Montessori Greenhouse Schools

My niece and nephew both attended Montessori Greenhouse for toddler, preschool and elementary. Words cannot adequately explain what kind, caring, intelligent individuals they have become. They are self-starters who are now making a difference in the world. The opportunities they received have provided skills and opportunities for life. The staff at the school were amazing and many of them are still there. This truly seems like a wonderful place for children!

What a wonderful school, my daughter has been their since she was a toddler. The staff is caring and go out of their way to make the child comfortable in their classroom while giving them every opportunity to learn. This school also doesn't hold the child back, the children are able to learn as much as they can strives for. While my daughter was in the third grade she was working on forth and firth grade math, this was a great thing, and allows her to continue to achieve higher. I'm so glad we found this school and would never have given a second thought about leaving her there to grow. She has become a pleasant, thoughtful and caring young girl.

My son was completely unhappy with the school program and his teachers...Janice (Director), Esther, etc. At first we thought he just needed some time to adjust to his new school. After a year we transferred him to another preschool b/c he was so unhappy with Greenhouse. He adjusted to the new preschool immediately and fell in love there. The teachers were loving and caring, and my son talked about them all the time. At the Greenhouse, the teachers were cold and unfriendly. They never greeted him when he arrived in the morning. I don't believe any of them even noticed him when he walked in. Is this Montessori style or is it Greenhouse? I do not recommend this preschool to any parents who are looking for a loving and nurturing environment. Parents who have children there should drop in and observe their child's class to see what really goes on. The teachers and administrator may not like it and will go out of their way cover up anything they don't want you to see. Also, their morning drop off policy is ridiculous. The parents should have the option to walk their child in to the school rather than doing the "drive thru" style where your child is pulled out of the car by a staff and the parent drives off so that next car can pull forward to do the same.
