Exceptional decor and atmosphere in this hip downtown bar and restaurant. Creative concept and interesting menu. Food is well prepared and attractively presented. Service exceptional. But very high prices lend an expectation of food that would be more unique.
If price is of no concern then recommended, but if value for money is important, then suggest you try elsewhere.

Pros: Service, presentation, decor, atmosphere

Cons: Price; lacking uniqueness in food prep

I've been to Asia do Cuba and it's loads of fun if you are in the Union Sq. area and want a bit of the club feel without being in an actual club. It is a bit pretentious and you may want to pre-party because the drinks are expensive. The only time I have been in to eat sit down style was during dine about town. They only offered one dish on the three course deal and it was decent but not worth the money. I have had a few small plates while we were out with a similar reaction.

The decor is rather regal. You feel a bit like you are sitting in a thrown.

The first time I was introduced to this place it was for drinks after an office party. From that evening on, I??ve been hooked. Since then, I've moved up the corporate ladder, switched companies, moved across the country, and remain a loyal patron whenever I visit San Fran or Miami. For those who have not been here, it is similar to a lot of Asian fusion restaurants that have sprung up in the last fifteen years from the west coast to the east coast, but something about this place always makes me feel like my day is complete. Ambiance : dimly lit, slightly pretentious, high energy, and tolerable noise level. Food : consistently delicious. Though it is not authentic, they certainly serve some fine fusion dishes.

WOW. I really like this place. I'm surprised by some of the unhappy reviews. Anyway, I come here quite often because it is right next to Redwood Room (bar) so its the perfect venue to dine and have drinks afterwards + pass out at the Clift hotel if you've had too many drinks. I agree -- it is on the pricey side, but you are also paying for the atmosphere. Food is good too and I've never had a problem with service.

Don't be fooled by the promotions and nice decor. Asia de Cuba is gross, overpriced, and the service sucks. Trust me you will be happy you skipped it.
