Just went to Elway's this past weekend for a special occasion. We were looking forward to a great meal, considering the prices, but were very disappointed with the food.

Shrimp cocktail - biggest shrimp I've ever seen, but not much

Nice ambiance for dinner but.... hostesses were unfriendly and waitstaff was aloof and condescending. The level of service and quality of food is not comensurate with the high prices.
I ordered a glass of wine, enjoyed it and when finished

Thank goodness they had biscuits so we could tide ourselves over until we could get home and eat. The "Hollaindaise" wasn't hollondaise it was some disgusting mustard mayo sauce (neither mayo or mustard are ingredients in Hollaindaise).

Up until this point, I had only been to Elways on the bar side. This time we had a big table of people for lunch and I was impressed. The food was excellent. The lobster club was just right (although more lobster would have been good - it seemed like it had more bread than necessary) but it was still very tasty. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The dessert Ding Dong is AMAZING. I wish the lunch prices were a bit lower but I do recommend this place for sure.

Daughters graduation celebration. Ordered 3 steaks out of 4 people, sent all 3 back. All 3 steaks were sitting in a pool of blood. 2 steaks were ordered Med-Well and 1 was Med. Sent 2 of the steaks back, they came back bloody, again. We gave up at that point.
Appetizers, ordered the coconut shirmp, over cooked.

5 star restuarant with 2 star food. They have either kids cooking in the kitchen or cooks without proper expereince. My one and only visit.

This was one of the three restaurants my wife and I visited during 5280. We went to Elways, the Melting Pot and Vista dipping grill.

First of all, the servers had zero personality. ZERO. No introduction, no smile, nothing. The first thing one of them said (after about a 5-7 min. wait) was "Would you like anything to drink?" No reccomendations, nothing. You can tell that Management hasn't spent enough time training their staff to appreciate every customer and to help build the base. Their obliviousness is the reason I or my wife will never be back.

The food is pretty good. They served a very fatty prime rib, salmon (didn't try it) and a nice peice of sirloin. Before you all yawn at the sirloin, understand it was a 10 oz cut cooked perfectly. Very good.

The red pepper soup was amazing.

The side dishes were very good. We ordered the corn and potatoes. Amazing stuff here. Lot's of flavor with a home cooking feel.

Dessert was a waste of time. Lollipops? I knew what we were getting in to with 5280 because of the online menu, but these were pathetic. The table next to us joked about it as well.

Note to Elways: 5280 is a time to showcase your restaurant. From the ambiance to the service to the food. You did ok on all three. I'm not suggesting you give away the house, but you should ATTEMPT TO BLOW PEOPLES MINDS.

Just like Vesta and The Melting Pot did.

Our waiter Tim was very personable the moment we sat down. His knowledge on helping me pick out wine was fantastic. I'm always on the look out for a place that serves buffalo which Elway's did!! The side dishes were spectacular especially the cream corn. I loved everything about this place from start to finish. The next time I'm in CO I will definitely come back to this place :)

My girlfriend and went to the Elways in CC to celebrate our two year anniversary. Our server spent a lot of time talking to us helping us to pick out a great bottle of wine. She was one of the best servers that I have ever had. Our meal was great from start to finish. The coconut shrimp our huge and were cooked perfectly. We both went for the bone in ribeye. It was delicious. For dessert they presented us with a house made ding dong that had happy anniversary written in icing. We could not have asked for a better experience.

A colleaugue and I traveling in town for business went to the highly recommended steakhouse in CC for dinner and were met with absolutely horrible service. We met our waitoy and ordered appetizers, entrees and drinks at the same time. That was the last time he provided service until it was time for desert. The staff failed to bus the table after eating our apetizer and the plates sat on the table while we ate the entrees. Unfortunately, my entree (roasted chicken) was served to me overcooked and I had to flag down an alternate waitor for assistance. He failed to apologize and was very rude and unprofessional sfter I explained my concern. Outraged, I called over a manager and discussed my experience and she was very empathetic and comped the bill. and Needless to say, I would not recommend Elway's, unless the manager waited the tables. She made a intollerable experience better at the end of the night.

I took my sister and her family to Elway's Cherry Creek to celebrate her 50th birthday. When we arrived the table looked very nice and had candies on it.

The first thing we did was to ask to order souffles and the waitress said, "I think we are out, let me check." She came back out from the kitchen and said we could order them after all. We ordered 3 and told the waitress that we would order additional desserts. Meanwhile, once she saw that we were not ordering liquor, she failed to offer us other beverages until we asked.

