It was a wonderful shopping experience! Metropolitan Living has a diverse inventory of furniture from which to choose. The staff is extremely knowledgeable which helped with our purchases. Their website is user-friendly and a visit to the store is a pleasure. Their extremely competitive prices, quality merchandise and customer service continue to bring us back when our home needs a facelift. Despite living in a remote area of San Diego, delivery was not a problem to them. Delivery was on time and very professional. We are always asked how we furnished our home. Without hesitation, our recommendation is Metropolitan Living.

I went to this place looking for something modern for my living room. I wasn't able to find anything I like don the floor but they were able to show me some things from their manufacturers catalog that I did like. I ordered a TV stand and a sectional from them and got a great price and prompt delivery. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality furniture.

These guys are great. Huge selection. Helpful staff (especially Tom). Decent prices. Very good communication. I live in New York and have ordered several pieces of lovely modern furniture from Metropolitan Living/losangelesfurniture.com. They have always kept me apprised of when things come in, when they are shipped, and how to communicate with the trucking company while the furniture is in transit. They have helped me track down pieces that match furniture I already have. They always answer the phone, and if the person you need to speak to isn't available, they always call back. Yes, sometimes you have to wait for your furniture. What do you expect? The retailer doesn't control the manufacturer's production schedule or the trans-oceanic shipping usually required to get the stuff to the U.S. in the first place. Honestly, these guys are great to deal with and I have no problem giving them my business.

I was so excited about the savings I have been recommending them to everyone I know.

A traumatic experience all around from the salesman Tom to store manager Jeff. Last Oct 5, 2009 my sister from australia wanted to gift me with a leather couch. Tom sold us promptly one and told us it was a match leather. When we got home and googled the furniture we ordered it was indeed BONDED leather which really is VINYL- we asked him about the difference when we placed the order and he said he did not know). We went back to the store and wanted to cancel the order but since we had already paid he hard sold us and gave options to choose another one which is real matched leather. We went ahead and chose another one and he said it will not be available until mid november (we were willing to wait for 6 wks rather than deal with a vinyl furniture ). A week before Nov 15 I called and public relations Karla told me she will call me to update on delivery. A few days prior to mid-Nov , Karla called to say it will be another 4 weeks!. I decided to cancel the order altogether because I needed one sooner than that. My nightmare began- they wanted me to go down to the showroom and choose another one. I made my decision and had lost confidence with this store so I was steadfast in cancelling. They sure dragged their feet in sending me the invoice and at the end Jeff the manager was so unprofessional and hang- up on me. I kept an e-mail trail to protect my order/cancellation. And they told me refund will be another 2 weeks (from e-mail cancellation which cannot be done until they send an e-mail invoice!)
Buyer beware- read the policies at the back of the invoice- make sure you ask a lot of questions re. the furniture and delivery date. The experience is definitely like going to a used car dealership...caveat emptor!
Thumbs down on everything- false representation and poor customer service. I am hoping that we get the full refund !
