I actually was here the day before the great Japan earthquake & tsunami 2011. :-(

BUT the Sushi here is/was well managed. Everything was fresh (important to me) and there, with employees, was pride in the arts of making a great experience.

This place is opened nearly all the time (regardless of other reviews) and should be approached from the very north end of Caesars... across for the Venetian... If you enter from the front In the South of Caesars ... you will walk for a mile and see many other sushi establishments that would not work .. not to mention any other attractions

Sushi Roku is a place I will go out of my way for Sushi in the future when in Las Vegas.

I really hope you see the quality of service and food as I did there... enjoy.

ric

Anyway... it is worth seeking out... with a date or not. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a great lunch at this restaurant before leaving for airport. We started our meal with delicious sangria and then had hamburgers for lunch. We ended the meal by sharing a cool refreshing citrus pound cake. The food was excellent, the service very good and the ambience delightful. It was the perfect place to end our stay in Las Vegas.

Pros: Ex: strong margaritas, heated patio

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

`Omakase` normally means you're sitting at a sushi bar, letting the chef choose delicious things for you to eat. At Sushi Roku it means you've opted to submit yourself to some of their best food with an extremely slick presentation. A breakdown of my most recent meal; \r
\r
0 Course: complimentary chamagne; added water and plum wine to the drink roster as well. (Their plum wine is delicious, don't miss it.) \r
\r
1st course: fresh scallop / tuna belly / foie gras wrapped in yellowtail. This last item deserves special note, easily being one of the most delicious things I've had the privledge to eat. \r
\r
2nd course: light salad with slices of sea bass, ginger dressing. \r
\r
3rd course: very thinly sliced pieces of halibut, a dab of spicy daikon on each. Looked unusual as I wasn't familiar with the slicing technique. Delicious. \r
\r
4th: blackened, baked cod - so tender it flaked apart at the touch. First impression was astonishment that an upscale sushi place would sell cod, one of the most common seaside fish in the world. Whatever they did to this fish has made me a fan for life. It couldn't top the foie gras / yellowtail, but it certainly gave a mighty try. \r
\r
5th: `volcano cake` (warm chocolate cake with liquid chocolate filling) for dessert. \r
\r
I'm already planning a visit on my next trip to Vegas. If you love sushi, go to Sushi Roku. If you want to avoid the crowds and scene-folk, go on a Monday or Tuesday. The place was very open at 7pm but filled up quickly after dark.

Pros: Great view of the strip, best sushi in Vegas

Cons: A few too many scene-folk

I was so impressed with the design of this resturante. Comfortable raised leather booths, strip views and not a bad seat in the house. The food was fresh, clean with beautiful presentation. Take your time, no one is rushing you. Sip that Saki and enjoy every bite. I will eat at this resturante everytime I visit Vegas.

I ate at Sushi Roku in September 2008. My husband is a vegan and it is often difficult to find suitable options for him and sometimes staff treats us poorly as we ask a lot of questions. We had a great experience at Sushi Roku. The staff pointed out multiple options for the husband and recommended ways to modify certain dishes to ensure that they were vegan and they were happy to do so. Most people seem aggravated but they smiled and were so pleasant about it. I had a great meal myself with chicken teriyaki but my husband was in love with their food (although I cannot remember what he had). The staff made the restaurant a great option and we will certainly visit again. The food was also priced reasonably and the drinks were decent.

Sushi Roku is one of the best sushi restaurants on the Las Vegas strip. They offer a large variety of Asian food that tastes great! The prices are a little high, but well worth it!

Honestly, I've tasted better. It's not bad like Smith's Food King or Costco bad. But it's OK. Large dining area makes it nice to dine. Large windows overlooking strip. Trendy, modern decor. But aside from that, food is good, but OK.

Ate here for lunch recently. I had the assorted sushi sampler and a spicy tuna roll. The meal came with miso soup - - all for $19! The fish was delicious and the service was attentive and quick.

WOW! This place rocks! Last night we had awesome service and incredible food! It was a HAUL from the monorail, but well worth it. By far, one of the best meals I have ever had. I went with a party of four. We started with a sake sampler (highly recommend) and ordered the chef's special for $90. What a great deal! Lots of things I never would have ordered, but everything I ate was delicious! There was a foie gras to die for and a killer sea bass with yuzu butter that I will dream about for time to come. For the prices on the menu, this was a spectacular deal and phenomenal quality. Others in my party ordered a la carte. Their food was also good, but they envied my 6 courses. Dinner was not cheap - $500 without tip, but it was memorable and yummy! If you have the funds and the appetite, I would suggest this restaurant for sure!

My mom and I went to Sushi Roku last night and had a great time. The service was excellent. I didn't have to ask for anything. They cleared plates quickly, keep cocktails coming before the current one was empty. Checked back just to check back. The Sushi Chefs were personable and very quick. Atmosphere is pretty much standard for trendy Vegas restaurants. Modern and funky. I recommend the Titan roll and the Shima. The Titan was $26 but that is to be expected in Vegas nowadays (Lobster and Steak lunch for $6.99 anyone?). The bar was packed with people generally hanging out and not exactly sitting down for dinner. We lucked out not having a reservation and sat at the sushi bar less than 10 minutes after getting there. The bartender was extremely nice as well. She was quick and friendly.