Dinner was mediocre; portions were amazingly small for the price, especially when compared to Capital Grill, Ruth??s Chris or Morton??s. For example, the potatoes au gratin were about $11.00, for a serving that was in a 1? shallow dish 3? x 3?.

Our server was very inattentive. We had to ask others to provide us with beverages and water refills.

Before the dinner dishes were removed from table, the souffles came. We had to ask for spoons because we did not get utensils with the souffles. We had to ask for the dessert menu for my mom. And, we hadn??t even been offered coffee! I think we would have liked to eat dessert together.

What was more upsetting for me, however, was the reaction on my sister??s face when the table behind us and the table across from us both got sparklers and a special birthday/anniversary dessert! I looked at the waitress and she clearly could see I was not pleased. She had been fawning over those tables throughout the evening, and the restaurant was fairly empty.

She disappeared into the kitchen and the next thing you know (after the souffles, after finally receiving my mom's dessert, and when we were getting ready to leave) a ??ding dong? dessert shows up with a sparkler. It was a total after thought. It made my sister feel bad.

I was disappointed, but my sister??s 20 year old son gets embarrassed when we draw attention if something is not right. My sister called the next day to speak to the manager, Joe. At first her listened and then said he was sorry and that he would take her phone number and call her back.

He went to speak to his servers and he called her back. He proceeded to tell her that his servers said that everything was fine so he was sorry but the servers said everything was fine. Basically calling her a liar and implying that what we experienced was our imagination.

I guess the days of the customer (the ones paying) is always right does not exist anymore. The service should be impeccable.

We drove all the way from Colorado Springs to have dinner at Elways to celebrate her birthday. My sister had a choice of so many restaurants and we picked Elways. It is a shame that our opinions and observations were valued not valued by Elways. The paying customer should be appreciated.

Cons: Service (including customer service)

For the location price and name I may have been expecting too much. The food is good. the service is good. The ambiance is like the mirage in Vegas. Nice but boring. Needless to say I won't be going back.

Elway's is one of the premier steak houses in Denver. The atmosphere is really nice and the food is great. The prices are comparable with other fancy steak houses like Ruth Chris.

Overall, a nice place for a big meal. Despite the name, this is not the place for a casual night to watch the game.

Elways is a stunning restaurant with excellent service and an upbeat vibe that just can't be beat. Our only complaint is that they seem to drown many of the side dishes with some sort of seasoning salt that takes away the flavor of the vegetables. Also, the wedge salad has been reduced to half the size as when they originally opened and the price has remained the same. If iceberg lettuce has increased that much in price (which I haven't noticed at our local grocer), then increase the price 25 cents. Everything else on the menu is superb -- meats, poultry, fish, and oh yes, their wonderful desserts

I first went to Elway's a few years ago when it first opened. I remember the scene very well - very "see and be seen" with our favorite Cherry Creek cougars getting sloshed on $15 martinis at the over-polished bar. I can't say I cared for it. The entrees were slightly above-average with unnecessarily large portions and the side items cost a fortune. It all lead up to an annoyingly pretentious experience. I tried again about 3 weeks after this experience and had the same result - so I decided to write Elway's off my list. I'm glad a friend talked me into going back - this time for Brunch. We're some of those people who "brunch" nearly every weekend. We try new places each time - and have a few favorite standbys (Le Central for $2 mimosa Saturdays - Vita for their fab french toast - Lucile's for the beignets). This particular week, we were doing some shopping and decided to go to Elway?s. It was pouring, and the valet was extremely attentive, and even managed to keep my shoes dry. The brunch entrees were extremely reasonable in price - and the portions were perfect (if not a little big!) When I say reasonable - I mean $7 for a full meal. Yes...$7. Some entrees also include crab or steak (worth it!) for a reasonable $15-20. No crazy side item upcharges, just great food in a quiet atmosphere (the cougars were asleep, I surmised).

So go there for brunch - and if you're penny pinching - skip the still-pricey mimosas and try the gourmet coffee.

Denvers most famous sports hero has turned his skills to the restaurant business. Elways is a beautiful steakhouse in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. Not only do they have a huge patio which is perfect 3 seasons of the year - the bar space is also large and comfortable.

The service is impeccable and the steaks are to die for. I'd rather go here than Ruth Chris or Mortons. If only for the more relaxed atmosphere.

