Melting Pot Restaurant

I met this girl and our first date was to the Melting Pot. I thought the melting pot was a reference to the play, "The Melting Pot" about immigrants coming to America. So; I was dressed like a proud American; big flag shirt and a USA hat. Boy was I wrong; and it was during the riots in France - man I was getting real bad looks and someone even said something rude to my date...in French. My date wanted to leave, but we were already sitting down. Anyway; they brought out this big pot of fondue and everything was going well. The atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasing. The staff was pretty friendly (besides the one lady asking me to take off my hat). And the food was really nice.

Watch out thought; it is real hot. My date tried to feed me and a big chunk of beef and cheese stuck to my face. It was like boiling acid and I had a large red mark on my face for the rest of the week. To make it worse; she stuck me with the sharp spears - it got infected and I had to see a doctor the next week.

Worst date ever; but the melting pot is awesome. Just do your homework before you go - it takes a lot of talent to pull off fondue. Plus it is a fancy restaurant; so dress nice.

PROS: good food; if you know how
CONS: REAL HOT FOOD that sticks to skin

Though this place is expensive, I highly recommend this place for group outings. Waitstaff is excellent. Cheese/Desert fondues are top notch! Great wine!

PROS: Wonderful atmosphere to catch up on old times.
CONS: Dinner can take about 2 hours or more to complete
