Ratings_icons An Unusual Eatery & Boutique

This is more of a cafe type eatery, then a restaurant, with a sandwich and salad menu, specializing in bagels. I had a salad and although it was pretty basic, it was fresh and tasty. I think the real draw to this cafe is the eclectic boutique that surrounds you, it is too much fun! I hope to go back someday when live entertainment is happening. Visiting here is more of an event then just a meal!

Visited this "theatrical boutique cafe" this evening with a friend who is a regular there. It's a clothing, jewelry, novelty type store with a cafe and stage at the very back. Interesting concept that was developed by two sisters who run the place. Part of the concept of this place was developed to help provide a creative outlet for anyone who's into poetry, music, art, children's programs, etc... Very artsy, everything is one of a kind. Hand made jewelry, beautifully hand bound poetry books and artwork fills the store. There is a monthly newsletter you can pick up at the counter and at the back of it is a schedule of events for that month. Monday night is a "showcase your talent" night and sunday nights are "poetry nights". Guest artists are invited to make an appearance every now and then. There was nothing scheduled there tonight but I was in luck because there was a really good pianist who entertained us with some great tunes and compositions of his own. Drop in if you're looking for a place to share your thoughts and artistic developments with others who share the same passion.
