I have been to offices that have great reviews and fail miserably...I chose this office simply because it was conveniently located.I was also amazed at the courteous and hospitable atmosphere. They definitely go the extra mile. Their current technology was definitely an upgrade compared to my last dental office. I can honestly say I hate going to the dentist but this was a very pleasant experience . I highly recommend this office to anyone who is searching

I made an appointment for my daughter since we were assigned to the office. We didn't have to wait long. The doctor and staff were very friendly and made my daughter feel very comfortable. She was also able to see the orthodontist as well. The office has all specialty which is very conveinent!

I was very happy with the office and would recommend Baywood Dental Group to all my friends!

If you are reading good reviews, disregard them. Seriously. They exist to get as much money from their patients as possible. They will triple book patients so we can get in as many people in a day as possible. I witnessed a lady in severe pain yelling at the receptionist for making her wait so long. I also had to get on them about the wait time. Why support this kind of place? It takes 1 minute to switch your denist over the phone. My husband couldn't get a simple cleaning b/c they insisted that he get a thorough xray. He refused the xray b/c he just got them done not to long ago elsewhere, and they said he couldn't get his teeth cleaned. They were pressuring me to get all kinds of work done and I told them I just need to do what was absolutely needed. I'm so disappointed that we are keeping them in business!

The office runs scams on people. They will give you 10 different prices for the same thing and still send you a bill for more $.
Used car people hope more ethics than this office.....stay away or at least hide your $$$$....awful. Bait and switch is a crime!!!!

Do yourself a favor and find a better dental

They ARE CROOKS!! I also walked in with a printout of procedures covered by my insurance to make sure I wasn't going to be overcharged. It Doesn't matter they'll come up with an excuse to overcharge you.

DON'T GO HERE!!!

My experience with this office has been absolutely horrible! I cannot believe the high-pressure, up-sell, and bait and switch tactics that they employ to make $$$$. Just simply unbelievable. I am still absolutely astonished. I just wonder how many patrons are even aware of their practices based on 'your teeth will all fall out today if you don't do this immediately' based fear tactic. Of course, any reasonable person would think to check and verify the necessity and fees they charge, only to quickly find out that not only are they being dubious about the fees and correct insurance coverages but frequently including procedures that are flatly not necessary. Absolutely no conscience at this place..Remove the wool from you eyes people!!!

I will never go back. I advised the staff when I made the appt that I have severe anxiety about dentists. I also put that on my new patient paperwork at their office. I was put in an exam room and left for over one hour. No one came to check on me. I had to listen to dental drills and such all that time which contributed to my anxiety. When they finally did come, I told the dentist about this. She agreed it was a long wait and after my exam I could talk to the office manager. The office manager dismissed my concerns by saying I had booked an appt on their busiest day (let's blame the customer!) and that new patient exams always take 1-2 hours (they don't because I've had them at other dentists before). I never got an apology. I couldn't wait to get out when it was done. NO ONE tried to relieve my anxiety in any way at that office after I told them about it.

I know that this office has some bad reviews but honestly if you go in there, they treat you like family. The Dentist is so sweet. She always calls me sweetheart. The front office is so friendly. There is a girl that sits in the middle of the office (in a glass office) is always on top of things she comes out and greats everyone, then she takes patients in and sits them down. I'm an old lady so these things mean the world to me.

I was assigned this office by my insurance. From the website the office looked gorgeous and well established. As soon as I had arrived I had to wait 45 minutes before they called my name because they forgot to verify my insurance?? So that was very frustrating because I gave them that information over the phone when I made my appointment. Once I was finally seated, it took the dentist 15-20 minutes to come see me. Granted she was very nice, knowledgeable and answered all my questions but the entire time she had an Assistant that did not seem like she knew what the heck she was doing?? She had the Dr. Repeat herself 5-7 times while doing the probing on my gums (which is uncomfortable as it is). Thirdly, the coordinator that came in to tell me how much all my services were going to cost, seemed like she was rushing, and didn't for some reason give me a print out (which any other dentist I've ever been to has done)

All in all I wasn't too thrilled about the place. Even though the Dr. seemed great, the staff really made me feel not so-comfortable. I??ll be changing dentists next month

I love this office. I have been a patient there since 2007 and I would not change them for anything in the world. I have been reading their website's Blogs and let me tell you that I like them even more not only do they provide great service but they give back to the community. Very little people give back with nothing in return. Remember that when ever things do not go our way we take it out on the wrong people. I think this is what some of these people have experienced. I think that they expect for everything to go 100 % smooth. This is impossible when they are dealing with difficult people.
To Baywood Dental Group. Please keep up the good job both professionally and morally .

Signed up with Baywood because they were the first place listed with my insurance which didn't have horrible reviews. (should have looked here more) Made a new patient appointment 11am Thursday about 4 weeks out. Showed up 10 minutes early and get asked if I brought the paperwork with me. Paperwork? "Yeah, you can go online and download the new patient paperwork." Would have been helpful information before I go there. Don't you think?

I rush through filling it out to turn it in on time, and then sit there for 35 minutes till I'm called back by the the HR/PR person that all doctors offices seem to have now days. She rattles off something and leaves me with the x-ray machine till the tech arrives 5 minutes later. She shoots 18 (no kidding, I have a copy) different shots to cover my whole mouth. Maybe this is new standard procedure but I have never had that done before. I then get walked to the back where there is no one (11:45 am on a Thursday) and asked if I want the TV on which is mounted right in my face on the chair post. No thanks, I respond.

