Farmers Market Maui

This place is special, so if you are expecting a supermarket-type experience you are in the wrong store. It's a rootsy place, with good music playing, and lots of tourists and also people from the community coming together there. Everything is vegetarian and they don't sell anything with eggs, food coloring, or preservatives. They have lots of local produce and a good size organic section. I found the staff to be very helpful when I was trying to pick out some vitamins. Every day there is a sample area set up where you can taste the dips and salad dressings that they make... yum. Oh, and the sweet corn and the fresh guacamole are awesome!!

Everyone seems to love this place and I think it's a case of "I must like it because everyone else does." I do frequent there myself but always leave wondering why. You have to search each product to make sure it's not expired before you buy it. If they are out of something, it seems to never be reordered. I can easily overlook those things and be a loyal customer if treated right but a few of the head workers are out and out rude. It doesn't seen to matter how long the line gets, they can't be bothered to open another line and... Oh well, they do have organic fruit.