My husband and I recently ate at Elway's for our wedding anniversary. We had made a reservation through Opentable and were seated immediately upon our arrival, at exactly our reservation time. This was on a Saturday night and it was very busy so I was impressed that there was not a wait as some other reviewers have mentioned. We had 2 servers and both were excellent, well informed and yet non obtrusive. Our drinks were kept refilled and they were very informed about the menu. The food was excellent as well, the steaks prepared just exactly as we ordered them and the sides were yummy as well. The manager came to our table at one point to inquire how our meal was going. I felt the service all around was excellent. I don't understand the negative reviews except to say either someone came in on an off night or the management has stepped up to correct any problems. I would highly recommend Elway's for a nice dinner out.

We had an 815 reservation and were not sat for over an hour. Our drink glasses were dirty with lipstick marks, no cocktail service in the bar/lounge area, table was off center and my husband was sat under a harsh spotlight, food was delivered to the wrong table, and water glasses were NEVER refilled. Food was good but not worth the price. Overall experience was HORRIBLE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Elways?s is one of our favorite places to go for filet. We?ve been there on multiple occasions for both dinner and Sunday brunch. Every time we?ve gone we?ve made reservations and our table has always been ready as promised. The wait staff is always wonderful and although they know a lot about the menu I would overall describe them as ?fun, welcoming, & friendly? (in a good way, and we know most of them now). One of the managers, Lucy Allen, typically makes rounds at all the guest tables and asks for feedback and makes recommendations.

The food is truly outstanding and I think they have the best filet anywhere. My husband gets the 12 oz filet and I get the 8 oz, we both like them rare. The side dishes are all wonderful with our favorites being the broccolini with saba syrup and the creamed spinach. My husbands favorite appetizer is the calamari (not my favorite as I don?t like the peppers and it reminds me of the calamari at The Capitol Grille) and my favorite is the beef tartare. Their wedge salad is simply perfect.

Their brunch is also very good and the Bloody Mary?s are wonderful and are served with a large cocktail shrimp.

The atmosphere varies depending on the night of the week and time of day. I?ve gone after work while dressed up, on weekends in jeans with a nice sweater or shirt, and on Sunday mornings in jeans and a sweatshirt. Sunday mornings seem to be the most casual as a lot of people go there before going to football games. The bar area can definitely be a ?scene? and a pick up joint for adults (35 to 65 year olds) which we find amusing at times.

Also, if you?re a John Elway fan (we?re Redskins fans but everyone is still nice to us) your chances of seeing him there are high.

After reading some reviews on Elways (Cherry Creek location) I was really nervous about taking my husband and friends there for my Husbands birthday. I decided to make reservation and give it a chance though. I am so happy that I did. We heard that people had to wait regardless of reservations. We went expecting to wait at the bar, but were seated right away. We had two wonderful waiters (one in training I assume) who were both extremely eager to please, as was the manager of the restaurant who checked in with us to make sure we were happy with our meal. Our water and drinks were always filled, and we always had food at the table. Our waiter gave us suggestions as well as answered any questions we had as to the food or the way something was cooked. We all got different meals and they were all amazing, Halibut was fabulous, as was the Filet, porterhouse, cauiliflour, asperagus, shrimp cocktail, and the salads. The restaurant was a little loud, we sat near the front close to the bar so it might be a little more quiet further into the restaurant, but we didn't mind since we were with a small group. It was quite expensive for a group of four, but I knew that going into it so it wasn't so bad, not ot mention we had drinks which add up quickly. I don't think we would dine there regularly because of the cost, but it was a great place for a special occasion and my husband was very happy with my choice in restaurant. It was a great restaurant although I WOULD NOT recommend it as somewhere to take the kiddos (which thank goodness we didn't), but great for a night away,

Pros: food, atmosphere

Cons: cost

A few days ago, I dined with my parents and a friend at Elways. Since there was a wait for seating, we approached the bar for pre-dinner drinks... the bartender was extremely rude and took way too long to even acknowledge us. As a previous bartender and restaurant industry member for over 8 years, I expect quality service, especially from a four-start restaurant.

The service continued to lack as we were seated. We had a combination of two servers who were very snobby and had little to say to us as the night went on.

Even though the service was mediocre, the food was pretty tasty. The steak chili was spicy and delicious, especially with sour cream, cheddar cheese, and onions on top. The Asian salad and Greek Salads were also worth ordering.