If I had known that the wait for the doc, with no one else in the place, was 45 minutes maybe I would have watched some TV. Doc looks at my x-rays and teeth and says I need two things, ok fine. The HR/PR lady shows up and says that these two things aren't covered but only costs 400+ dollars.

Ok, well I just want a cleaning. "I don't know if the doc will do just that." She runs off to get the doc, where I expected the three of us would have a discussion. Nope just the doc comes back with an attitude and treats me like I am stupid.

So I said thank you and I will have to take my business elsewhere. What did I lose, almost 2 hours of my life and 25$ for a copy of my x-rays. I hope this helps someone avoid my experience.

I work in the dental field and have visited this office for my treatments. I read some of the negative reviews and it seems to me that people really don't have a good understanding of what different procedures are and what is covered by their insurance and what is not. A lot of people have basic dental insurance which does not cover much. For example, if somebody needs a filling then most likely their insurance covers silver fillings (not recommended) but if they want the white fillings then it is an out of pocket expense. As far as cleanings, the dental offices make recommendations that are in addition to what insurance companies pay for. You can choose not to have those procedures but then you are not getting a complete cleaning. The problem is not this dental office but the insurances these patients have.

Wow! Can you say used car salesman!! I walked in with a printout of procedures covered by my insurance to make sure I wasn't going to be overcharged. Didn't matter!! They even tried telling me that a simple cavity fill was going to cost several hundred out of pocket. They refused to clean my husbands teeth unless he purchased an additional gum cleaning. (which is out of pocket, of course) They should be written up and have their license to practice taken away!! My recommendation is to stay far away and get a different dentist. We did.

I had problems with their billing too. The service they provided was OK. But when my statement from the insurance company came telling me what charges I'm responsible for, it appears that the office overcharged me. When I went their to get a refund for the difference, I was told that the fillings they put in where white and not metal and that's why I was charges extra. I said - whatever you did, should be reflected on my insurance statement. Their saying for the procedure you performed, I should have only paid this amount. I called my insurance co. -luckily, they told the billing mgr. I should have only paid the amount listed. They dealt with making sure I got a refund. But I had to threaten to go to into the dentists exam room to complain before the billing person ran my credit card through for the refund.

I changed to Baywood Dental Group because a friend recommended me a dentist at this group for being honest. At my first visit they told me I had an open margin in my two crowns, and that I "needed" to change the 2 crowns I had because bacteria could be inside and the only way to see if they are ok was by removing them. So I agreed to the treatment.

Some days after this, I was looking at another dental insurance provider copays for crowns and I saw it was much cheaper, so I called the dental office and ask for my treatment codes to see exactly how much it was in this other insurance, so I talked to the dental office about this and they told me that even with this other insurance the procedure would not be covered, and that the only way crowns are covered is if I had a big filling that breaks and that I could not get filling again and then had to get a crown. So looking at the dental insurance I was thinking that it is not useful and talked with David Brecher from a dental insurance company about this. He then told me this did not sound good, it looked like they were taking advantage of me, and got my information to look into this.

I then called Guardian and ask them if it was true they only covered for crowns if I had a big filling that breaks and that I could not get filling again and then had to get a crown, and not covered my problem, the open margin & bacteria, and Guardian called Baywood that moment and talked to Luz, who told them that my procedure was a "COSMETIC" procedure and that my crowns were functional!! Which is a lie and of course they never told me!! They said I needed the new crowns. If they would have tell me they were functional, I would have NEVER agree to have my crowns changed. I am VERY afraid of the needles and the dental drills, why would I want to go into all that pain?? And also, I did not win the lottery to throw $2000 away. And ??this was cosmetic??? Please! My crowns were white and in the back, so having metal inside the crown or a white thing inside of the crowns does not change to the outside, to what is seen!

The only ??option? they gave me was to have it with metal inside or white inside, but Luz told me that the all white crown was better that the one with metal inside because it lasts longer (15 years), so I said I wanted the all white because I don't want to change my crowns every 1 or 2 years, which has been the case (every time I visit a new dentist they say the previous job has something wrong and that I need to change the crowns).

I am so frustrated with dental offices, it seems to me that the only thing they care of is making money and telling you to get things you don??t really need.

I called again Baywood dental group to ask why are they saying my crowns were functional and this is just a cosmetic procedure, when they told me that I needed to change the crowns, and Luz tells me that they did tell me that I needed to change the crowns, but they never told me "it was a medical emergency", which of course they did not tell , and because of not being a "medical emergency" the crowns are not covered by the insurance. If someone tells you that you need something doesn't it means you need it???

I am filing a claim with the insurance company now, and hope to get my money back and pay what is fair, and find a good honest dentist!!

This office is really nice and clean.

Clean office, with a fairly new building, and ample parking available.
Busy moms can feel comfortable bringing their kids with them without feeling like they're being judged.

I was referred to this office by my dentist for a nasty root canal. Turns out I needed two plus a little more. The Dr. was very efficient and took care of business quickly. He thanked me for being such a good patient. The office is beautiful and new and even had movies going which were enjoyable to keep your mind off of teeth, but this could be why they are also a little pricey. Overall I had a good experience and got rid of the pain I was having.
