SUNNY DAYS IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!

by concerned mom F.

I would NOT recommend this daycare to ANYONE! every time I've been in there I have seen way too many children for the number of workers. on numerous occasions there were 10 babies or more in the baby room with only one worker, and 20+ toddlers in the toddler room with only one worker! (I checked with the city of Ammon, and the legal ratio is 5 babies to 1 teacher and 10 toddlers to 1 teacher) so this is not only UNSAFE, it's ILLEGAL too!

also, I've been in there around lunch time, and I noticed the workers did NOT wear gloves while preparing the meal. this to me is unacceptable. especially with all the germs and sicknesses that are common in daycares.

speaking of illnesses, this daycare also has had numerous outbreaks of PINK EYE. lucky for me my child did not catch it, but this was mostly because I kept them from there during the outbreaks. had I relied on the daycare to prevent infection, I'm certain my child would have caught it as well.

the director seems to have an "I DON'T GIVE A CRAP" attitude as well. if you have a concern about your child or their safety, she turns it around on you and makes you feel you've done something wrong. this isn't right.

all in all, I would have to say this is by far the absolute WORST daycare I have ever encountered. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think twice before taking your children here!!!!!

This is the worse daycare

by barbie g.

I wouldn't take my child there again if it was the last daycare.. there isn't enough help there, when you walk in day after day and see 2 workers taking care of all the children, i tend to worry and worry i did. There is such a thing as "child to worker ratio" and this rule isn't being followed . as far as i am concerned as a lot of other mothers, this daycare shouldn't be in business. so a warning to all mothers and fathers.. if your taking your children there be careful and watch and listen to your children, no money in the world is worth a bad daycare.

No problems with Sunny Days

by mom t.

My 3 kids attend Sunny Days in the daycare, preschool and after school care respectively and they love it here. My two youngest enjoy being there like their teachers and are liked, they speak positively about their days at school.

Every day care has its challenges and crazy things do occur, mistakes are made - if it were my kids I would not be forgiving either. But I do take it all across the board and have to say that over all the factors of how to rate a place to send kids, Sunny Days is an above average day care in its price range.

I am totally comfortable with the care my kids get, they are happy at the school and the teachers and director are worthy of a pat on the back.

I wouldn't take my child there

by sarah m.

I had a hard time picking a new daycare, but I chose Sunny Days because they seemed really nice when I went to check them out and they would take my child to her school. I ended up having doubts after only a week. After 3 months of taking my two girls there, I would never recommend them to anyone. My daughter in PM kindergarten had 8 tardies for being dropped off late. Also, the driver went to pick them up one afternoon and my daughter said she thought her grandma was picking her up, so she left. The school called after 45 minutes to ask if we were going to pick her up. I explained their grandma would be picking them up from DAYCARE, not school. I asked that they always pick her up unless I have written a note to tell them otherwise. They agreed and said if they had any question in their mind, they would call me. Only about 2 weeks later, it was Halloween and my daughter said she wanted to go to school early (by the way, my daughter is 5 years old) and they took her and dropped her off at 8 am. She doesn't start school till noon. Once again, her school called me to see why my daughter was dropped off and left alone 4 hours early. They didn't want to have to explain to me why they once again, were responsible for my child but did such an irresponsible thing so they gave us a letter to say it would be my childs last day. I would have taken them out this time, but they didn't even give me the chance. Its a good thing, because when I started talking to people at my work who have tried that daycare, they had all had problems with them and had already pulled them out.
