Yup they're bogus,they also told me to bring in my slow PC, I bring it in and 10 minuts later they want 300 to speed up my windows and anti virus. I should of just bought a new one but all of there PC were like $800 and I didn't feel like shopping around. So I get my computer back a few days later and yeah its faster than before, but i should have just gotten a new from walmart since I would have saved more time and money.

As the owner of Data Doctors unhappy customer's are always of concern. When the customer brings in the system we can evaluate many things at the front counter. However if the system does not power on when WE look at it in the store during the FREE evaluation/check up the only thing we can do is check the system in for Advanced Diagnostics. This includes testing on all hardware(MOBO, Hard Drive, RAM, Power Supply, Video, Sound cards and Data Rescue options). Surprisingly enough there are many systems that won't turn on at home that will boot at the store. Sometimes there is an explanation and sometimes there is not. Advanced Diagnostics (and protecting the customer's data) is our next option beyond the free check up.

I called and told them that my computer would not turn on and that it wasn't the cord. They told me to bring it in and they would do a free in store service check and let me know how much it would cost to fix. My husband took it in and they told him that since it didn't turn on, they couldn't do the free service check and would charge us $129 to tell us what was wrong. This is all after I told them on the phone that it wouldn't turn on. False advertising! He took the computer and left. What a bogus place.
