Many classes for the begging as well as the accomplished quilter or seamstress. I always enjoy dropping in to see the latest or signing up for a class. The owners as well as all the staff give the best customer service.

Pros: great customer service, great selection

This is by far the best quilt shop around! I love to embroider and this is the first shop that I have been to that sells patterns, floss, tea towels and supplies. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I stopped in to pick up some muslin and ended up leaving several hours later with a bag of treasures. They have a dazzling selection of fabrics and unique notions. What makes it all so tempting is that they have finished projects all over the store. I wanted to make everything! I usually drive to the Bay Area for my fabrics but this store rivals any of my usual haunts. The employees are friendly and helpful without being bothersome. I'll definitely be back as soon as my charge card cools off.

I took a beginning sewing class with Carolyn in February and it was awesome. She showed us the basics and help through every step of the process. She made sewing much less intimidating. Everyone at the shop was very helpful as well. If you're new to this, a fabric store can be quite intimidating and they helped me feel comfortable.

Thank you!!!!

A bunch of friends and I took a beginner class with Carolyn. She was so full of energy, so much fun, so helpful, and really knew her stuff. Bearpaws had lots of great fabric for us to choose from...especially in the bargain bin!

We loved it so much, we are getting together again to take another class this Sunday! I love this shop and it's employees!

Last February, Sacramento had a large storm blowing down many electric lines around the whole area. Saturday, after the storm had slowed down and we were cold, my husband and I decided to talk a walk to get warm and check out the damage. Soon, we came to a strip mall of El Camino Ave with one store open.As we came closer, we could see flickering lights and people coming out with bags. We decided to go inside to see the excitement. It was "Magical". There were camp lanterns here and there with a few candles around. Electric table lamps were on and there were two huge double lite propane construction site lites on. We could see lots of people roaming around chatting and laughing. In the class room, we saw helped ourselves to cupcakes and punch.Found out the owner's husband is in construction so every 2 hours all the electric lights would dim and go out with everyone saying "OOOHH!" as they stopped in their tracks then in 3 minutes, the lights would come on and all would clap and continue their shopping and laughing. Her husband needed to fill the gas generator out back to get the lights back on.After talking to several of the ladies who worked there, this day was planned 3 month ago to be their 3rd anniversary so that is why so many were working and the food and drink. Also, there was a 20% discount on all cut fabric. I even saw a couple ladies went home to get their head lamps so they could see the fabric better. This went on from 10am to 4pm, their regular working hours. How nice to see people taking a bad event and making it wonderful. I know we have told our friends about the "Magical Quilt Shop" and what happened and even though I am not a quilter, I have taken my friends there to look and meet the wonderful ladies who work there.

I made the trip there last year and found them not very well stocked for quilting supplies even though they did carry a large assortment of fabric. BUT they are no longer there. Don't know if they just moved or went out of business.