The food was excellent but the service was so rude it ruined the experience. The hostesses talked among themselves rather than greeted guests. The staff was annoyed we ordered off the 52.80 menu -which we had to ask for. During 5280 week we ate at 4 restaurants, Elways was the ONLY one that made you ask for that menu. Additionally, they left us sitting there for no less than 10 minutes with the menus- no one would take our order. The wait staff barely spoke to us and would not make eye contact. Overall, I would never eat there again. No food is good enough to put up with that snobiness.

Ok.. First of all. My wife read the reviews and was concerned about the service and food. My wife made reservations for my Birthday..My wife had all the Broncos's sign a game ball for me so she thought Elway's would be a great place to give me the gift.

NOW.. i had never been to Elway's and I was not sure what to expect. I entertain a lot so I eat at the fine restaurants. Valet was great and the front door was a couple steps from the car. I was very...very surprised at the quality of the service. With two people at our table the service ran like a fine sewing machine.. very impressed. Then the food came. The appetizers were great and so was the selection. I am going out on a limb here but I thought the Ribye was the best in Denver. Hard to believe since I have had steaks at all the top steak houses...but yes the steak was amazing. The sides were also good. I had the Birthday chocolate covered ding/dong but did not get to try their fine deserts. Wine and port selection was also very good.

Overall I was very impressed with everything and I will be back.

Great job Elway's.

My wife and I went in last weekend for a steak and had to wait forever at the bar (over an hour even though we had reservations). Once we were finally seated the waitstaff was very nice but seemed very disorganized. There were multiple people waiting on us and we had no idea who to ask for another drink. When we did finally get another drink (10minutes later) the menus finally arrived. The steaks were over cooked and the side dishes although large had no flavor and zero presentation. It was simply slapped on a plate and looked and tasted like cafeteria food. As we paid and left no one gave us our coats (I went and got them myself). We will not be back...Majorly over priced for lousy food and service.

We are really big Bronco fans and flew out to Denver for a game! We thought it would be really neat to eat at Elways to really round out the whole experience. I wanted to wear my Elway Team Jersey but was sure that I would blend in too much with everyone else there. My husband and I dressed in Broncos T-shirts and jeans expecting to blend in just fine but wanting to show our enthusiasism for the Broncos. We stood out like sore thumbs. Everyone there was dressed very nice. Nobody wore Broncos anytthing. There were tux's and evening gowns, but mostly just very nice dressed people. We had made reservations and our waitress was very nice commenting on what nice t-shirts. We felt so totally out of place. We expected the food to be expensive and it was. What I didn't expect was that if you ordered an expensive steak.... that was all you got unless you ordered a side which cost another six dollars for mashed potatoes. Our food was good but mine was so underdone that I couldn't eat it. I didn't send it back though. We already felt like we didn't belong. I just wanted to make people aware so noone else goes through what we did. We went the night before the Broncos first home game I think that was the only restraunt that I've ever been to in Denver where their wasn't a ton of excitement about the Broncos. We are glad that we experienced this resteraunt once but we won't do it again.

In Denver, good food and service in a place with character is hard to find. Unfortunately it is even harder to find at Elway's. We attended Elway's on late reservations for our wedding anniversary last Friday expecting a 4-star experience, but the experience was less than stellar.

We were greeted promptly and seated within 15 minutes of our reservations. During the evening we were never able to figure out who our server was. We were greeted by Tim who asked us if "B" had been by to greet us and bring water. With nothing on our table other than napkins, we said "no" and he promptly left. "B" eventually showed up with water and that was the peak of the service.

We started with the Rhode Island Calamari appetizer. The menu promised a lightly breaded calamari tossed with stuffed olives, peppers, and baby corn. What arrived was drenched in oil (apparently a combination of fryer and cheap olive) and virtually flavorless. After being able to flag down "B" we sent the dish back.

For the mains my wife ordered the Swordfish and I ordered the Double-cut Pork Chop. As sides we selected the Cremini Mushrooms and the Asparagus. The Swordfish presented poorly, but my wife enjoyed it; the bite she shared with me was reasonable, but heavily spiced and a bit on the dry side. The Chop presented beautifully and was nearly 2 inches thick. The size of the piece of meat is a bit unruly on the plate, so I decided to cut the chop in half along the bones. The first 1/2 was quite tasty, but well done. The second 1/2 had flavor, but was so over done that you had to really work it with the steak knife to hack through it; I gave up 2 bites in. As for the sides, the asparagus was woody and flavorless; the mushrooms were the highlight of the service.