Sashimi quality excellent. Rolls average at best. Although the size of the yellowtail sashimi left much to be desired. Ok for tourists not for locals.

What a gorgeous view! The restaurant was gorgeous too, but when in Vegas you want to see the strip and that is what I watched all night. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi was too, no smoke and mirrors at this Vegas spot, unlike a lot of other places we tried.\r

Eaten at Sushi Roku x 2. The service was above average - friendly waiter/ waitress. The food portions were very small for the price - I'm sure that the rent is exhorbitant and probably why prices are so high. Very nice restroom. Possibly ok for special occasions but I would prefer Japango's or Nobu for that price.

...Cheesy title, but the food is nothing but. All fresh dishes, unique with spectacular presentation. The server was highly competent, friendly and very knowledgable about the dishes. The decor is ideal for any type of get together that requires a kicked back, yet sophisticated ambiance. And the view from our table was extraordinary - the bright lights from the strip wouldn't make us forget that we were in the fabulous city of LV!\r

The Kobe Beef Sushi was darn tasty. So tender, a piece could be split in half with a chopstick. In addition I had the Tokyo Ramen w/Pork Cha-Shu. Also very tasty, with a rich broth and a few very tender slices of pork. I am not usually a big fan of seafood sushi, but I sampled from my girlfriend's plate and was impressed with what the chefs created with the spicy tuna.\r
\r
Service was impressive, as well. Half-way through a Coke and it was replaced with a completely fresh Coke. Our waiter was informative and offered suggestions that turned out to be very well received.

Not the best sushi, for sure. The food was just okay. The service was kinda slow for 4.30 PM early dinner with only 2 other tables. Either she was new at the time or the kitchen was on break. My husband did not eat sushi so he ordered the Chicken GInger (something like that), he said my home cook fried chicken was better. And it took more that half an hour after we finished appetizer. Overall we was not satisfied with what we get and what we spend.

Sushi was ok, kind of expensive but I guess that's what you\r
get for wanting fresh fish in the desert. The only thing we \r
ordered that actually turned out to be interesting was the \r
crunchy tuna roll, the outside was battered in tempura.

I absolutely adore Sushi Roku. They not only have the most amazing Japanese cuisine, but their staff is completely stellar. Every time I've been in there I've had a great experience. The hostesses are lovely, the waiters are friendly, and the sushi chef's are completely charming. They have this cool little lounge that is adjacent to the bar where you can really wind down and relax while filling up. The music they play has a cool lounge vibe. It's like being in a really trendy place without all the trendiness. There's good lighting and great ambience. Not only is the scene fabuoulous, but the food is to die for. I have spent hours in there with my girlfriends enjoying innovative cocktails (try the Tokyo Cooler) and ordering sushi. It's a great way to wind down after work, but even better to start off your night. Sushi Roku is definitely the Hot Spot.

All I can say is WOW!! We are from Japan and have a strong passion for great sushi. I am impressed how many Americans are becoming so sushi savvy and falling in love with the sushi cuisine. We also were blown away to see that sushi roku has Master Sushi Chefs on their staff who pick out the sushi daily and have it flown in from the best fish markets in LA. That is the only way to keep the quality at sushi high levels. Many people call themselves sushi man but the Master Sushi Chef is a big deal in Japan and even more impressive for a restaurant in the US to recognize and appreciate. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Thanks from all the sushi lovers!!

Here's an example: We ordered the $10 shrimp tempura and received a small plate with 2 fried shrimp. I think the other shrimp escaped, because we are used to at least 5-6 shrimp for $6.

The true test of a sushi restaurant is the Toro. Toro(fatty tuna) must be fresh, smooth, and melt in your mouth. We ordered the $40 toro sashimi and were extremely disappointed. We received a total of 4 small, square, pale pieces. The toro was anything but smooth, and had a stringy ligament in the middle of one of the pieces. We were forced to send it back.

We have come to the conclusion that this restaurant must use VACUUM-PACKED grade sushi. There is no way that it would taste so bland if it were fresh.

Overall, the rolls were uninspiring and overpriced.

AVOID this restaurant, and sushi all together in Vegas, and try another restaurant.

a group of us had a little b-day dinner at Sushi Roku and were blown away by the food, service and ambience. Pass on those ridiculously expensive resurants full of posers and try this little gem. It's funky and hip without being annoying and the sushi is to die for! Our server was a delight - very knowledgeable. He convinced us to go out on a limb on our dinner and we were so pleased with his recommendations.

This hidden Gem in the corner of the third floor at the Caesar's Forum shops is incredible. Go for dinner or even better make it over there for happy hour where you'll receive unheard of deals on sushi and drinks at the bar. Try and make it Wednesday through Friday evenings when Ryan is behind the bar. His Texan hospitality and overall knowledge of the menu and drinks he pours makes you feel extremely comforatable. The restaurant is clean and well designed without being pretentious or stuffy. If you are in Vegas make it a point to check this place out.
