I begrudgingly gave it a try. One word: Magic. Oona, Alisa and Tamar are on top of their game. They are "attitude free," and extremely knowledgeable. My back problems are gone, and I'm in the best shape of my life. And maybe best of all, I remember why I liked Pilates so much. Nuff said.
Pros: Extremely skilled trainers. Very relaxing space.

Comparing Pilates to Chiropractic, obviously no contestÂ…
These guys rock, big time
If you cant get Oona one on one dont sweet, she hired true professionals who will totally be the best resolve for you situation. As far as the Pilates vs. Chiropractic comparison, Im not certified to make that call, but great location studio in Glen Park, I love how zen your setup is. You guys have a place just around the corner from Farleys in Potrero hill right?

Privates or Classes, it's all good
Centered Body Pilates is the most user friendly Pilates Studio I know. Trainers are attentive and fun to work with; making sure that you are always (even when you don't want to be) using the correct muscles, posture and level of energy necessary to achieve your goals. Their knowledge of what makes the body work is extensive and they will be happy to explain as much or as little to you as you want to know. In Centered Body Pilates, Oona Nelson has provided a setting that makes you look forward to coming back and where small class sizes allow you to get personal attention from the highly skilled and energetic trainers.

Centered Body Pilates
Ive been going to Centered Bodys for about 2 years or so. I got started in one of the classes and it helped me so much that I decided take private lessons and Ive never felt better. Let me tell you, if youre thinking about trying Pilates I highly recommend it because its helped me so much. Furthermore, I think Centered Body is a great place to do it; the staff there is very helpful, they have all the equipment even though its a smaller studio, and I like that its a smaller studio because I get all the attention I need and I dont feel like its a factory.
Great people, nice facilities, easy parking. Highly recommended.

Centered Body - simply the best!
I really, really love this place. Oona and her staff are the best: Extremely knowledgeable and skilled, fun and low key. I've tried all of the places on The Hill and in SOMA, and this is by far my favorite. Seriously, this is what Pilates is about. No pressure or pretense, just a top-notch work out. It's a very calming, bright environment - and the view! My sessions are the highlight of my day.
Pros: Amazing view, Easy parking, Calm atmosphere