During the main course ordeal we would only see Tim and "B" blur by the table with nary a glance at us. With empty-drinks and 1/2 eaten plates we finally flagged down "B" to get our checks.

It's 4th and long John.

Well the one time I decided to venture into Elways I was on business in Denver, I decided that I wanted to go out and have a nice meal. As we passed by Cherry Creek mall I noticed Elways and thought it would be a nice change from national chains. I was dressed in a nice oxford shirt and some jeans and my co-worker just the same. We decided to head in and we were seated on the patio. We noticed the manager was standing at the table next to us talking to two lovely ladies. We waited and waited and waited and finally a young waitress said she would be with us shortly. After waiting about 1o minuets total we decided to leave and head over somewhere else. If I am going to spend 50 dollars on a meal I would at least expect to get a drink with in 10 minutes. The manager just stood at the table next to us the whole time talking about how well he knew "John". If you are looking for a good meal with good service GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The meals are probably great if you ever get served.

Elway's is where my brother and sister in law had their rehearsal dinner for their wedding this past June. They had reservations and when we arrived, but we had to wait over an hour to get in. Hanging out in the bar was a wall to wall sea of people, mostly older men and women. Once the back room opened up for us, the service was wonderful. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. My only complaint about dinner was the crab. I don't even want to know how much it cost, but I'm from Seattle, and when you order King crab legs, you expect to get the legs. I got a small portion of them drowning in butter. I had to send them back so I didn't have a coronary attack. The replacement came fairly soon, and was not great. But I do have to say it's a beautiful restaurant, and the wait staff rocked!!

I love the atmosphere at Elways and the service was good -- however, the food was not that great. The baked potatoe had definately been around for awhile - the salad was limp BUT the vegetables (green beans) were great. The sauce - which costs extra - the sauce was really not very good - in fact it was awful. Both my husband and I were feeling a little queasy that evening after dinner and also the next day. I actually think that the dressing on the salad or in my case the Bernaise Sauce was out a little to long.
The patrons were beautiful -- BUT -- I think if I want to eat dinner - I'll go somewhere else next time -- BUT if I want to be seen -- well -- there's Elways.

I've gotten into a terrible habit, but I would highly recommend it! Two weeks ago I had lunch at Elway's and experienced the BEST burger of my life (the Smash Burger). That same evening, I met a friend of mine at the bar for a toddy after work. We met 3 other people at the bar that night ( we all play on the same volleyball team now) and had a great time. Wednesday is now my Elway's day. I have lunch there, and then return about 6:00 for a drink and some great conversation. The atmosphere there is comfortable and very welcoming, they have nice flat sceens, and I don't have to worry about sitting next to a guy with a purple mohawk wearing crocs.

Elway's is probably my favorite lunch place and has a wonderful relaxed dinner atmosphere as well. Service is attentive, but not obtrusive; food is always delightful and if you are a bloody mary fan, you must try this one. All in all, I can't recall ever having a bad experience. The menu is also varied. One can have a simple burger (that is always a good time) or the best Mediteranean salad that I have ever had or go with something a little more unique like crab fried rice or duck tacos. A favorite, for sure.

We eat out a lot but have found no place we like as much as Elway's. You can get a fantastic meal in a friendly, non-pretenous atmosphere. The Japanese Sea Bass and crab fried rice are unusual and delicious. My husband loves the Filet with a Ceasar Salad (great dressing, I crave it!) We usually share a dessert and hang out because it's comfortable. Elway's is always a good evening out!

Worst meal in town. I have seen John Elway at Tamayo's, so I know he knows good food and service. Why doesn't he read the reviews and change things? I guess because he doesnt have to.

My expensive steak was so filled with gristle, I had to emit it out in my napkin, over and over. Finally I could stand it no longer & took it back. The second steak was not cool in the midlle but ice cold. Could not eat either steak.

Upon arriving at 5:15 pm (no crowds), it took 5 minutes to get seated, while 6 waitstaff just stared at us, no one offered to take our coats or seat us.

Very loud place. If you like Red Lobster you might like this place. If you like Mizuna, Capitol Grille or Tamayo, you will not care for this at all.

To be fair, the food was OK, but not worth the price tag by any means. You get the food like you would get at the Cheesecake Factory or Claim Jumper. Those are not bad places, but don?t charge $50 for a steak "a la cart" I would recommend to Mr. Elway to hire better chefs and revise the menu a bit. Not that the food or chefs are bad, it just doesn?t match with the outrageous price.

My husband and I decided to try a new restaurant when we came across an add for Elway's: it was a picture of spicy tuna layered with rice, topped with fresh cucumber, carrot shavings and sesame seeds. The picture made my mouth water. When we came in to the restaurant, it was extremely loud. The hostess gave me weird looks while walking us to the table. The appetizers came quickly, but didn't taste like anything special. My tuna tart was fresh, but lacked spices and salt; the avocado needed some kick too. The presentation of the main course was horrible - my black bass looked like a piece of boiled fish (no sauce, no spices). The asparagus was under cooked. My husband's Hawaiian fish looked better, but tasted like paper. There wasn't even any deserts that I wanted to try. I would not go back there.

Not only was I dissapointed, but I felt a bit insulted. I have spent the past year recovering from a life threatening illness. I have recovered and I my friends and family wanted to treat me to eat out. We thought we would try Elway's steak house in Cherry Creek. I would say overall the food was average.

What really dissapointed me, hurt my feeling and really made me mad was the waiter. He had absolutely no class. Before asking you if he could refill your wine glass or remove your plate, he would simply barge his big hand in front of your face and do whatever he wanted. Grabbing the menu from the table, grabbing plates. Refilling your empty wine glass all without asking for permission first. Finally I had to go out of my way to tell him to please not refill my wine glass.
This is a pretty insulting experience. After spending a year worrying about my health, I had to worry about some waiter hitting me in the face with a plate or menu.
Sorry, but I won't ever go to this restaurant again.

We celebrated our son in laws birthday here. We made online reservations, and informed them at that time that we were celebrating a birthday. From the moment we walked in, to the time we walked out, we were blown away by the service, food, and birthday recognition! We will definitely return, and without hesitation would recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had dined at Elways almost a year ago sure the atmosphere is great, but what the wait staff fails to inform you about is the "RAW HORSE RADISH" sauce. My poor husband scooped a big portion of it with a jumbo shrimp and almost passed out from it being so hot. My husband didn't think it was worth all the hype that was surrounding this restaurant and he decided that he never wants to step foot in the place again. Me on the other hand I decided to give it another try what the heck what could I lose the second time around. I decided to take my mother and my mother-in-law, we had a great waitress and the valet staff was friendly. One thing that just didn't seem quite right was the guy I guess you would call him the host for the evening. He was greeting everyone at their tables and asking how was the meal and so on but he never once came to our table. I thought to myself what type of place is this? If you're going to give good service from the very start when you very first walk into the door shouldn't it continue after you've finished your meal? I was very disappointed and I even sent an email to a person that is affiliated with the restaurant regarding this matter. Did I get a response in return? Of course not that would be too much like right. Del Frisco's anyone????

Pros: Valet parking, waiters

Cons: Host, horseradish sauce

Elway's is not ready for "prime" time yet. The pricing is way ahead of the food. We ordered a rib eye steak and the lamb med. rare, expecting to find red meat in the middle. Instead, the meat sat around for so long that it had steamed itself to a tough well done mess. Others at our table we're also disappointed. The waiter offered to take one entree off the ticket. Then the service really went down hill. No second cup of coffee and a quick delivery of a $600.00 bill. Elway's not ready to compete w/ the best of Denver yet. Find some grill master chefs and waiters that can time their meal service. Or maybe it's just time to punt!

I got food poisening. Not sure which item it was. I think it might have been the soup which was not as hot as it might have needed to be.

A friend and I went to Elway's on a Friday night. I was expecting it to be upscale and uncomfortable but all in all it was one of my greatest dining experiences thus far. Our server was amazing. She was always around, but didn't bother us at the same time. My favorite part was the live music. They had a great duo jamming out oldies on the piano. I just really felt great there. We sat on the patio, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

My wife and I had reservations for valentine's day. We were seated promptly, our two wait staff were very helpful and courtious and food was delicious. The menu has a nice balance of seafood and steak. Her sea bass was not over cooked, my bone in steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were very good. Although Elways was very busy, we did not feel rushed. As good a steakhouse on a very busy evening you could find.

After waiting 30 minutes to be seated from our reservation, we were greeted by a waiter that was below average until about 45 mnutes into our meal. After that he got better but the food did not. Our calamari was rubbery, salads were what you would get at an average diner. The steaks were very big, with decent flavor, but not what I would expect from a upscale steak restaurant. Overall an average experience, not worth doing again.
